Chapter 342 - 6.01.3 Amir

Chapter 342: 6.01.3 Amir

"You influenced her to make such a decision?"

"I won’t dare to do such a thing, my dear Empress. It’s true that she came up with such a dangerous idea, herself."

There was little communication between me and Orvillia, as neither of us liked each other’s company. But when push comes to shove and if the topic at question is too important, then I use a small pet I sent Orvillia, as my eyes and ears, as well as mouth in her case.

And today was such an important topic that I had to speak to her about it.

"Your earlier suggestion of going undercover among the enemy ranks. That’s the cause for her overblown confidence." She said, without batting an eye toward me, as if I was not even there. "But I won’t deny, it’s a good Idea, which is a proof of her pedigree. But doing it all herself is probably from her father’s side."

Selene was not so blind, knowing the legacy she carries on her shoulder, she had tried her best to be the best leader she could be, much better than her father in every aspect possible.

Unlike many women of her age as well as background, she was not a flower in the garden. She has achieved so much that one can’t fathom. So her mind worked at a different frequency than the rest.

It was why she was able to come up with an absurd plan.

"We take her out, I will take her out and act as a sympathizer. Before exposing my identity as Number Two that was lost in Durum that day. She ought to feel responsible for me and then feel dependency on me, considering she would be a runaway fugitive with no way home. And when time comes, I could help her out of the city, before disappearing again."

"And why so much work just to help her escape, wouldn’t it be better to leave it to their own men?" When I had asked that question, she just smiled at that time. And didn’t speak.

But I knew what was going on in her mind at that point.

And It’s why I came to her mother.

"It’s what Chiluseus has claimed before, it would seem the grip of Cynark over Radiant Order was never loosened. There are still some sympathizers who haven’t forgotten their country."

"And if my sources are correct and the understanding of Knight’s faction is correct, then its probably the Progressives who might have forwarded this idea in the first place. So we can actually pinpoint who among them is still working for Cynark."

"There is no need to touch them, no need to disturb a hornet’s nest so early on. Just focus on the current issue, which is the future leader of this country."

"You are asking me to take care of her... them I am to assume, you are agreeing to her request?"

"Yes, for now. But make sure that nothing happens to her."

"As you wish my beautiful Empress. I would ensure my Niece’s security." With a proud laugh, I left the room.

Her choice was understandable from a certain perspective. She was not the kind of woman that would allow her daughter to be mediocre, and throws all sorts of obstacles towards her daughter, all in an attempt to help her grow into a better leader, and I agree with her on this front.

But, where I differ is how one needs to face such obstacles.

’I can’t appear anymore, I can’t be on her side after all that has happened.’

Selene has to go on this quest without me, but definitely not alone.

"Considering the things Farhad had leaned while being on the side of Vegal, it would be appropriate to release him now. It would be a good way to judge his growth."

Though, this growth was not the one in strength I was speaking about. But more on the personality side.

’Just hope, he doesn’t use himself as a bargaining chip anymore.’ I hoped for a better future for my oldest friend, and then went back to reading such interesting articles about a man who was cheated a total of 99 times throughout his life and at a time.

Amir Rehan was a bright boy since he was born. Knowing the struggles his parents had to go through so that he can study in a prestigious institution, he did his best during theory classes. Always at the front of his class and the smartest of the bunch when it came to engineering. But as he was always ahead of others in theory, he was mocked by the noble students with prestigious bloodlines, even bullied by some who did that out of their frustration of being beaten by a commoner like Amir.

But nothing affected him, knowing his position, endured all kinds of humiliation and abuse at the hands of his fellow students, while never abandoning his studies. Which was really the correct choice.

At the age of 18, he was the first to develop his own steam engine, which earned him a job directly in the military industrial complex and his first job posting was in none other than Luthanza’s Automobile Development Facility, a state sticking to the West of Wortham Principality with no Duke heading the state. Instead, it was considered a state directly under the military forces of Cynark. And for that purpose, boasted the greatest defense on all of Brihma Continent.

Making Amir’s future safe and secure, compared to many of his noble classmates with powerful bloodline, whose fate was directly on the battlefield, piloting vehicles that he would end up developing in the future.

It’s why he was prideful of his position, sometimes even looking down on the soldiers that have once looked down on him.

A sign of his immaturity and insecurity.

In his mind, he was better than them without a bloodline. So one must wonder what would happen if he was able to buy a powerful bloodline when he was rich enough?

And this is what he could have done in the future, if not for the small booklet he found on his bed.

"..."

This was Planc Governmental Colony which was established right next to the ADF base. And for worker safety, the security of the colony was no less than the ADF base itself.

So what was this book in front of him?

’A thief?’ He thought, searching around his house and checking if there is something missing. But he found nothing.

"Just a book?" Why would a thief leave a book in his room and not take anything?

Why would someone take such a chance, just to leave a book for him?

If it was a common man facing such a situation, the most normal response would be to inform the authorities in fear of curses.

While if this person happens to be knowledgeable about occult, then this book can be considered even more dangerous, who knows if there are some forbidden text hidden in it?

Knowledge not meant for mortal minds is one of the most common causes of disasters in this world.

But this was Amir. A boy who just focused on his studies so much that he had little to no common sense at all.

So the first thing that came to his mind after confirming that nothing was missing in his home was "Nothing wrong with just reading?"

He went ahead and picked up the book with no name. And flipping to the first page, he saw some weird text.

"If you can enter adept by the age of thirty, a new world will be open for you." Weird words, almost cult like front a certain perspective.

A perspective that was alien to Amir, who had always dreamed of power. He just read those words and with an almost hard to hide enthusiasm, he turned the page over and found a list of herbs and compound needed for a potion, followed by some training methods later on.

"Is this what they call a bloodline training manual?" And after confirming that this was the case, he turned silent. "Why give such a manual to someone who doesn’t even possess any blood?"

Frustrated and even somewhat angered, he threw the booklet away.

But as the book fell down, a small piece of paper also fell down along with the book, which surprised Amir for a bit, before he stepped forward and read what turned out to be a letter.

"Amir, this is your real father. Due to certain reasons, I had to put you up for adoption..." As he read the first sentence, he thought this was a lie, a prank even. But as he read deeper to the part how he truly had a bloodline of his own since the start, his surprise turned into a bright smile.

"I knew it... I am meant to reach greater heights."

In the letter his father had said that due to an old enemy of the family, he had to go into hiding, and he couldn’t carry a baby of his age after his mother’s death, along with him. It’s why he was given away for adoption, while his father hid from the enemies.

"Meaning, my father was in this room before. He also kept an eye on me since the start."

Although his father didn’t speak the name of his bloodline in fear that Amir might just trace his origins through it, he still gave away most of the inheritance knowledge on the book.

"Don’t worry father, this I won’t disappoint you."

Were Amir’s words ten years ago. Now at the age of 35 and being a Master level powerhouse of Cynark empire, Amir couldn’t help but sigh at his younger self.

"I hate this family." He said, looking out from his manor. The manor of Cynark Royalty. The manor of Amir Bloodcrow.
