Chapter 128: 2: Epilogue 3

The eyes that he had never seen were so clear today, eyes that lacked the superiority and hate that he thought his sister always looked at him with.

No, there was only worry which he found a bit odd at first. But his emotion soon turned into disgust targeted at himself.

As his bodyguards opened the door, Farhad got out of it and finally faced his sister. "I am home." He said, before being slapped in the face.

A slap followed by a hug. "We were so scared." She said, crying with worry.

"I... I am sorry about our father."

Unaware of the world that had been changing around him all this time, Jester just remained still in the coffin. Gangu, the butler of the Yethel family drove the steam-powered wagon through the streets of Bothal, the capital city of Pulgasari Country.

"How is it? How does it compare to the previous one?" He asked from the coffin, but Gangu didn’t speak much, With the speed at which the wagon was moving, he didn’t wish to be noticed and considered crazy here.

Not to mention, in this city of dwarfs, there sat a total of two Legendaries. One is the current protector and the other is something ancient that was worshiped by the dwarfs throughout its existence.

Existences that were not present even in the city of Durum. Making this whole city filled with countless monsters that stay in line in fear of attracting the attention of those powerful beings.

"Hmm, it seems like the population is higher than before. Meaning more food."

"Sir Jester, please don’t speak for now. I fear we might be noticed by some unwanted elements." The old butler said while looking around in fear. But to Jester, there was nothing to worry about. "No unwanted elements are interested in this rotting corpse and an old wagon that you drive now."

"Because you should not forget where you are. You are in the city of inventors, the people here won’t even bother to look at the wagon you are driving. So be free, enjoy the lights."

Hearing those words and comparing some other cars or wagons that moved beside him, Gangu started to feel somewhat calm.

This was Bothal, the land of Dwarfs who were well-known blacksmiths and miners during the old days. But now, they were something greater and much worshiped.

They were inventors and owners of some of the biggest conglomerates and companies that have spread their legs deep into many parts of the world.

A race that was once looked down upon for its subservience to dragons and being only good for lower work like mining now held sway over many countries in the world. And rarely would any country try to get on their bad side.

Which included the Cynark Kingdom, who would never dare to encroach on the lands of Dwarfs or even think of ever acting out in the streets of Bothal.

Making this a perfect place to hide while feasting on dreams for Jester. But that was not the real reason he was here.

"We are here." Gangu came and took out the coffin where Thalia’s body, which Jester had been possessing, was kept.

Before a man approached him, a man with long ears and sharp teeth, looked almost like a corpse himself, but Gangu was not surprised. "I booked a place under that mound."

"Papers first and I would like to check the corpse beforehand."

"It’s... it took a while to find her, are you sure?"

"Don’t worry, my nose hasn’t worked for the last 30 years. Now, open it."

With those words, Gangu struggled a bit, putting a handkerchief on his nose and then opening the coffin. Exposing the rotten corpse of a young woman in it. "The rites have been done and her body was sprinkled with holy water, as it was in no state of being washed..."

Gangu explained, before giving him the papers which finalized the identity of the girl and then the certificate from the church of Autumn, which provided the purification services.

"She was 18?"

"Yes, though it’s harder to tell now."

"No other family?... I can see a name here?"

"Her father disappeared, probably why ’they’ caught her. Our community was distraught when it happened, and you already know what happened after it."

"I did hear, they had rescued a lot of women. Sad that this young girl couldn’t be saved on time." The Cemetery groundskeeper might stay at his job site most of the time, but he was not ignorant of the recent events. This included when a certain money lending company went a bit overboard in their attempt to squeeze profits from their debtors and suffered the consequences for it.

It was why he showed some remorse, which was rare for someone in his job. "You can close it. If you want, you can be present during the burial."

"Of course, this is the least I can do for her. Please lead the way, I will carry her coffin."

Gangu spoke in a tired voice, slowly closing the coffin lid and then using the handle on the coffin to drag it into the cemetery, where two other workers came in a hurry and helped Gangu lift up the coffin so that it wouldn’t harm the cemetery grass.

However, these details were kept in their heart. To them, it might just be work, but to their clients, it is always a devastating experience, so they kept their mouths shut and helped Ganggu lift it.

"This seems a bit small?"

"Not enough space nowadays, and the ancients have only told us to bury the body and in what way, they never said it. So don’t worry, her soul will be in peace."

"If you say so."

Then, Jester was dropped down in the cemetery. Which also signified a new beginning for him.

And he already has someone in his mind for all of that.

A man, a particular one had disappeared from the world.

It was a year later, in one of the most famous hotels that only catered to dwarfs, a cry resounded in the room and the beer spilled to the ground.

"Wha.. who?" Asked the dwarf while holding his bleeding eye as he looked with horror at the man who stood in the middle of the table where the Dwarf was having a little talk with his friends.

The very friends, who now remain on the floor, gurgling with blood.

A blade had sliced their neck, going through their dense beards and then striking the stumpy neck that was barely visible. But the intruder has expertly cut them, making them unable to ever speak a word.

While the last one, who escaped, panicked and cried for help.

"No one will come, isn’t this why you frequent this hotel so much?" The man wore the mask of a pig, he slowly walked closer to the only remaining dwarf and sat in front of him. Making the dwarf piss his pants in fear.

"You... let me go... I .. I will pay you however much you want."

"..."

"If it’s not money, then is it revenge? Isn’t revenge the thing your kind of man wants?"

"I.. I will go to the authorities, I will confess to everything I have done... "

"Sure. I got what I wanted anyways."

With those words, the body of the pig mask man disappeared. Leaving the dwarf in shock and covered in the blood of his friends for a long.

He didn’t move, though. He stayed there, in fear of the assailant coming back and completing whatever job he was given.

Something that will never happen. For the man had truly left the scene.Leaving the dwarf alone.

Or so it would seem. But leaving the hotel, the man took out the blood and hair that were on his knife and then silently placed them all in a small vial.

"I don’t intend to give you a kind and easy death."

When he said those words, a playful voice echoed in his ears. "I worried that you might just end up killing him. And it would have been so boring that way. Glad that you listened to me."

"... Remember, three names for you and one name for me. So keep on with it."

"Ho, don’t be in so much hurry, there are still two to go before I give you the name."

"Though, something interesting came up. Why don’t you go there and see?"

"Don’t waste my time, I have already wasted enough time playing your games."

"For one, don’t be so harsh and all the games I choose are pretty fun."

"On a second note, the thing I am talking about might interest you."

"..."

"Just lead."

A new arc and a new hero. I have chosen him specifically for this reason. And yes, you might know his reason for the revenge he is seeking. But, I can assure you, that what’s in store for him as well as this city is much wilder than you can ever imagine.

A bizarre new story with even more bizarre characters. So keep tuning in to my stories.
