The Ger's Contract Marriage [BL] -
Chapter 243: Possibilities
Chapter 243: Possibilities
The carriage moved steadily through the streets of Yilin Town, the gentle swaying of the vehicle lulling Xu Feng into a state of relaxation and pushing the discomfort to the wayside.
He was cocooned in the protective embrace of Xuan Jian, his head resting on his husband’s chest as he basked in the warmth and love that surrounded him.
The fatigue that had weighed down on Xu Feng’s features didn’t go unnoticed by his attentive spouses. What had initially appeared as a playful pampering session had gradually revealed itself as a sign of genuine exhaustion.
His languid eyes and the slight furrow of his brows spoke volumes, and it was clear that he was not at his best.
The first stop was the courier station, where Xuan Yang entered to expedite before their return to the Nanshan estate. Inside the carriage, Xu Feng remained nestled in Xuan Jian’s arms, embodying the essence of indulgence and pampering.
His silver hair framed his face like a delicate halo, accentuating his beauty even in his weariness. His eyes, still bright despite his fatigue, gazed up at his remaining husband with a gentle affection that couldn’t be hidden.
Xuan Jian couldn’t help but be enchanted by the sight of his beloved husband. He admired Xu Feng’s majestic features, from his upright nose to his flushed cheeks.
Xuan Jian leaned down, unable to resist the allure of Xu Feng’s full, perfectly colored lips. Their kiss was a sweet and tender affirmation of their love, a soft connection that exceeded words.
Outside the carriage, the "children" — Xu Si, Xu San, and Xu Hu Zhe were seated so as not to intrude on the overly heart filled space. Xu Hu Zhe had elected himself to accompany Xuan Yang to the courier’s station.
Xu Hu Zhe was there to provide assistance while Bei had departed earlier to trail Bai Mo and deliver a message.
Back inside the carriage, Xu Feng’s drowsy voice echoed with a touch of intoxication as he murmured, "Beautiful..." He felt a peculiar warmth coursing through him, accompanied by a subtle chill that seemed to penetrate his bones. It left him with an unsettling sensation.
"So beautiful," Xuan Jian murmured, before leaning down to kiss at the full lips tempting him so doggedly once again.
As he leaned into Xuan Jian’s comforting embrace, Xu Feng couldn’t help but worry. Perhaps he had caught some illness? The previous night, he had experienced some vomiting—maybe it was more than just his over enthusiasm?
Even during breakfast, he had struggled to keep anything down. He dreaded the possibility of his two husbands realizing his condition and the inevitable visit from Doctor Pei.
Being sick in ancient times was not ideal. And the weather had just warmed up too...
He was dreading the bitter medicine the most.
Xuan Jian couldn’t help but feel a mixture of affection and worry for his silver haired beauty as he observed the changes in Xu Feng’s demeanor. It was clear that the public confrontation had taken a toll on him, and even though Xu Feng always appeared strong and intelligent, he was, at the core, still a delicate ger.
Xuan Jian realized that they needed to take better care of him, both physically and emotionally. He and Xuan Yang needed to take on more in this relationship.
The idea of Xu Feng pampering them with his food, and plants—know they knew there was much more to this—had always been adorable, but maybe he should use his abilities less?
When Xu Feng whispered his question, inquiring if there was anything else they needed to do in town, Xuan Jian paused for a moment. His mind raced through their plans and responsibilities, but he soon came to the conclusion that there was nothing that couldn’t wait.
Their main objective was to return home, discuss the matter of immortal bloodlines, and simply enjoy each other’s company.
With a gentle and loving kiss, Xuan Jian reassured Xu Feng that there was indeed nothing else they needed to attend to. He wanted Xu Feng to relax and rest, knowing that his husband deserved a break after the recent events.
"Good," Xu Feng brightened a bit before putting in his request, "Food..."
"Are you hungry?" Xuan Jian seemed to also realize the time.
Xu Feng’s request for food caught Xuan Jian by surprise, as he hadn’t considered the time. It was already noon, and Xu Feng had endured a challenging morning. He had only had a light meal, and it was only natural that he would be hungry.
"For the children." Xuan Jian’s face crumpled as he realized why this drowsy ger was speaking up. He wanted to feed his servants, no, his family. He wanted to make sure to the two girls and Xu Hu Zhe could have a treat while they were in town. This money spender liked to spend money on his people freely!
"Buns, and..." Xu Feng began rattling off foods to get Xu Si, Xu San, and Xu Hu Zhe. Even ticking off the list with his fingers, clearly enthralled in this. "Food for my husbands as well..."
Xu Feng finally remembered the two men, Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang. They needed to be fed too.
It was a clear indication of Xu Feng’s generosity and love for his family. Even in his moments of weariness, he thought of others and wanted to pamper them.
"Of course, Feng Feng," Xuan Jian replied with a tender smile. "We’ll make sure everyone has a delicious meal."
All the anger from the previous incident had melted away from Xuan Jian. He would deal with what needed to be dealt with in the future. For now, he was content with his little glutton of a fox. A loving glutton who liked to over pamper others.
As they continued their journey, making stops to pick up food and visit Doctor Pei’s medicine hall, Xu Feng decided to play possum to avoid the impending visit to the doctor. The mere thought of bitter medicine and a doctor’s examination was enough to make him want to play dead.
Xuan Yang, with a knowing smile, recognized Xu Feng’s ploy and went down to retrieve some energy boosting medicine for the spoilt ger. He couldn’t help but find Xu Feng’s antics endearing, even though he knew that it was likely a play.
