His aura itself seemed different.

The once dull black to brown hair had transformed into a deep and healthy shade of black that was so dark and glossy that it looked nearly blue when you stared for too long. When compared to Xuan Yang’s glossy raven hair, the distinct coloring was more apparent.

Xuan Yang’s hair was dark like an unending night, like the darkness could swallow you whole enticing one into its depths. This quality become more pronounced over the last few months. Xu Feng’s nurturing was clearly beneficial to all three of the giants in his family.

For Erlang, the black was more illusory, where Xuan Yang gave one the feeling of overwhelming darkness, Erlang’s locks were mystical and spell bindingly charming.

The luster was matched by Xuan Yang’s hair only.

Other than the change in hair quality, Erlang’s over tanned, cracked, and overworked skin had plumped up as if invigorated with collagen, becoming healthier and more nourished.

His lips following suit, becoming a bright red color like berries framed by a sea of blue black, brown eyes becoming a strangely mesmerizing combination of brown and blue. His eyes had turned eerily piercing when gazed at for too long.

For Xu Feng, he was never uncomfortable under the gaze of those eyes, but for other servants besides Si and San, those eyes were the thing of nightmares. Especially for the unwise servants who chose to gossip about the three Master’s strange relationship!

To top it all off, Erlang had grown more than a few inches, he was around the same height as Xuan Yang when he’d first came to Nanshan estate, around 6’2," and it didn’t seem like he would stop growing anytime soon.

With all the training, his body had rapidly transformed to a middle ground, a combination of Xuan Yang’s lanky but lithe form and Xuan Jian’s slightly bulkier, toned and sturdy frame.

Luckily for the husbands of a certain ger, after their awkward protests and vinegar spreading, Xu Feng had agreed to feed them as well as Erlang. And despite being older, 19, they were still in periods of growth.

They didn’t just become more "shiny," both husbands had gained in purity of bloodline and height. Xuan Jian was now around 6’2," 6’2.5" on a good day, and Xuan Yang had sprouted up to 6’4." But Erlang was obviously still a bit lanky, the look of someone who had a few more inches left in him, Xu Feng was sure he would eventually overshoot Xuan Yang.

It wasn’t a competition though...maybe...

Xu Feng looked the boy...the man up and down. He had done good, and feed the child into a sturdy young man.

It was obvious Erlang had some immortal bloodline bubbling just below the surface. Erlang hadn’t reported any new animal characteristics like scales, animal ears, or anything like that, but Xu Feng was waiting for the news patiently.

Bai Mo was descended from two well known families of fox bloodline ancestry, so his bloodline awakening, while shocking, wasn’t heart attack inducing.

Erlang on the other hand was a complete mystery. A boy who had no family and no family history to retrace. When he did awaken his bloodline, would Erlang be shocked?

Even if the boy ended up being a rabbit demon beast descendant, Xu Feng would be happy for him. Rabbits should be cute though, not suave and intimidating.

The name Erlang didn’t seem to fit the noble aura in front of him. Erlang was obviously a name given without much thought or care. The young man didn’t even have a surname.

Xu Feng’s face brightened up even more as he analyzed the youth in front of him. The gaze would be normal to most, but to Erlang, his skin began to crawl. He knew his Master’s temperament well enough.

He wasn’t thinking something bad, but it wouldn’t be anything that would bode well for Erlang. Feeling no nonmalicious, but malicious thoughts from his Master, Erlang’s brows couldn’t help but twitch.

Xu Feng was most likely about to grant him some favor that would cause his master’s two husbands to target him more fiercely.

Erlang wanted to sigh out loud, but he kept his face as impassive as possible while Xu Feng dreamed up all the things.

Erlang wasn’t afraid, and he didn’t fault his Master for his favor. While it made Xuan Yang monitor him more closely than other servant, and Xuan Jian train him harder than the others who practiced martial arts, it didn’t cause him any real harm.

If anything, he had advanced in skill by leaps and bounds, in terms of marital arts, and his studies were progressing smoothly—Xuan Yang would overload him with extra study materials when Xu Feng wasn’t around...but he was learning.

In Erlang’s opinion, both things were good. He was becoming more and more worthy of being Xu Feng’s servant. His master was much more mysterious and powerful than he thought.

While he wasn’t a scholar, and he hadn’t read any profound books, Erlang was aware that Xu Feng’s greenhouse grew crops to quickly. Not only that, the special plants he took care of, were VERY special. He’d seen the special notebooks Xu Feng use to keep track of these plants, and their names in official books.

He wasn’t educated, but he understood how open Xu Feng was being with him. His master, Xu Feng, trusted him. Only He and the other two masters were allowed in the greenhouse.

Erlang had long decided he would continue to improve and live up to Xu Feng’s kindness. In the future, no one would bully his master with him around.

Seeing the determination in Erlang’s face, Xu Feng’s smile grew even bigger, his dimples making themselves known and available for viewing. The determined young man in front of him began to grow red.

Erlang’s face, which usually seemed passive, now appeared tinted with a vivid shade of red. The color seemed almost out of place on his usually withdrawn features, resembling the sudden bloom of a flower on the handsome face.

His crimson cheeks spoke volumes, revealing an unexpected vulnerability beneath his typical determined front. Every time he blushed, it lit Xu Feng up.
