The room was shrouded in the dim morning light, barely enough to dispel the shadows that clung to the corners. It cast a faint, golden glow across the tiled floor, lending an air of tranquility to the bathroom.

The quietness of the early hour was only broken by the gentle sound of running water as Xu Hu Zhe meticulously filled the tub for his master’s morning bath.

In the hushed ambiance, he moved with practiced efficiency, his movements precise and methodical. His routine was well established, ensuring that every aspect of his master’s morning ritual was executed flawlessly.

Even in the subdued light, the room seemed to take on an ethereal quality, as if time itself had slowed to accommodate the solemnity of the morning preparations and rituals.

Today, however, was different. It was Xu Zeng, not Xu Feng, who had awakened early. And in his still-sleepy and curious state, he had wandered into the bathroom just as Xu Hu Zhe was about to finish fill the tub.

This was Xu Zeng’s first time in the Nanshan Estate. He’d left this body before the marriage to Xuan Yang and Xuan Jian. He had a bit of an idea of what was going on with Xu Feng in this world, but he had never lived a day in this world Xu Feng had built for himself.

The atmosphere in the room instantly grew awkward, as the two men stared at each other in surprise. Xu Hu Zhe stared at the early rising "Xu Feng," and Xu Feng stared at the stranger, Xu Hu Zhe—he wasn’t expecting to meet one of the strangers in Xu Feng’s life so early.

Xu Hu Zhe’s thoughts raced. ’Why was Xu Feng awake so early? Was he feeling unwell? Should he inform Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang?’ But before he could voice any of his concerns, Xu Zeng, in Xu Feng’s body, made a sudden and unexpected move.

Normally Xu Feng would wake up, and the bath would be filled, and he would have missed Xu Hu Zhe.

In a swift and somewhat clumsy but confident motion, Xu Zeng reached for the heavy bucket of water that Xu Hu Zhe was holding. Sounds nice and helpful right?

Nope.

The bucket of water was huge and full of water. Xu Hu Zhe was able to fill the tub quickly because he used huge buckets. Buckets he wouldn’t have been able to carry a few months earlier, but with his awakening bloodline and all the training he’d gone through over winter he was able to do now.

Still, the bucket was too heavy for him, and was a workout for Xu Hu Zhe.

For Xu Feng...no Xu Zeng, in the body of a ger, it was entirely too heavy. He may have been used to the stronger body in the modern world, and hadn’t realized this limitation would haunt him.

So, what happened? Xu Zeng tipped over.

Without warning, both of them tumbled forward, crashing into the half filled bathtub with a loud splash.

Water splattered in all directions, drenching both of them from head to toe. The room, once serene and orderly, had turned into a chaotic scene of soaked clothing and bath supplies.

Xu Hu Zhe’s face burned with embarrassment as he struggled to sit up in the now waterlogged bathroom, the tub had lost almost all of its water.

He couldn’t believe what had just happened. He had never expected Xu Feng to act so... impulsively and actively.

His master was usually more...relaxed when it came to hard labor...

"Master Feng!" Xu Hu Zhe exclaimed, his voice a mixture of surprise and concern. He reached out to help Xu Feng, not realizing that it was actually Xu Zeng inside his body. "Are you alright? What happened?"

Xu Zeng, on the other hand, was equally flustered by the unexpected turn of events. He had momentarily forgotten that he was in a different body, and the awkwardness of the situation dawned on him. He tried to regain his composure as he sputtered, "I’m... I’m fine. Just slipped, that’s all."

The room was in disarray, and the air was thick with embarrassment. Neither of them had expected their morning to start in such a peculiar way, and they were both unsure of how to proceed.

As Xu Feng and Xu Hu Zhe concluded their work of packing a portion of the spoils harvested from the massive snake, the conversation took an unexpected turn. Xu Hu Zhe, his face flushed and his head slightly lowered, couldn’t help but continue to rehash the rather embarrassing incident from the past.

The bathroom mishap involving Xu Zeng and himself. He recounted the entire episode, his voice hesitant as he mentioned the peculiar bathroom encounter.

Xu Feng, for his part, maintained a straight face and held back his laughter, finding the image being painted in his mind, amusing yet somewhat cringe inducing.

He couldn’t help but think how fortunate it was that neither Xuan Jian nor Xuan Yang had discovered the mix up...While it had been Xu Zeng playing house with his body at the time, he was aware that his husbands might not have appreciated the awkward and wet situation.

To make matters even more intriguing, Xu Hu Zhe went on to describe how "Xu Feng" had accompanied him throughout the day like a little tail!

They had worked together on various tasks around the estate, tending to farm animals, trimming the grain plots directly outside Nanshan Estate, and assisting with laborious chores...awkwardly.

For several hours, the two of them had been inseparable, their presence noticeable. However, a certain iceberg started tailing them, and three tails were too much.

With the addition of Xuan Jian, Xu Zeng had promptly dashed off to the greenhouse in Blooming Courtyard, deftly avoiding the rest of the estate with no apparent reason and refusing to talk to anyone else for more than a word or two.
