Chapter 427: 7.10.4 Disrespectful.

Either a total fool or ignorant of the state of things. The girl named Jehera, who appeared younger than her counterparts seemed to hold some interest in the Mage Armor that Commander Faust built in the military, and as Amir conversed more with this girl, the more he came to understand how much of a fan this girl was of Commander.

But Amir was not the kind to point such things out, as from what he expected and the faces of the two other mages, this younger one might get reprimanded for her action in front of a Prince when she returns to her tower. As for now, Amir had a good time conversing with the bunch, displaying his social skills that might be rusted due to the focused life he led. But with time, he started to laugh and even appeared approachable to the neutral nobles who held some curiosity about Amir, but stayed away due to the rumors that were going around at the border.

’A cold prince that doesn’t interact with others at all.’ Not to mention, Amir was the kind of Prince who had no entourage with himself, nor a single Knight serving him when he arrived here. Which meant only one thing. He was not one of the good princes and probably had some problems that were being hidden by throwing him into Sector 32.

As for what they witness how? It was different from their expectation, so they chose to make some small talk at the gathering.

And it was during this time, that the last and most important member of the gathering arrived.

Lucius, followed by his men, walked with the gait of a Warlord, and from the aura he exuded, he attracted everyone’s attention at once, including Amir’s. Who finally met the annoyance that Ludwig had spoken about.

"Ho brother, you are finally here." Ludwig on the other hand was not so much annoyed by his appearance, instead, he put up a bright smile as he greeted his brother, who laughed out loud while taking a wine from the waiter and greeting his brother back with. "The heroes always come at last."

On the surface, it would appear that the two had an amicable relationship with each other. But the truth was known to all here, so after his arrival, the people who had started to show some goodwill to Amir suddenly turned their heads away in fear of being noticed by Lucius.

As for Ludwig? These people never bothered with him to begin with, as if caught with Amir, they might still have an explanation, while with Ludwig, they would be considered traitors in the eyes of the beast like Lucius.

"Is this cousin Amir?" After his greeting with Ludwig, Lucius turned his head and appeared a bit surprised over Amir’s build.

From what he had heard from his men, Amir was a researcher, a nerd who knew nothing of the world. But what about this?

Although hidden inside his clothes, for those following the path of Knighthood properly, it was easy to notice that Amir was far from a nerd. Such muscles might be appreciated by mortals, but for Knights, muscles were not always a sign of strength, instead, it was a sign of foolishness when a Knight trained his body more than he might have trained his blood or other skills.

Not to mention, most Knights automatically obtain a powerful body as long as they walk the path of their blood. When added to the fact that Amir worked in Sector 32, it can be easily seen that he had not practiced his bloodline properly.

Or so he believed.

A common misconception anyone in his position would have considered the bloodline of Bloodcrows was a summoning type, so the boost provided to their physique was never high enough. Which was even more of a confirmation that this cousin of Lucius might be a dunce when it comes to strength.

It was no wonder he had no Knight following him at all. A lonesome fool too distracted from the things that actually matter. Only a fool like him can fall for the honey words of Ludwig and join him even before understanding the state of things.

"You must be Cousin Lucius, It’s a pleasure to meet you." Unaware that he had been underestimated, Amir forwarded his hand for a handshake, but Lucius didn’t accept the simple goodwill and just said. "Pleasantries can be done later, I still have a business for later on, so excuse me." There was no worthwhile exchange between the two. And from ignoring Amir’s handshake, he had made his position clear to the surrounding nobles.

So from now if they still chose to approach Amir, they would face Lucius’ wrath.

But that was only the case with other fellow nobles, for the mages, didn’t care what Prince Lucius wanted. All they saw was clown fighting among themselves, which they held no interest in whatsoever.

While Amir, hearing Lucius’ words smiled. ’A fool that can’t hide his emotions completely.’ The little greeting he had with Ludwig contained no value at all, followed by complete disregard for Amir’s existence as he refused to shake his hand was enough to tell Amir what kind of person this was.

"Does this business have anything to do with how you are going to suppress your dear brother and cousin?" Amir asked out loud, without shame and lacking any hint of political Literacy.

He spoke words that even Ludwig wouldn’t dare to say in the public setting.

"Is he a fool?" Someone thought, looking at Amir as if they were looking at the dead man.

"Is this what you consider Prince Lucius to be?" One of Lucius’ follower’s questions, lacking any hint of respect for Amir. But Amir didn’t mind it one bit, he just smiled. Showing that their gazes and ridicule held no power over him whatsoever.

"Lucius, he is still new to this and probably made a slip, just overlook this matter." Ludwig on the other side came to Amir’s rescue, appearing a bit distraught over Amir’s words and worried over what kind of hot potato he had put in his group.

Of course, all of it was an act on Ludwig’s part as well.

From what he had come to learn of Amir. He is anything but reckless. Not to mention, others in this whole venue might be ignorant, but Ludwig knew that Amir was the most valuable individual in this whole venue.

He was the only one who had the backing of a Grand General behind him, and if others were made aware of this fact, they might just kick Lucius down themselves. But Amir was never the kind to use the influence that he carried to overpower others. He was a cold calculating fella who did things are many considerations.

So his words this time might say for a reason and not out of reckless abandonment due to a slight from Lucius.

Of course, in such an act Ludwig was treated as an older brother coming to defend his ignorant little brother. So the mockery for Amir in the eyes of the nobles deepened further.

"There are few things I can overlook. But disrespect is not one of them." Lucius spoke to his brother, treating Amir like air once again.

This was an opportunity in his eyes, he could use this to further degrade and humiliate Ludwig and maybe, just maybe use this as an excuse to take over the businesses that Ludwig had propped up to support himself.

As for the fool that made those accusations?

What of him?

In his eyes, a no-name Prince like him held no value besides being a pawn in his game and this time, this no-name cousin of his had done a great deal of work for him.

Of course, such thoughts came to a stop the moment Amir said. "And I am also someone who struggles to handle disrespect, even if it’s from the same blood as me." At those words, the aura of Amir’s started to rise.

From mortal to Apprentice, from apprentice to an adept. And when everyone thought that his aura would reach its ceiling, he soon strengthened his aura and walked past the level of Adepts and entered the ranks of Master level knights.

Shrouding down the whispers that were mocking him to nothing.

But Amir hasn’t stopped speaking yet. He just looked at the surprised face of his cousin and spoke. "But Considering that both of us disrespected each other, how about having some competition a simple one where the loser would have to apologize to the winner? If you can’t, you can send in your associates in your place, because face it. Not all of us are built for warfare." Amir spoke while eyeing the slender muscles on Lucius’ arm. Almost mocking him for his weakness.

Causing his head to turn red with anger.

’This bastard.’ He cursed.

But more than cursing Amir, he cursed his men who couldn’t even ascertain Amir’s level through the months he had been here.

’Master level Knight.’ He can feel a level of suppression that only those who carry the Bloodcrow bloodline can feel at this moment. A suppression that showed that Amir’s bloodline was at a higher level of quality than his own. Which just made his anger deeper.

’This fucking nobody.’

"I will make you eat your words."

On the other side, who knew when a figure had entered the event venue while being curious about why the atmosphere was so quiet at that moment?

Of course, the moment he sensed the existence of the aura that caused everyone to go silent, the man rushed ahead and then dropped to his knees while shouting. "Knight Hemant is reporting for duty, my lord."
