Chapter 543: 8.13.2 Come under me.

The core ability of a Curse user was a sacrifice, an exchange of services, will, and souls. They can give part of themselves to attain greater strength, and this sacrificial exchange was never limited to Curse users alone. There were Mystics capable of similar feats and even Knights, who could burn through their blood to achieve similar results.

But no matter who it was, no one can compare it to the mastery of sacrifice regarding curse users.

Curse of Isolation is one of the most dangerous and potent curses in existence, and few are aware of its existence due to its strength and functions. So the knowledge about it had been lost in history, and only beings like Jester are aware of its existence.

Even such a potent curse is feeble in front of a powerful Radiant "beast" like Remira.

But that’s where the Sacrifice played the part.

Knowing he was going to suffer at Remira’s hand, Rosso played some of his cards. He sacrificed his arm to implant a potent version of the Curse of Isolation in Remira’s sword-wielding arm.

He gave up his arm to take her arm away, albeit temporarily. Which was enough for Rosso to create distance in the ensuing confusion. However that was not all he did. ’Master had warned me... she is chosen unlike the artificial me. Her strength far exceeds my own.’ If Rosso’s strength focused on dealing with a huge amount of low-level individuals at once, then Remira’s focus was more on exceeding her own level to fight monsters above her grade in single combat.

It would be complete murder if Rosso were to fight her directly, the best chance for him remained to hide and chip away at Remira’s strength. But that’s the issue, he didn’t have the luxury to do it with a Legendary eying him from the side, while Remira was on his tail.

This is why Rosso chose a different approach, looking above, he knew that he had to meet with his target a tad bit earlier. As for Sheva who had attacked him? He can get the answers later, for now, survival is his priority.

So as Rosso backed off, his body turned into a blur as he aimed toward the sky, toward the faint shield propped up by the Legendary being. But with him being in Grandmaster grade himself and the shield being too wide and hence somewhat weakened, Rosso easily broke through it while Remira after recollecting herself and the fact that her arm was virtually useless, in a beast-like vigor, used the very air as a platform to dash like a jumping beast.

With one of her arms dangling, she used her other arm to wield her sword with equal finesse. Aiming it at Rosso’s body, though with the momentum that Rosso had gained and the sudden change in the scenario, Remira’s aim was somewhat off, as Farhad dodged the icicles that came to him with some effort.

Even with one arm and the injury that he sustained prior, There was no lack of vitality in Rosso, instead, he felt freer than ever.

"Not so fast boy." Then the legendary in the distance made her move again, seeing Rosso dart toward the sky, she didn’t know what he was planning, but knowing how humans were, she understood that in desperation, humans were capable of all kinds of evil, so no matter what, she can’t let him succeed.

And it was in this blindness that she forced her domain upon Rosso, intending to cut him off directly.

But it was already too late. "Who dares?"

Suffocating coercion turned Rosso’s face pale, but instead of fear, he was happy. ’As I expected.’ In his eye of insight, he can see that something other than the Domain of a Legendary covered the sky. Unseen by most besides Rosso, who had noticed this oddity since a while ago.

Its range, is not as big as a Domain, that’s for sure, but its functions? Now that is something to wonder about. A time that Rosso didn’t have.

So he played a gamble.

"Another one dares to mock me?" The sound came again, though not directed toward Rosso or Remira, both of whom had long lost their step and were falling to the ground. But toward the Legendary that dared to mess with "Him".

"Foolish woman, this is my fight, don’t cause problems." Came another voice, filled with hatred as he directed its anger toward the Legendary being whose sole job was protecting the district.

A tone that the Legendary Mage didn’t like one bit. "Dearma, you have turned arrogant since the last time we met." Spoke to the woman, and though frustrated, she didn’t dare to ignore the warnings and appeared in the open. Her eyes darted between Dearma who was covered in injuries, as well as the figure called "Dragon" who looked at her as if looking at a feast.

