Chapter 196: Wild Boar! Pt. 2

In the middle of the chaotic forest scene, Xu Feng’s mind spun into a whimsical fantasy, envisioning their dangerous situation as if it were a dramatic television drama.
This would be the moment in a television drama where Bai Mo says "No, Feng Feng, don’t go, you’re, you’re.." and tears stream down his face that magically becomes as beautiful as an angel’s.
This was the heart wrenching confession scene with a high viewer rating.
In the over the top dramatic narrative, tears would stream down Bai Mo’s face as melodramatic music swelled in the background. The dark forest lighting would somehow become better than one in a television studio.
The forest’s natural lighting would suddenly become perfectly suited for this emotional revelation, casting them both in an ethereal, dreamy glow. And both he and Momo who had eaten like pigs a few hours ago would suddenly have sharp jawlines and no body fat, perfect for the big screen.
"’You’re my one true love, don’t go,’" another perfectly timed tear would dramatically drip down his face. The audience would go wild!!!
Momo’s ears would pop out at the right moment, making him look even more innocent and loveable to the rotten girls behind the television screen.
Bai Mo was the perfect bottom, a soft but sassy ger who was good at picking up bad habits. Xu Feng would make a good top or maybe a switch. His looks were perfectly suited to play both roles (not that looks should determine that, this is for cinematic purposes and clichés that Xu Feng is poking fun at).
His imagination ventured even further, conjuring a tragic yet passionate love story where they’d decide to perish together, a forbidden love doomed by fate.
’Death by boar...’
Xu Feng’s fantasy spun into an absurd, dramatic climax.

But reality intruded abruptly, snapping Xu Feng back from his absurd trance. An inner voice chastised him, ’This is not the time, Xu Feng!’ He shook his head, trying to focus on the urgency of their situation.
Regaining his bearings, Xu Feng shot Bai Mo a stern look, as if scolding himself for getting carried away. ’No forbidden love stories today,’ he chided internally, dismissing his wild thoughts to deal with their immediate and dangerous reality.
Out loud he said with conviction, "You. Leave. Now." There was no compromise in his voice, it was a command true and true. Bai Mo seemed to freeze as if a monster had come out and petrified him, something bigger and scarier than the wild boar.
Bai Mo had felt the pressure of those with immortal bloodline before. He shouldn’t have, but he had. His ’gifted’ relatives in the main Bai and Deng families weren’t kind people at all. Not to someone with no potential like him. Even so, the pressure he felt coming from Xu Feng was 100 times worse than anything he’d ever felt before.
Even though the power was strong and overwhelming, it wasn’t vicious. As angry as Xu Feng seemed, there was no real aggression and violence, it was just unrestrained power.
Bai Mo wasn’t the only one affected by the pressure. Even the boar stopped in its tracks. Its crazed frenzy disrupted for a moment.
The source of the pressure, seemed completely unaware of his aura.
Xu Feng was only focused on getting Bai Mo out of the situation unharmed. There was no way he would watch his friend hurt without doing anything. Not even by words...other than his of course.
"Now." Xu Feng roared once more as the pressure returned to normal.
Whatever strength he had tapped into seemed to fade away. Like the day following his wedding when he reclaimed the food from the main kitchen in Nanshan. But this time he was less conscious of slipping into this mode. The fear had him numb and moving in a panic.
Bai Mo looked at the silver haired ger whose eyes finally regained their normal color and nodded firmly. Something told him to listen, this person, this beast, this immortal, was telling him he would keep them safe, and Bai Mo believed him.
From the start, he had always trusted Xu Feng.
The two were clearly living in two different worlds, but the message was still understood by all those involved. Xu Feng was ready to act, nodding at the other fox before looking back to their common enemy.
The overgrown wild pig relative that had been attacking indiscriminately. Its blue black fur was disheveled, but oddly majestic. It had to weigh at least three times as much as Xu Feng, and was taller than his knee, closer to the root of his thighs.
As soon as a pair of sharp eyes hit the boar, the animal seemed to shake a bit. Instead of hunkering back after feeling the chaotic energy on Xu Feng’s body, it regained its own crazed energy.
A boar was a boar.
The boar roared and this time its target was Xu Feng, and Xu Feng alone. Not the soft and well fed ger on the stump.
"Get ready to run!" Xu Feng warned and gripped his knife with a skill that seemed to come from within.
Then he muttered to himself, "K barbeque would be nice if I knew how to make the marinade..." Without further chatter, as the boar barreled forward, Xu Feng moved away from the stump running further into the forest.
The boar seemed to be provoked by the domineering presence it felt. Instead of bowing to the stronger presence, it wanted to prove its dominance, and maybe claim the tender meat of the small fox.
Or it likely just liked to bully the weak, but didn’t know to back down against the strong either. Something gave it courage...
After moving a few feet into the forest, Xu Feng felt the boar catching up to him, the monster was fast, and the pink tusks were a bit creepier than they should’ve been.
Making a decisive decision, he turned around and jumped to the side simultaneously, hoping he wouldn’t fall over with the swift motion. It wasn’t a practiced one.
As soon as the charging boar was a foot away, Xu Feng plunged the knife into the boar’s left eye.
There was a split second where the boar seemed confused, and Xu Feng also seemed lost. It was then that he unconsciously pulled the blade back with all his strength.
It was a double blow for the boar... get it, "Wild Boar Pt.2"...
