Chapter 222: 4.04.1 Go wild.
Finding the Doctor in this maze was hard, made worse by the constant enemies that would appear from time to time, trying to hold her down. And in front of it, their numbers kept increasing, becoming stronger and sharper as time went on.
It was as if an old machine was coming to life, getting better with time as it heats up. The Daugrs wear faster and their strike carries stronger force, capable of ripping flesh from bones easily.
This was Remira at her peak without the need to utilize any blood awakening. She was capable of slaying each Daugrs that came to her and from the looks of it, she was closing in on the bastards, that Doctor.
But before she can finally find their hidden base, a gunshot is heard, startling her.
’Farhad?’ She wondered, before shaking her head. There was someone on her back, probably as a distraction so that she wouldn’t get closer to their base. As for Farhad?
She wasn’t sure if this was him being shot or some Daugr. Because for one, Farhad had suffered from something really dangerous and unpredictable, it’s hard for one to heal from it using normal means, it would be more apt to say that there is virtually no way to fix the damage caused to the brain without using any divine influence. Even that brings in some corruption.
And even if Farhad was to recover somehow and face opponents, he could endure a gunshot. Or so was her belief as she maintained her pace.
That was before she heard a few more gunshots, causing her to stop in her tracks and then turn around and rush back to the place where she left Farhad.
"Such baggage." She cursed before hoping that nothing bad would have happened to Farhad.
.Though by the time she got there, something odd was happening.
The screams of a man were followed by the cursing of a woman who seemed to shoot a few more bullets.
"What is going on?"

The plan was ruined, the scavenger Richard, who was proud of his abilities never thought that Farhad was this dangerous.
His arrogance cost him a lot, it cost him his right leg which he was forced to cut as the bizarre fire that lit up from Farhad’s body devoured it in an instant.
"Change to blessed rounds, this one is dangerous," Richard suggested while retreating as he limped.
No matter the amount of research they have come across concerning the undead born out of curses, they will never be able to fathom the unholy concoction that was Farhad. The flames that Gehena ignored earlier, treating them as simple flames were much more special. And Farhad barely had any control over it.
It was closer to a defense mechanism, one that would devour the flesh of those close to it without any discrimination.
Which is what caused Richard such loss.
"No, we run from here...this is dangerous." With those words, Gehena chose to escape with Richard in tow.
But she didn’t forget to break the wall a bit, releasing the Daugrs who awakened the moment they sensed Remira’s arrival.
’It works.’ She ensured, before making her escape.
This plan was ruined, Farhad was a lot more dangerous and volatile than she ever expected.
And mind you, she was a Master level existence, just like Richard. But both of them were taken out by one foolish mistake.
’He might be a lot more special than he looks.’ She thought, recalling the flames, the flames that didn’t actually burn as she had mistaken the first time, but they devoured the flesh and healed Farhad. A bizarre ability that was unlike anything she had ever seen. And for some reason, this flame held a holy nature.
A nigh impossible thing considering Farhad was a creature of the curse.
"They escaped?" Remira looked at Farhad’s flaming body, before moving to chop his head once again. She already knows what is going to happen and she needs to stop him.
But before she did so, she noticed the bullet casings along with the smell of the two individuals that escaped just now.
In truth, if the two had tried to carry on their plan, they would have suffered a lot in Remira’s hands as it is virtually impossible for them to hide from her nose. So leaving with just a leg and a piece of flesh can be considered good for them.
As for Farhad, who seemed to be going berserk?
Remira planned to put an end to it before her sword came to a halt.
"Those Daugr.. " There were too many of them and she knew that with those two running away, the Doctor would probably choose to leave this place and escape. She can’t deal with Farhad or these monsters.
Leaving her a single choice.
Kicking Farhad’s limbs toward his struggling body. She rushed from there and moved toward the direction she had already explored. Leaving the words, "Go Wild!" in her wake.
There is no need to deal with Farhad, he was strong enough to keep those Daugrs at bay and when the enemies on her end are dealt with, she will come to him and cut his head off, just like before.
Or so was her plan.
******
By the time I was awake again, I could feel my limbs close by, moving like an animal, I dragged them to me and devoured them one by one, there was no need to repair them, it was impossible anyway, my legs were already regenerating for some reason, it would seem I had eaten something recently.
What a wonderful feeling it was. But that was not the most important part.
’Go wild, huh?’ These were the words in my head when I had only opened my eyes. All I remember was the blazing white figure that pained me. It was obviously Captain.
"YES, I Will." I am going to make them pay. They shot me so many times and in so many places. I need to return their kindness at least twofold. It’s what I have learned from my family.
And besides, they will probably hit me from the dark again, I won’t believe their lies again, and I won’t fall for them again. They are probably hidden here.
Standing on my stump-like legs that were slowly growing, while swiping away the sweet smell of the flesh of my own legs along with bones. I looked toward the direction I think they would have escaped to.
And to my surprise, there were already some weird bastards coming my way. Undead like me, their eyes glowing blue with magic. So bizarre constructs, while also holding a curse that looked delicious to me.
"You will be the appetizer."
******
"Never expected to see such a gem here." The Doctor’s eyes lit up with a smile, as he watched the scenes in the mausoleum clearly. He never expected Farhad to be this special and from the looks of it, if nothing was done.
As for his two men? Gehena and Richard had faced bigger threats and by the time this little monster ended his feast, they would have come to him by then and ready to face Remira.
"Dinesh, I feel something dangerous. What are you doing?" A woman entered the Doctor’s office and asked after sizing him up and his drunken smile.
"The last member of Drischalss came, she is as dangerous as I have heard of her. If not more so."
When Dinesh said those words, the eyes of the woman twisted in anger. "You made her walk through the Mausoleum? Even after my warnings?"
"I did as I was told, but she was a bit untrusting of my intentions, one might even blame her companion."
"What companion?" The Professor asked before Dinesh put forward his, which the woman gladly accepted.
"It might be a bit chaotic, at first." As Dinesh said those words, the bulb next to Farhad lit up. Its illumination was so little that it was almost negligible to most. And it was through this that he had been keeping an eye on Remira as well as Farhad.
"Wonderful, isn’t it?" Dinesh said as the smile on his face kept getting brighter and brother. "His fire devours flesh, he is immune to emotion manipulation of Gehena and most of the curses that are present in the mausoleum."
"Professor, even his regeneration is pervy enough that I haven’t even seen in all my papers."
"But the weirdest part about him... I recall that his soul was cursed under the Taboo of the 3rd floor, and he lost his mind... but for some reason, he was able to get up and have a conversation with Gehena. Although it did appear that he lost some of his memory."
He kept going without a pause, letting the ugly face of the Professor go unnoticed.
The more she heard, the more she understood.
"He... so this was the boy that thing was after." The professor said, looking at the little monster that fought with Daugrs on equal footing.
No, it would be more appropriate to call it a one-sided beating he was experiencing, which in truth had no impact on the little monster, as it kept using its fire to devour the flesh of the Daugrs.
’There is no denying it’ The Professor’s eyes turned dark before he ordered. "End the farce, bring Remira here, and keep that little monster away, take him out if possible, don’t let him consume anymore."
"What?... But Professor, we need to make sure she is ready to face the truth. If not through contract, we need to ensure she is strong enough."
"There is no need for my daughter to prove anything, can’t you hear it? She is close by, don’t waste anymore time."
