Chapter 305: The Second & Third Diagnoses

After the exhausting ordeal of the diagnosis, Xu Feng found himself succumbing to weariness as the old man was finally ushered out of the greenhouse. His eyelids grew heavy, and the tranquil ambiance of the greenhouse couldn’t keep him awake any longer. The familiar and comforting presence of Xuan Yang’s body seemed to beckon him into a deep slumber.

By the time the elderly doctor had left their residence, Xu Feng was fast asleep, nestled against Xuan Yang’s form. At first, his snores were light, almost delicate, but as he settled deeper into sleep, they grew into a deep rumbling, filling the room with their resonance.

If anyone asked, Xu Feng would call it a ’light snoring,’ but luckily no one was asking.

The morning sun had already made its appearance when Xu Feng stirred from his slumber. Blinking away the remnants of sleep, he found himself alone in the bed. Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang had already started their days, leaving him in the warmth of the shared bed.

It was a bit lonely, but comfortable enough.

But he wasn’t alone in the room. Standing rigidly at the door, with an air of nervousness about him, was Xu Hu Zhe. The sight of the young man’s presence in their bedroom was unusual, and it prompted a puzzled mumble from Xu Feng.

"This is new," he remarked, his voice still laced with sleep as he considered the unexpected visitor. For a moment, he entertained the thought that it might all be a dream. Yet, as he blinked and took in his surroundings again, Xu Hu Zhe remained in the room, manning his corner.

Intrigued and somewhat amused, Xu Feng decided to engage in some playful banter. "Are you on duty today?" he inquired, his tone light and teasing. The prospect of getting out of bed didn’t appeal to him at all, but he was curious about this unusual morning visit.

Xu Hu Zhe, however, nodded promptly in response. "Master Jian is worried about your safety, and Master Yang consented," He explained with a sense of duty.

Xu Feng couldn’t help but stare at him with a deadpan expression. While it was true that he possessed mystical and magical abilities...As a fox demon with powerful and unknown origins, this wasn’t taking things too far, but he hadn’t revealed his true ’origin story’ to Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang...yet. They hadn’t had the chance to have that conversation...yet...and the thought of bringing it up made him feel somehow embarrassed.

Instead, he chuckled softly and replied, "Well, it’s good to know they care, even if it’s a bit over the top." Despite the embarrassment, he couldn’t deny the warmth that spread through him at the thought of their concern. "Tell them I’ll be out soon."

With that, Xu Hu Zhe nodded, adding parting words before he left the room, "There is a doctor here to see you."

As Xu Hu Zhe left the room, Xu Feng allowed himself to linger lazily in bed, savoring the comfort of the sheets and the warmth that enveloped him. The brief interruption of a baby or two, hadn’t broken him of any bad habits, instead, they’d given him a new powerful excuse!

He almost wanted to go back to sleep...just for a few minutes, but he had a visitor waiting. Possibly another adult-knapped old man.

Soon enough, however, the calm of the moment was broken once more as Xu Si entered the room, her presence bringing him fully to consciousness.

Her inquisitive nature had her in the know of most situations in all of the Nanshan Estate. Following up on what Xu Hu Zhe had mentioned, she added some information about the unexpected visitors.

Yes, visitors

. Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang had adult-knapped two doctors! One. Two. Two men were sitting in separate reception rooms with their eyes still covered waiting for him to make an appearance.

Xu Feng was ready to get out of bed, and put the men out of their misery as quickly as possible. To his dismay, he discovered that there was no water prepared for his morning bath.

Apparently, it was considered too hazardous for him to bathe without the presence of either Xuan Jian or Xuan Yang. The very idea made him roll his eyes in exasperation. It seemed that his husbands’ protectiveness knew no bounds.

The next month was either going to be fun, or he would murder someone. Lovingly.

Nonetheless, the thought of the arrival of two doctors spurred Xu Feng into action. He couldn’t help but appreciate the valuable information provided by Xu Si’s nosy curiosity, and he had another reason to be thankful to her.

His gratitude extended even further as he noticed the new clothes that had been laid out for him. It was obvious that Xu Si must have worked tirelessly throughout the night or from the early morning hours to create two new sets of clothing that could accommodate his changing figure.

His old clothes still technically fit, as his personal style already leaned towards more relaxed and modern designs. However, the new robes tailored by Xu Si were a welcome addition to his wardrobe with even more space to maneuver with his belly.

The robes were straight cut, crafted from soft, high quality materials in light yet tasteful colors. One set featured a rose red main color, while the other had a navy blue base.

Both sets were designed with his comfort in mind, allowing for ample space to accommodate his growing belly. It was a thoughtful gesture that touched Xu Feng’s heart deeply.

Unable to resist, Xu Feng leaned down and planted a soft kiss on Xu Si’s head. The young girl blushed fiercely but also beamed with pride at her successful efforts. These two sets of clothing would likely be more than enough to last him even during confinement, a thought that now occupied his mind.

Could he possibly speed up his confinement in the Dong Ancestor’s space?

Xu Feng proceeded to prepare himself to meet the two doctors who awaited him. He had resolved to take this pregnancy one day at a time, keeping his worries at bay as best he could. However, he couldn’t help but notice that his husbands, Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang, did not share his sentiments.

Both were present for the second and third diagnoses, and their somber expressions revealed that they were not happy with the lack of good or new news. They were exactly in the same spot they had been the night before.
