Chapter 291: Snake for a Snake!

Chapter 291: Snake for a Snake!

Xu Feng stood once more in this strange, mesmerizing space, the landscape unchanged from his previous visit. The clearing stretched out before him, bathed in a surreal, ethereal glow, with a lush garden adorning the edges and a cave nestled within the mountainous backdrop.

The trees remained mysterious, with leaves that shimmered in a luminescent display, casting vibrant shades across the landscape. The ground beneath his feet still had that unique, soft yet firm texture, as if he walked on clouds that bore his weight effortlessly.

The atmosphere was charged with an underlying energy, an unseen force that pulsed through the air. Each breath he took seemed infused with vitality, invigorating him as he presented his gift to the specter in front of him.

As Xu Feng observed the owner of this space, the wild mixture of overgrown weeds and vibrant flowers, including the precious Dragon Chrysanthemums, he was no longer focused on the marvels around them.

For Xu Hu Zhe however, this was his first time in this space. The owner of the space was worth the shock filled stare, but the world that materialized around them was just as unbelievable.

The Dragon Chrysanthemum buds, even the lowest tier ones, exhibited a potency and quality that matched those he helped Xu Feng cultivate meticulously in his personal greenhouse.

Xu Hu Zhe might not know what the names or the significance the flowers and other plants in this space held, but he could guess. He’d been helping Xu Feng cultivate his greenhouse since it was first built, and knew what they grew weren’t normal plants.

The plants here were even more ’not normal,’ plus a ghost...A ghost that looked like Xuan Yang...

The bloody package Xu Feng offered openly was accepted!

Xu Feng extended his arms, a large dripping package was presented in front of him, seemingly too bulky for his hands to handle. With a graceful motion, the package lifted effortlessly from his grasp, hovering in the space between him and the spectral figure.

On one side stood the tall, silver haired man with a serene countenance, exuding an air of respect and composure as if he engaged in a heartfelt conversation with an old friend.

His face bore no trace of fear, only a deep sense of familiarity and gratitude.

On the other side stood (?) the spectral figure, a figure that bore an uncanny resemblance to Xuan Yang. This apparition had hair as dark as night, adorned with striking silver tips.

He exuded an aura of refinement and detachment, his demeanor reserved and composed. Yet, as his gaze locked onto the beautiful man standing before him, a transformation occurred.

The icy, austere aura that had initially enveloped the spectral figure began to thaw, replaced by a warm, welcoming presence.

He accepted the gift that Xu Feng presented with open arms, and a glimmer of happiness flickered within his countenance.

In that moment, the mysterious and distant figure, who bore the likeness of Xuan Yang, was transformed into something more tangible, more approachable. The connection between Xu Feng and this spectral being was obvious for anyone present to see, they shared some sort of appreciation and understanding.

...

As the spectral figure graciously accepted the gift presented by Xu Feng, a warm, shared moment seemed to envelop them. The atmosphere was laden with a sense of connection and mutual understanding, and even Xu Hu Zhe was drawn into the peculiar exchange between his master and the ghostly being.

However, just as the moment reached its zenith, Xu Feng, in his characteristic fashion, decided to shatter it. His laughter erupted, echoing through the ethereal realm as if it were the most hilarious of comedies.

"Hahahahahaah!"

"Heheheh!"

Laughter bubbled forth uncontrollably from Xu Feng’s lips, and he couldn’t help himself. His mirth was so infectious that tears welled up in his eyes, and he laughed so hard that he couldn’t maintain his footing.

He rolled on the ground, clutching his stomach, his sides throbbing, unable to contain the sheer absurdity of the situation.

"A snake eating snake!" He finally burst out between fits of laughter, his voice punctuated by bouts of unrestrained amusement. His laughter was so hysterical that it echoed through the mystical space, mingling with the ghostly presence of Dong Yang.

Xu Hu Zhe, on the other hand, was left utterly open mouthed, staring at his master in shock and disbelief. He couldn’t fathom how Xu Feng had transformed a solemn encounter with a ghostly being into a sidesplitting comedy.

The young giant was both startled and somewhat scared by his master’s antics. How could he play games with ghosts? Was Xu Feng that "special"?

Meanwhile, Dong Yang, the ghostly figure resembling Xuan Yang, wore a serene and adoring smile. His eyes twinkled with affection as he gazed upon the beautiful and mischievous ger before him, his heart warmed by the offering and the troublemaker’s antics.

He was clearly indulging such unconventional humor, but the ger was mesmerizing in this moment. He couldn’t bear to ruin the little one’s amusement.

The ethereal space resonated with Xu Feng’s infectious laughter, and it didn’t seem wrong. The space and the owner of the space seemed to welcome the silver haired loud troublemaker with open arms.

"Hah, hah, hah," Xu Feng’s breath slowed as he lay on the grass trying to bring himself under control. He had nearly peed himself with laughter, but the joke was worth it.

"Hehehe," A small trickle of laughter burst out at the end as he wiped away the tears in his eyes.

Xu Feng looked up at the seemingly undisturbed specter as it stood staring down at him with an unchanged face.

’Whatever, my joke was funny,’ Xu Feng thought as he took in the stoic look of the Xuan ancestor. The ghost could laugh at him when he ran away, but it couldn’t appreciate this masterful joke!

"Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle..." Xu Feng’s stomach protested unabashedly.

...

’If my stomach has no shame, why should I?’ Xu Feng continued to stare up at the specter as fruits materialized between them. ’At least the old monster was becoming a more generous host!’

"I’ll make you a yummy snake feast!" Xu Feng announced before adding another sentence, "You have to make sure Xu Hu Zhe and I won’t die from the snake’s poison."

A snake cultivator should be able to do that much, right?
