Chapter 265: Big Ger’s Don’t Cry
As Xu Feng lay in the warm embrace of Xuan Yang and residual warmth from Xuan Jian faded, he couldn’t help but feel a strange mix of emotions. Shame, embarrassment, and a lingering sense of vulnerability swirled within him.
He had just cried like a baby, sobbing uncontrollably until he could barely catch his breath. Even as a child, he had been known for his emotional restraint and the ability to control his feelings.
This sudden outburst shattered his own perceptions of who he was.
’I don’t know ger.’ Rang in his head on repeat.
In any other circumstance, he might have been mortified by his own lack of composure, but he couldn’t deny the reality of the past day and a half. The existence of a younger brother, Xu Zeng, was a revelation that shook him to his core.
He wanted to doubt it, to believe it was some cruel trick of fate, but deep down, he couldn’t escape the truth. He had a brother, and that knowledge unleashed a torrent of emotions he had never before experienced.
He had continued to cry, unashamed, as he was coaxed and comforted by the two men he had missed so much. Tears flowed freely, soaking their clothes, their embrace offering the warmth and security he desperately needed.
His cries were so intense that they brought on a bout of gagging, but even that didn’t deter him from the overwhelming wave of emotions that held him captive. He should have been relieved to be away from the putrid world he had just experienced, but instead, he found himself unable to let go of the emotions that had been stirred within him.
As he finally began to quiet down, his breath hitched sporadically, as if the weight of his feelings still lingered in his throat. Xuan Jian had disappeared momentarily, presumably to prepare a bath for him.
The two men had been making silent conversation that Xu Feng didn’t have the bandwidth to decipher before Jian’s departure. Whatever it was, he trusted both men as long as no medicine was involved.
As his eyes grew heavier, Xu Feng wondered if, in his exhaustion, he might get to see Xu Zeng again in his dreams. Or would he have to bid farewell to the comforting presence of Xuan Yang?
The too cool hands of Xuan Yang felt at the temperature of his forehead, and Xu Feng felt like he could melt into that hand with no regrets.
"I knew we should have taken you to Doctor Ping while we were in Yilin," Xuan Yang remarked lightly, though there was a hint of pain beneath the words.
Xu Feng, despite his emotional state, couldn’t help but retort, his voice laced with a touch of playful aggression, "I won’t vomit on you again, and we’ll pretend you didn’t say that."
Xuan Yang paused for a moment, before staring into Xu Feng’s eyes for a few heart beats, a small mischievous smile lifting the corner of his lips, "You dare?"
"This young mistress dares to do what he has done before."
Xu Feng, still nestled in the warm embrace of Xuan Yang, couldn’t help but feel his heart swell with affection. The emotions that had overtaken him earlier had left him feeling vulnerable, but the sight of his husband’s radiant smile, no matter how small, melted away his worries.
Xuan Yang was undeniably handsome, a young master he had captured with his love and charm. The raven hair was disheveled and a bit unkempt which was unusual for the young master, but it was doing something for Xu Feng.
He went from sexy scholar, to sexy scholar with a wild side!
Xu Feng wished he had the energy to pounce on this sexy scholar. From sad to horny...maybe not horny, but something on the way there...
His thoughts were far from concealed, and Xuan Yang, ever perceptive, easily picked up on every nuance. His smile grew wider as he leaned in to place tender kisses on Xu Feng’s burning hot eyelids, one after the other.
"Haaah," Xu Feng couldn’t help but snuggle deeper into his husband’s embrace as he exhaled, finding comfort and contentment in his arms. Who would have thought that their bonding topic would be centered around moments like these? But Xu Feng felt unbothered.
His shame had evaporated in the warmth of Xuan Yang’s affection. If Xuan Yang was willing to pamper him, then he was more than willing to be pampered.
In the blink of an eye, Xu Feng found himself in a clean, steaming bathtub, the remnants of his earlier disorder washed away. He was pleasantly surprised and couldn’t recall how he had left his room or Xuan Yang’s embrace. As he pondered the mystery, Xuan Jian’s voice rang out, assuring him that he was not alone.
"I’m right here," he comforted from behind.
Xu Feng looked up, his eyes still heavy with exhaustion, and confirmed that Xuan Jian was indeed present, sitting in the tub with him. Xuan Jian was like his bathing stool, keeping him upright in the bath.
It was a relief; Xu Feng was simply too fatigued to bathe alone.
"If Doctor Ping comes over tomorrow, I’m running away from home," Xu Feng declared in a half whisper, half serious tone. He knew he must look like a panda with his tired, half lidded eyes, but he wasn’t about to let anyone underestimate his fierceness.
Not husband one or husband two. No excuses and no bitter medicine.
To his surprise, a muffled "Puff" of laughter came from across the bathing room. He didn’t need to see who it was; he knew it was Xuan Yang. Despite his exhaustion, he maintained his playful spirit.
"I don’t have a ball, but I’ll still run!" Xu Feng quipped, his voice softening as he drifted back into a blissful slumber.
This left the two men, one soaking in the tub and the other sitting on a stool, exchanging amused and puzzled glances. What was a ball? And should they call Doctor Ping or not?
The answers could wait for another day.