"Ahah, such a beauty, did you step in my shadow to have my attention?" Dragon asked, intelligence blooming in his eyes.

It would seem with time, more and more of his consciousness has recovered, much to Dearma’s dismay. It was no wonder that even if he found a way to stop Dragon from stealing away his lightning using the magnetic aspect of his lightning, he still started to suffer the more he fought this monster whose strength didn’t seem to possess any real ceiling. "Speak your name." Dragon on the other side ordered this woman, whose looks suited his taste.

A look that offended the Legendary Mage, who scoffed for a bit. "The Fallen Star Amari."

"Amari, a wonderful name..." Dragon spoke, looking toward the enemy he had exchanged blows before. "You too, your name?"

"I have told you before... hah, it’s Dearma." There was no title spoken this time, he had long abandoned the name Thunderbird since long ago when he originally killed his family.

"You both, are given the chance to come under me," Dragon spoke with a loud laugh. Before he looked toward the fallen Rosso who was making his escape while Remira still mustered up the courage to get up.

Rosso also had the eye of melancholy, he could fight off the coercion to some level and hence had been able to maintain some of his bodily functions, unlike Remira.

Which in turn earned some interest in Dragon’s yellow eyes that saw more than just the surface. "And I want you." He spoke, pointing his draconic finger toward Rosso, who stopped in the air as multiple arms made out of Aura grabbed him and dragged him toward Dragon.

Much to Dearma’s confusion, who had met Rosso before. When Amari, saw this her face turned for the worse.

This man who called himself Dragon, was strong, she had felt this before, but his strength far surpassed her own and the most she could do was escape from his clutches. As for fighting? No chance at all.

So she bid her time, now exposed the most she could do was hope that Dearma that bastard might help her.

As for others? Their chances of coming were nil.

As long as this monster doesn’t harm the central, they won’t move an inch. Including that other monster whose horror exceeds all in Amari’s mind, Wortham.

Even while being here, he didn’t make a move at all, he just watched on the sidelines waiting for things to happen.

An odd habit that he had developed only recently, as she remembers how Wortham used to be.

However, what frustrated her further was the little ant that she had tried to kill a couple of times. How is he still fine? The Dragons’ coercion from before had forced her out of her hiding hole. So how is this Grand Knight fine after it?

"You, you will come with me as well," Dragon spoke with a loud laugh, which broke apart the cloud that covered the district.

"Dragon, is it? Our battle hasn’t ended yet, the winner hasn’t been decided. So don’t think you can force me under yourself." Dearma on the other hand completely ignored the ’Suggestion’ made by Dragon, he directly told Dragon what he thought and how he won’t go under anyone ever again.

He had been humiliated one time, but history won’t repeat itself.

And of course, such an answer, Dragon didn’t like it much. But he didn’t get angry, his mind, clearer than ever, spoke in simpler words. "Then you can die." With those words, the four draconic arms appeared right next to Dearma’s body. Before he could react and escape using his domain teleportation, the arms grabbed Dearma’s legs and then ripped them off while Dearma escaped with his torso alone. "Ah, I should have gone for the shoulders, he didn’t have hands to begin with." Dragon laughed, and enjoyed the scene as well as the dangling legs that his Aura arms had caught, before turning his head toward Amari. "What say you woman? What do you choose?"

The scene was before had scared Amari, she had seen the absurd strength of this monster and the means he possessed in the battle earlier. But at least before, Dearma could fight back to some extent, but this time, there was no chance for him to do a thing. If not for this monster showing some pity at the last moment, Dearma would have lost his head instead of his legs.

And yes, it was definitely mercy on Dragon’s end, he enjoyed the battle earlier, so he let Dearma escape with ’Light injuries.’

"I, I will serve you with all my heart." She spoke bowing her head toward Dearma. Who watched her do it and then said. "I don’t like it when they don’t fight back... you are annoying." And with those words, an Aura Arm stabbed Amari in the chest and then crushed her heart.
