Chapter 341: 6.01.2 What is going on in your mind?

The teacher’s title was Flower Mage Aliya, a beautiful woman who existed on an elevated level when compared to Vinnie that was still new to the world of magic. Beautiful to the extreme, and whether it was due to her study of what many considered the life energy, her figure also exuded a mature charm that was rare to see among Mages.

Making her a beloved figure among the students, specifically the male students who fell head over heels for her.

And unlike Vinnie, who actually desired knowledge and strength, this woman was complacent due to her position. This was her peak. A high level apprentice mage who generally focused on teaching youngsters on the path of magic.

So when a woman like her made such a remark, I couldn’t help but sigh at my fate. ’I should have done something heinous to the woman gender specifically, that’s the only explanation why I end up being hated by most of them.’

Although I consider myself a man who believes in equality, I just couldn’t help but have such a thought.

"No need to worry Crow, I will return it to you tomorrow." And Vinnie finding me in a tough spot whispered to me while she took the book. Yes, I am not the kind to create a scene. Nor was I playing a buffoon who needed to keep a stupid act.

For now, it was time to study and not play around.

As for this simple bullying, it was nothing more than part of life. And saying a few words to Flower Mage Aliya, and under the mocking gazes of some of Vinnie’s followers, I left the scene.

"It’s good that you know your place."

With that last remark, I left the scene.

But it didn’t mean that my mind also left the library.

No, in general scene the words and the potential for magnetic forces I learned about from the notes were interesting enough. So the theory I read kept playing in my mind. Making me think of attractive and repulsive properties of metals and how to turn a normal metal into a magnet through proper use of electricity.

I went in deeper in my thoughts, ’Among the different weapons and tools build for the warfare, one issue still remain... how to neutralize our enemies on the other side without much bloodshed.’

’First is plagues and diseases, it’s the most lethal one. But if used in war, I would put a target on Yethel’s back.’ The current plague in the east of Wortham principality was a mystery to many. No organization came forward and claimed themselves to be the perpetrator, nor the dark churches of some old gods called it the will of their gods.

None of the likes happen, so Cynark had no target to pursue, nor would it earn the ire of the Church of Plague. Which unlike their name, focused on saving lives the most.

It was one of the church that existed all throughout the continent of Brihma, and the same was true on other continents as well.

Holding influence over 34% of hospitals in the world and with over 60% of doctors being a direct believer of the church, it was easy to see how much strength it held over the continent.

In the past, there had been a case where they punished an old Noble family of Cynark by barring them from receiving any treatment, over their offense of spreading the plague in the first place.

Though I won’t go too deep into the story, but the end result of that was the death of over 60% members of the Noble family, and in the coming decades, that family slowly disappeared from history.

So no matter what happens, I won’t dare to directly use the plagues. I won’t ever use them if they can be traced back to me.

So they were not possible to be used.

Leaving me with not many options if I don’t wish to see much bloodshed on my side.

’But the magnetic resonance of metals... most mortal weapons and tools are with metal.’

Although I lost the book, it doesn’t mean the idea in my head has disappeared as well. Now all I had to do is order some guys in the Research and Development department to research this new avenue and try to create weapons which the mortal army can use.

’Guess, this has been a fruitful day.’ Its been so long since I could just study new materials in peace, and as regular days go for me, this can be considered among the most normal.

And it would have been this way, if not for a figure sitting in my room, reading the research notes I have written.

"You would have made a great mage if not for your accursed fate." She spoke, giving me a deep look, as if imprinting my figure in her mind. "Still can’t believe you would pick a dwarf for your body."

"Oh, Empress, you are here." The one that stood in front of me was the current shadow ruler of this small country, Orvillia Radville Yethel, mother of Selene Radville Yethel and the Archmage who heads the Tower of Storms in Yethel.

"This should be the first time I saw you in that form... you really look innocent in the body of that boy."

"The boy would have grown up to be a mindless killer with the way things were going, me using him for good can be considered a good thing."

"I don’t intend to play words with you, I came here for a specific matter."

"... you mean the little known fact of Radiant Order’s expulsion of Remira from their organizations?"

"They’re learning from Cynark’s handbook. Although we were able to settle that matter at the end. This puts us at an impasse with Radiant Order."

"And you are here to make me deal with this problem?" This woman, she seemed to have picked up some bad habits from me. "But before that, I wonder why a figure of your stature would choose to speak about it to me directly, and not send a messenger or even call for me through the rat I had left in your study."

"And besides, considering I had obtained a report on the matter before sending it to Orvillia, it can be ascertained, that you just only read the report and are unaware of my input into it."

At my question, she looked at me deeply. Before her body soon changed and turned into a face I was very much familiar with.

"Uncle, since when did you know it was me?"

"Since the moment I saw your face. And there are not many who know of my true identity."

"So there was no problem with my disguise?"

"Correct, it was flawless. But you still lack the talent to properly emulate how your target would actually react. So although this new magic of yours can be considered a good thing for pranks, unless you practice your acting, it would never be a viable tool in your hand."

"Great words to shatter my hopes of joining your Church."

"Your mother would kill me even if you did join my ’Church’" The church in question is the Church of Jester. A church in name only, whose real function was to cause confusion and make others think we are a religious organization, instead of an organization directly under a country like Yethel.

After she was exposed, she lost her energy to keep on the act and just asked how my life in the academy was.

And knowing her personality, I just spoke some words along with the new interesting knowledge I obtained from this institution. But while I was speaking of such words. I couldn’t help but ask her.

"By the way Selene, you should be aware that I hadn’t forgotten the earlier question you asked while acting like your mother... if I were to answer you my ideas at that point. What do you intend to do with it."

It was not hard to notice what happened. She found the report and then came to me for an answer. By why is she interested int his topic?

"Didn’t uncle said that we can’t kill her due to her identity as the Chosen?"

"Yes, we would not only anger the Radiant Knights, but even their god, the First Knight. So it’s better to not touch her for now."

"Then with them banishing her from organization in name only. They have obtained their freedom, and they won’t have to answer for the crimes of their member."

"Yes, and if they are truly playing Cynark’s card, then they would follow suit like them as well. But instead of killing her, they would try to break her free from the imprisonment."

"That’s what mother thought as well, and now a Grandmaster level Knight is sitting above Remira’s cell." Security measures taken to prevent her from escaping. And as Remira is no longer part of Radiant Knights, we can’t ask them for compensation anymore.

Truly a problematic dilemma we are in. Whoever played this card from the Knight’s side, doesn’t act like a nominal Radiant Knight.

He is closer to a dirty politician like the ones from Cynark.

"I am aware of it, I just gave my predictions to your mother, how she handles the matter is up to her."

"But isn’t that just delaying the inevitable, while forcing one of our powerhouses to act as a jailer? It’s not proper use of our country’s resources." As she spoke, I opened my eyes wide, waiting for her to continue.

"Speak your mind girl, Gangu is not here, so no one to snitch you out to your mother."
