Xu Feng was once again energized by dinner time, but it wasn’t too apparent who was the one being teased earlier. Was it him or Xuan Yang?

Taking a peek at the young master’s calm face, Xu Feng was certain he hadn’t actually teased the snake young master, but was actually indulged...annoying.

Xuan Yang seemed to take after Dong Yang, both were bullies, absolute bullies. Even as the thought crossed his mind, Xu Feng grinned widely. He was happy they had worked through their miscommunications earlier and were now more clear about their abilities and feelings.

He felt secure and loved, not like his husbands valued the baby more than him.

Throwing a baby into their mix would only cause chaos, but at the very least he trusted both Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang, and neither of them seemed upset about the baby despite the world’s danger.

The dining table was laden with a colorful assortment of dishes, each carefully prepared by Xu Si and Xu San, the two girls who had proven to be both clever and attentive. Despite their best efforts to cater to his newfound bump, Xu Feng couldn’t muster much of an appetite for the bland dishes set before him.

The food looked appetizing enough, a wide variety of dishes featuring fresh vegetables, aromatic herbs, and perfectly cooked meats. It was a meal that should have made most people’s mouth water, but Xu Feng’s thoughts kept drifting back to the forest and the tantalizing memory of the snake he’d eaten.

Even the pheasant was delicious. Memories of both delicacies he’d had in the forest were absolutely mouth watering!

*Gulp

Swallowing audibly, he leaned closer to Xu San who was still adding vegetable dishes to the table, and whispered "Save some boar meat."

The girl looked sheepishly at Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang who were both staring at her close proximity to their lover, before nodding. A request to save some wild boar for him was hard enough with Xuan Jian’s direct orders, now this...

Xu San was typically brave, but she wanted to grow wings and fly away in the moment.

For Xu Feng, the hunted meat was swirling around on his brain without an end in sight. The prospect of the boar sounded far more appealing than the dishes on the table.

His eyes flickered towards Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang, who pretended not to hear his request to Xu San.

The two men exchanged amused glances, aware of Xu Feng’s strange meat cravings. It seemed that their ger had developed an insatiable hunger for something specific, something not found on the dining table.

Didn’t pregnant women either have a taste for sour or sweet foods? Xu Feng wanted neither; his taste was for bloody meat that was fresh. Would he give birth to a girl or boy? The idea was much more interesting to him than the food.

"Maybe we should try the boar?" Xuan Jian relented, finally giving in to Xu Feng’s request. He had initially been hesitant, concerned that the boar’s energy might be too rich for a ger from a lower realm. But now, he considered it might be what Xu Feng needed.

The silver haired ger was strange, and even when Xuan Jian tried to feed him some of the milder meats on the table, he would only gag...

When Xu San returned with a plate of boar meat, freshly prepared and served, Xu Feng’s mouth practically watered at the sight. The delicious aroma wafted through the room, enticing his senses.

It wasn’t spicy enough, but with some sauce on top, he would make do!

"Hahah," Xuan Yang couldn’t help but chuckle at Xu Feng’s response. "Looks like someone is a slave to his stomach," he teased gently, amused by his lover’s sudden fixation on food...refixation? It was heartwarming to see Xu Feng’s appetite returning.

With only a quick look at Xuan Yang, Xu Feng wasted no time and began to take bites at the boar meat with relish. Xuan Jian stepped in, in order to portion the meat even smaller and mix it with smaller bites of other dishes to ensure a more balanced meal.

As dinner concluded, they moved to the greenhouse, where a customized bench had been added. It was the perfect place to unwind and relax after a meal, with lush greenery surrounding them. The soft glow of evening light filtered through the leaves, casting a warm and inviting ambiance in their secret sanctuary.

They settled on the bench, and Xu Feng reclined, his back against Xuan Yang’s chest while his legs rested on Xuan Jian’s lap. The gentle hum of the greenhouse’s enchantments filled the air, creating a serene atmosphere that was perfect for their evening cuddles.

Xu Feng was now more openly interested in his cuddles; he had the perfect excuse that couldn’t be questioned! Even if the ancients knew nothing about baby hormones, it was still his shield. A shield he could use to act on his desires!

As the three husbands basked in their quiet togetherness, the sound of shuffling footsteps reached their ears. A man, blindfolded and seemingly disoriented, was escorted into the space.

He trembled with uncertainty, his thoughts racing as he tried to piece together the situation he found himself in.

In his mind, he speculated about various scenarios: Was this a high class woman who had cheated on her husband? Perhaps she was an unwed mistress or a lover from a brothel? Or could she be a widowed woman living in a remote village?

The possibilities seemed endless, and his shaky demeanor revealed his inner turmoil. No matter what situation the woman was in, this wasn’t a situation he could take lightly.

Xu Feng couldn’t help but feel sympathy for the elderly man who appeared on the verge of passing out at any moment. The blindfold had deprived him of his sense of sight, leaving him utterly confused.

Finally, the man reached out to take Xu Feng’s pulse, his trembling hands attempting to find the rhythm beneath his fingertips. Xuan Jian, quick to protect Xu Feng’s identity, shushed the ger with a finger to his lips, ensuring he remained silent and anonymous.

The pulse taking process seemed to drag on for an eternity, and the old doctor made a series of perplexed expressions that made Xu Feng increasingly uncomfortable.
