Chapter 559: 9.02.2 A battle too fast.

With new arms and legs, Dearma showed the most change.

Although losing by the end of the battle, Dearma hadn’t lost much of his confidence in his abilities after the humiliation he suffered at the hands of Dragon.

Dragon mocked him by targeting his remaining limbs, ripping them off before Dearma could disappear. Though this was not the Dearma of the old, there was little to no feeling of hatred on his face at the moment, instead, he appeared jolly to see Dragon so early.

"You are the one who lost his legs..." Dragon smiled finding the face of Dearma somewhat endearing. It’s not every day that you will find people confident enough to face an enemy that exceeds their strength by high margins.

Besides, all the anger that Dragon felt for Dearma had long disappeared with the legs he took away, so his response to Dearma’s question was also mild to show his mood.

"Mister Dragon can’t even recall my name? I feel offended." Dearma spoke, finding the "you" a bit offensive. But before his words could create any misunderstandings, he continued. "But no worries, Mister Dragon can call me whatever you prefer." He spoke before turning to look at Rosso that in Dragon’s hand like an arm bag. "I wonder if sir would like to make a trade of sorts?"

Dragon looked at Dearma, his lustrous arms did earn his interest a bit, but he bit down his greed for a bit. Then his eyes turned below towards the ship and through his yellow eyes, he could see far more than what was possible under his eyes.

There was no need for a domain, for one with Dragon blood, being attracted to the riches was their innate nature. And Dragon was sure that the things inside the ship were wonderful. "I will just take it..." Dragon replied.

"Your arms... that ship and that boy. I will take it all, there is no need for exchanges." A greedy beast, that was Dragon’s one weakness that was harder to control. A beast true to his nature, he rarely showed any desire for any exchange, for he believed that communications are only possible for beings of the same level.

And he saw none who were on his level in the seas currently. "So struggle, let me enjoy this harvest you have brought me." Dragon got ready, his body started to exude a dangerous aura that even made Amir who was down below and unable to hear a thing tremble.

’What a terrible thing.’

The testing on the Vercano isles was not possible, but that was not a priority anyways. ’So that’s him.’ Amir spoke, looking at the beastly humanoid covered in scales and then at the young man hanging like a bag on the side.

A face as innocent as it can be, the youth and kindness flowed out of that face like a river. It was hard to believe that this very same man was capable of so much evil that Amir had witnessed in Rudrain not so long ago.

’I have to either end him or capture him." Amir also understood that the best thing to accomplish was to capture this man. Which might give him an edge against Duke Wortham who might have his own plans in motions that he is not aware of.

The kind of hatred for the Royals that the Duke has cultivated can’t be shaken off so easily. So if Amir specifically his grandfather had a valuable bargaining chip, he might earn himself and his family some time.

So capturing took priority, and if that’s not possible his end would suffice.

Because no matter what, this man is capable of too much evil, and letting him roam free in his world was just harming the innocents.

Though, such thoughts of Amir’s were dashed to pieces the moment Dragon’s aura flared up. Dropping to his knees along with the rest of the crew members, he struggled to keep his head looking up. ’Do something.’ He spoke with some frustration toward Dearma, who just stood there, showing no response to such an attack, and kept staring at Dragon without an ounce of arrogance he used to have.

"Fight... there is no meaning for me to struggle. I lost last time, and in such limited time, it’s far harder for me to grow in strength, so I would like to refuse Mister Dragon’s suggestion and would happily give you my arms in return for you calming down." Drearma took a calm approach this time.

The arms that he had loved so dearly can be recast again, although they will lack the precious materials as his current one, he can live just fine with normal arms as long as they are functional.

"You, you are running the fun for me... I just had a delicious meal and wanted some exercise. Hah... if this is the case, I will just kill you for ruining my mood." Spoke Dragon, readying his arm and going full force to annihilate Dearma in one fell swoop.

There was no need to play with this man, no reason to fight him and digest some of the dear meat in his stomach. He will end him while saving the shiny limbs, just like he will kill all those humans below, saving a few like the one with Royal blood.

The rest can go to hell, or so Dragon might have thought.

And of course, at this very moment, when he had made up his mind to annihilate Dearma at full force.

Dearma, facing death didn’t seem panicked in the slightest. ’Oh, you fell for it.’

The Countless arms that materialized around Dearma’s body, intended to rip him apart into pieces suddenly turned to dust as Dearma’s metal arms touched them. "Huh?"

It was a speed that only Dearma and Dragon could respond to.

Dearma after shattering the arms suddenly turned into a lightening, appearing directly beside Dragon like a blur. And stabbed Dragon with his arm.

"You..." And Dragon, finally feeling a threat to his life, suddenly let Amir’s body go from his arm and put up his arm to guard his body. "Boom." It was a strong explosion, causing the lightning to dance in the sky.

Along with some drops of golden blood, that flowed out of Dragon’s arm. "Those arms... are too good." And instead of feeling pain or horror at his defenses being broken, Dragon suddenly laughed like a madman. "This is what I was waiting for... a proper fight after my awakening," he shouted, resuming the war from before, once again.

Looking at Amir’s falling body, along with the success of Dearma’s attack, Amir got up after the suppressive effect of the Dragon’s aura had died down.

"Get ready for capture."

It wouldn’t be a lie to say that Amir did not have his doubts. Dearma acted too casually before, and considering his loss not so early, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he died in the hands of his opponent.

But Amir chose to believe in the constraints that had been placed on Dearma, along with the special additions to the arms that his Grandfather helped provide for his prosthetics.

As for what they were? Amir didn’t know for sure completely, but he understood that it might be something that directly countered the enemy’s strength, just like how it was in the world.

Knowledge is power and with Dragon exposing most of his capabilities in Rudrain, the 2nd time they battle, things won’t be so simple.

This can be proven by the battle in the sky that shook the heavens and made the seas treacherous.

But this was enough. "Sailors, go into the safety cells, the rest follow suit," Hemant ordered from the side while helping one of the Sailors who had lost consciousness up and pushing him towards others. "The ensuing battle will be dangerous, make sure everyone is secure."

Thunder danced in the sky, but that didn’t matter much to Amir, who got struck two times, burning his flesh and making him cough smoke as some parts of his organs were cooked. But he still held onto the pain while falling down.

Flying, was easy for someone in his realm, but his mind had long abandoned that plan the moment his eyes fell on the boat.

Something told him to kill the man on the boat, an innate desire or a Knight instinct? Amir didn’t know.

But what he did know was that he needed to kill that man to survive. And considering the Knights in odd armors walked out to the deck, the enemy might think the same. "There is no peace, and I must kill."

He opened his mouth, causing more smoke and black blood to flow out before some fresh blood also escaped his mouth and turned into small mosquitoes. "Find sustenance." Was the order, sending the mosquitoes not toward the Knights, but toward the island not too far away. A scene that escaped Amir’s eye under such intense lightening and storm.
