The Ger's Contract Marriage [BL]
Chapter 128: Xuan Jian and Xu Feng

Chapter 128: Xuan Jian and Xu Feng

"Xuan Yang and I should have taken better care of you," Xuan Jian’s words echoed through the greenhouse. His eyes held a weight of guilt as he regarded Xu Feng.

The ger’s expression was a mix of confusion and frustration, his thoughts not aligning with the apology he had just received.

Xuan Jian’s lips curled into a small smile, understanding the ger’s disconcerted reaction. He clarified the cause for his concern, "You’re still healing from the poison your parents dispensed to you before they sent you to be sold."

A veil of silence settled between them, broken only by the soft rustling of air in the greenhouse. Xu Feng’s mind raced as he absorbed the implications of Xuan Jian’s words.

"Xuan Yang and I," Xuan Jian’s voice was tinged with regret, "should have protected you better, especially since we are no better than Lady Xuan for continuing this contract." He enunciated the words as though they were poison themselves.

"At the very least, we should allow your body to fully recover before we move forward."

But Xu Feng’s reply was swift and filled with conviction. "It’s not the same thing. At all." His voice held a resolute tone, refusing to accept the comparison.

He knew that Xuan Yang(officially) and Xuan Jian(unofficially) were bound by the same contract that had entangled him, held captive by the Xuan family’s schemes.

"I’m the homewrecker here," Xu Feng’s voice turned almost to a whisper, and his gaze lowered, his eyes dimming as he stared at the ground. "I don’t know what you two had to sacrifice for this contract or what threats were made. But..."

He trailed off, his words fading into uncertainty. He realized that he didn’t have the full story, and the shadows of the past held more than just his own suffering.

With a heavy heart, he acknowledged that Xuan Yang must have been compelled to accept the contract’s terms for the sake of continuing the Xuan bloodline, among other possible pressures and threats.

The situation was far more complex than he could comprehend, and he was not the sole victim in this tangled web of deceit and manipulation.

"Homewrecker..." Xuan Jian muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Homewrecker?" Xuan Jian repeated the word, savoring it as if its repetition would help him grasp its futuristic meanings. He didn’t fully understand the term, but he could feel the weight of the emotions swirling around Xu Feng.

Xu Feng, typically vibrant and expressive, now seemed weighed down by shame. His head hung low, as if he wished he could disappear into himself, far removed from the chaos within him.

It was a stark contrast to the usual Xu Feng. Whether he wore a bright smile with an enchanting laugh soon to follow, or a facade as icy as any young mistress Xuan Jian had ever known, or even those moments when his face flushed with desire, there was always something captivating about him.

Every part of the ger was captivating, but it was the unique blend of all these aspects that kept Xuan Jian deeply enthralled.

All these faces were bright and radiant. The ger’s face alone was eye catching, but it was all these small parts of him that kept Xuan Jian falling deeper for Xu Feng.

"We want you...I want you to get better. Better than you were in the past" Xuan Jian said with a deep sincerity. He gently lifted Xu Feng’s face, their eyes locking in an intense gaze. Desire surged between them, a potent force that had kindled Xuan Jian’s interest in the ger.

Yet it was more than just attraction; it was every word and reaction from Xu Feng that pulled him in deeper, creating a bond.

"Your health is paramount to me, far more than any child or contractual obligations," Xuan Jian declared, his eyes unwavering.

Xu Feng’s eyes glistened at the corners, hinting at unshed tears. The flush at the corners of his eyes were enthralling in a sadistic way.

Xuan Jian felt a twinge of helplessness; there was no one he could strike to make Xu Feng happy. He felt a pang of frustration, like he didn’t know how to soothe the ger’s pain.

He suddenly had no idea what to do with himself. The calm he felt after meditating through exercise seemed to completely fade away.

"I don’t fully understand what a homewrecker is," Xuan Jian admitted, his voice filled with earnest sincerity, "but I want you to know that you are precious to me, and to Xuan Yang."

With a confidence that radiated from deep within, he continued, "The doctor has recommended modesty while your body heals. We need to be more restrained, and we must control the frequency of our intimacy. Perhaps even two times during a dual full moon period may be too much for your recovering body."

(Dual full moon period is equal to a months period of time).

Xu Feng’s expression became blank as he absorbed the words.

Xuan Jian continued, "As there are two husbands, we need to consider your well being as you heal. Our main concern is not conceiving a child but safeguarding your health."

He tilted his head, appearing genuinely saddened by what he was about to say, yet he found the strength to continue when he looked into Xu Feng’s bewildered eyes.

"We can take turns, Xuan Yang and I," he explained, "but only when you feel well enough. And it must not exceed twice during the dual full moon period."

Xuan Jian expanded deeper into the reasoning behind this approach, highlighting the importance of caring for Xu Feng’s health. He emphasized that having a child was a significant responsibility that shouldn’t be rushed into at the cost of Xu Feng’s well being.

Many gers had met unfortunate fates in ancient Donghua due to such negligence, and although they had a higher chance of bearing children with the immortal bloodline, they required care and consideration, not to be treated as mere tools for childbirth.

All this was great information...except it was all going in one ear and coming out the other. Xu Feng’s brain seemed frozen.

Xu Feng’s mind had become a swirling chaos, his thoughts jumbled and incoherent. Despite Xuan Jian’s earnest explanation and the genuine concern in his eyes, the ger was unable to process the information. It felt as if his brain had frozen, leaving him in a state of confusion and bewilderment.
