Chapter 548: Small Grandpas

"Small Grandpas..." Xu Si muttered to herself and giggled as she worked "Hehehe!"

Xu San and Lee Hua didn’t comment on Xu Feng’s choice of words, nor did anyone reprimand Xu Si for delighting in this clever(?) little joke. Instead, everyone had small smiles on their own faces.

This was an overwhelming amount of smiles considering how empty this room—Xu Feng’s room—had been in the last few months. If walls could speak, they would tell him all they’d heard; the sad, sadder, and saddest.

If anything, there were no ’small grandpas’ here, there was only a ’big grandpa.’ Xu Feng had been the one soaking in the tub for the longest, and his prune-like looking fingers were the proof of that.

Pruny fingers and all, Xu Feng attempted to dress in a familiar but strangely unfamiliar set of blue robes. It was one of his older pairs of robes before he had a baby belly... Just like he thought, the muscle memory was there, but his fingers were clumsier than he remembered.

Luckily for him, Xu Si had taken pity on him as Lee Hua attempted to dress the boys in the clothing Xu Feng directed him to in the baby bag.

It wasn’t until his robe was fully on, and Si began styling his slightly damp hair in a simple style, that Xu Feng realized Lee Hua and Xu San were having trouble. Modern clothing was hard for the other worlders.

Should he laugh or feel pity for the two children? Xu Feng wasn’t sure.

They were both clothed, but... it wasn’t quite right.

"Let me help." Xu Feng offered as Xu Si finished with his hair.

As he leaned down to undress and redress Da Long who was lying uncomfortably on Xu Feng’s beloved extra large king-sized bed, the waft of ’baby smell’ hit him in the nose. It wasn’t something Xu Feng hadn’t smelt before.

He’d held the two boys close to him for that long walk, and he cradled them against his body for a long time after he’d found them in the space. Even so, the brand spanking new ’baby smell’ was still so fresh and sweet!

Lee Hua and Xu San had lathered a good amount of the baby lotion he’d packed on the two cubs, adding to the good aroma in the air. The smell was nice but the look wasn’t right at all.

Even under the clumsily placed onesies, their diapers were also... wrong-looking.

"We can all learn together!" Xu Feng was in a better mood for no apparent reason. Lee Hua, Xu San, and Xu Si were all on different levels in terms of their childcare experience. He was pretty much a newbie in any era or world, but at the very least he could lead in this task.

"I have some diapers we can wash, but these ones are disposable and should be fastened like this. No knot is needed." He patiently showed the spectators how to put on the diaper with his confidence building.

"Ah." Xu San was clearly intrigued.

"But the size seems tight for the first young master." Lee Hua seemed to ask more than stated.

He was right, Da Long did seem tight in his diaper. Xiao Long was also tight in his diaper but not as much... but maybe that was why they had the poop accident earlier...

"We’ll have to use a bigger size in the future." Xu Feng rounded things up. He didn’t want to be wasteful, but if it cut down on accidents, it was probably for the best.

With the diaper secured, he then put the onesie back on Da Long, and in a few moments, the oldest cub was now a handsome little chick. The yellow of the down that had been used for the onesies was soft to the touch.

With a layer of inner clothing underneath ensured the outfit was warm and cute!

Turning over, Lee Hua had been working as he studied Xu Feng’s movements. Xiao Long’s diaper had been righted from the state of wrong. In addition to the diaper, the second cub was now a handsome little duckling.

His onesie was just as furry as his brother’s. The biggest difference was in their onesies’ beaks or bills. Da Long’s was small and sharp looking—but not actually pointed—and Xiao Long’s was longer and rounded.

The details of the onesies were adorable. With everyone fully dressed, the others could finally tell the animals their young masters’ now resembled. It wasn’t just a strange costume Xu Feng had dug up from who knows where. The outfits were unusual, but so cute!

Xiao Long quickly repositioned himself on the bed so he could see his brother more clearly. He could sit up in the bathtub without much help needed, but rolling around was his forte!

He had a look of mischief in his eye, but just as Xu Feng narrowed his own eyes, Xiao Long’s eyes grew wide with awe! His face clearly seemed to say, ’What happened to my brother!’ Xu Feng interpreted this as, ’What happened to my punching bag!’

It could be the same thing right? Different dialects and all...

From eggs to babies to clothed babies, Xiao Long had taken all of these forms in stride, but this round yellow fluffy ball in front of him was too strange... This was clearly Da Long, but he couldn’t seem to understand why his brother looked so... yellow?

Da Long, on the other hand, was relaxed during his clothing change. He even spent some time with his dad. He smiled cutely when in his dad’s hands, and also smiled while Lee Hua changed him for the first time.

As soon as Xiao Long’s gaze fell on him, the happy baby calmed himself a bit. He looked toward his brother, ready for whatever would come next. It wasn’t dislike or even annoyance, Xiao Long had a lot of energy, but this was his brother who he’d always been with.

But the sight of a strange round fluffy creature caused his face to freeze. The two boys looked at each other with awe, and the adults surrounding them could only laugh. It was adorable.

If they left things to fate, they might stay in the warm moment longer, but Xu Feng’s obnoxiously loud stomach had been inherited.
