The Ger's Contract Marriage [BL] -
Chapter 554: So Loud!
Chapter 554: So Loud!
Yes, this was sweet, sleep was sweet.
Xu Feng knew he was asleep, but his mind was still wandering, on its own accord. The pressing thoughts that had nagged him—like his children’s safety, how he would raise them, and of course his husbands’ returns—weren’t the top candidates in this space.
Instead, his mind had picked a peculiar topic to land on; Lee Hua. Well, his brother Xu Zeng actually, but also Lee Hua, the one and only midwife in their home... and also possibly a nanny—no, a governess sounded more regal, more fitting of the Nanshan Estate.
Even as the loving arms of the sandman clutched him in this state of slumber, fits of giggling escaped Xu Feng’s lips sporadically.
Being on his home turf seemed to put him in a more carefree mode. This carefree mode was naked for anyone who peeped into the "Madam" or Master of Nanshan Estate’s personal bedroom.
"Hehehe" Xu Feng’s arms flailed slowly from side to side before clutching at the light blanket draped over himself. In a moment, the blanket was flung away, and the mad giggles began erupting once again.
"Ahahaha," The silver hair of the ger was still bound but had loosened a bit in his not-so-demure sleeping state.
A ger who had been so cold and unapproachable recently, finally melted. The reds and pinks of his mole and lips played against his skin and his hair. Beside him, the four tiny ones were much more honest sleepers.
Xu Feng had been worried about their sleeping habits, but he was the one flailing around at the corner of the king-sized bed. At least there was enough distance that his "special" sleeping posture wouldn’t affect them.
Xu Feng’s dreams were more like sleep musings. Before he’d disappeared three months ago, he’d done much thinking, one of his most visited thoughts had been about his brother Xu Zeng and settling him somehow—after he was brought back from the zombie plane.
He had mentioned Xu Zeng to Bai Mo a few times—casually of course. The Bai family of Yilin was a thin camel, but it was still a camel nonetheless. He was assured of his brother being a door-to-door husband who would be cherished by Bai Mo.
Of course, nothing would be forced. There could only be a marriage if the two found themselves agreeable.
Now, from what he’d heard from Lee Hua—the apology—the midwife turned governess, was interested in their Xu Zeng. If both parties were agreeable, he wouldn’t even need to marry his brother out! Lee Hua could marry into the family.
For Xu Zeng, it may be looked down upon to marry a widow with two children—as a first marriage or first wife. But luckily, Xu Feng was mostly a modern man... er, dragon... he had no qualms about this.
If the two were agreeable, he would give his blessing! And there would be two more children in the Xu family registry. The first thing Xu Feng would do would be to add Lee An and Lee Mo to his family registry!
He should also add his cubs...
But then again, there was Min. The big hulking man and Lee Hua’s interactions were okay-ish that morning, but Xu Feng’s spidey senses were tingling. Something felt sus... super suspicious.
Xu Feng’s dreams were basically a bunch of conspiracy theories and ships being shipped by him and him alone. There were also many babies flying across his mind, his and his soon-to-be nephew and niece.
It was all giggle-worthy indeed!
"Hehehe—" His uncontrollable giggles erupted once again before being cut short.
"WHY CAN’T I?!" The booming voice had Xu Feng springing up into a rigid sitting posture first before his eyes even shot open and he was fully ripped out of his fantastical dreams.
What the hell was that noise? Xu Feng quickly turned to see the four tiny people still sleeping on the bed. They each had a blanket of their own and were tucked in, and had hardly moved.
The sun outside had shifted, but he couldn’t quite tell time by the sun, so it was anyone’s guess what time it actually was. Anyone’s guess was better than his best efforts.
Just as Xu Feng was beginning to believe it had all been a figment of his imagination, another loud noise left Xu Feng’s head throbbing dully. "TRY AND STOP ME IF YOU DARE!!!"
It was Xu Zeng’s voice, unmistakably so. But it wasn’t the nice sweet calm voice he knew. This voice was domineering, cold, and dripping with malice—not quite killing intent, but close.
The strangest thing though was that the voice seemed to be in his head. The children hadn’t stirred even a milli fraction of a centimeter.
... Was he going crazy?
Xu Feng almost didn’t want to know the answer to that question. Was there a reliable psychiatrist he could visit who would make house calls to their home?
Just as Xu Feng tried to lighten his mood with a joke—not a very funny one, admittedly—the voice, no, the presence that came with the voice seemed to be moving toward him. No, it was moving toward Blooming Courtyard.
In a matter of breaths, the loud yelling that had happened at the main gate of Nanshan Estate had moved closer to his location. He could feel the presence vividly.
Was this a dream? How did he know Xu Zeng was at the gate?
Well, it was previously at the main gate, to be exact. The other silver-haired dragon was now at the gate of Blooming Courtyard. He was moving too fast, maybe running? That was still some pretty fast running.
Xu Feng couldn’t help but be proud of his little brother. This was why he was so fearsome in the zombie apocalypse. His brother was so exemplary in physical strength and brain power!
"WHO DARED ENTER MY BROTHER’S ROOM?" The anger in Xu Zeng’s voice was palpable. "The Garden Snake and the Dragon aren’t even back yet!"
Thankfully it wasn’t as loud as the ruckus he threw at the main gate of the estate. Still, this time the noise wasn’t just in his head. Xu Feng quickly glanced over at the children once again, only to see Lee An rubbing Lee Mo’s back as he’d stirred a bit.
The two made eye contact before she smiled and lay her head back drifting back to sleep as quickly as she’d been roused from it.
But of course, the noise maker wasn’t satisfied.
"I SHALL—" Xu Zeng started as he made his way into the room, but Xu Feng was up and to him quicker than he knew he could move. Of course, he’d forgotten his indoor shoes, but that was a problem for later.
He quickly slapped his little brother’s mouth with no restraint at all, before shooting daggers at the loudmouth who was quite a bit taller than him.
It was strange staring into his own doppelgänger’s face. But at the very least the face had stopped spewing nonsense!
Xu Feng always thought his brother was a quiet genius, but today he learned, the other dragon was a loudmouth who also seemed to be very protective of him.
The two stared at each other for a moment before Xu Feng gestured to the bed. Then, he saw something else he wasn’t expecting to see—a dumb look.
His smart, loud-mouthed brother looked particularly stupid at the moment.
