The Ger's Contract Marriage [BL] -
Chapter 129: Peaceful Denial
Chapter 129: Peaceful Denial
Xu Feng’s mind resembled a whirlwind, thoughts colliding and intertwining in a confusing mess. Despite the sincere explanation and the genuine concern reflected in Xuan Jian’s eyes, the ger found himself utterly incapable of understanding the information presented.
His mental abilities seemed to have seized, trapping him in a state of confusion and disorientation.
Why was this information so difficult to absorb?
Two major questions loomed in his thoughts, refusing to be ignored:
Firstly, the idea that they intended to take turns trying to impregnate him? Or at least just taking turns having sex with him.
Were they so interested in the sex to still want it even if it was so limited? No matter what anyone thought, he knew both men to be quite horny. But was it just about doing it?
And secondly, the belief that his physical well being held more significance than the possibility of conceiving a child. After all, hadn’t that been the main point of the agreement with the Xuan family?
These questions furrowed Xu Feng’s brow as he attempted to unravel the difficulties of the situation. But the more he thought about these questions the quicker they gave birth to more and more questions. It was a never ending spiral.
Was this arrangement purely a matter of physical intimacy? Or could it possibly involve deeper emotions? Could one person genuinely love more than a single individual simultaneously?
If that was the case, did the world of ancient Donghua allow for such unconventional relationships, like a reverse harem?
Xu Feng, a man from the future, or maybe a parallel future, wondered if he was the one that was backward. Maybe the ancient men were more open than he was.
Real feelings of what kind?
Watching Xu Feng becoming more distant, Xuan Jian felt the need to bridge the gap that was steadily growing between them. He leaned in, gently pressing his lips to the ger’s, a soft, lingering kiss that left Xu Feng in a daze for entirely different reasons.
It was a moment of connection, a touch that exceeded Xu Feng’s physical form, like the man had kissed his soul.
As they parted, Xu Feng’s gaze remained hazy, but it wasn’t the disoriented confusion from earlier. Instead, he seemed to find a sense of calmness. Unwilling to detach himself from Xuan Jian, he nestled into the warmth of those strong arms, finding comfort in the embrace.
In this tranquil moment, time seemed to stand still in the budding greenhouse. They stood there like fixtures of this growing sanctuary, drawing strength and comfort from each other’s presence.
The atmosphere was filled with an indescribable stillness, a peacefulness that enveloped them in a sense of safety.
The connection they shared was distinct from the one he had experienced with Xuan Yang in Yilin Town, yet it held the same sense of comfort and security. Whether it was Xuan Yang or Xuan Jian, being in their arms felt like finding a safe haven, a place of refuge in the middle of the chaos of the world.
Not thinking was the best option now. It was always his go to option. Ignorance was bliss to a certain extent. He couldn’t let himself be killed by feigning ignorance, but he could at least play dumb in situations like this. Ones that weren’t life threatening.
As Xu Feng reflected on the deep emotions, he held for both men, or tried not to, he couldn’t help but wonder if his fox blood played a role in these feelings.
He considered the transformation he had undergone when transmigrating into this body, including the ability to bear children, a change in gender he had initially brushed off.
However, for Xuan Yang and Xuan Jian, he was willing to embrace this part of himself. He felt ready to make sacrifices, even if it meant enduring the discomfort of childbirth, for the sake of the two men.
For both of them, he would willingly sacrifice his poor birthing canal for a child or two...if it wasn’t too painful.
Reflecting on his own upbringing, Xu Feng acknowledged the support and love he had received from his adoptive parents. Despite their busy lives and limited time together, they had been good parents. He recognized the importance of such positive influences in his life, an experience not everyone was fortunate enough to have.
Xu Feng’s family had been small. Growing up, he had one grandparent who had filled his life with love. While the time he spent with his grandmother had been limited, the affection they shared had been real.
Yet, the emotions he was experiencing with Xuan Yang and Xuan Jian were on a different level entirely. It wasn’t love, at least not in its conventional sense.
It was a deep sense of safety; unlike anything he had ever known. It felt as if, even if he were to unintentionally shatter the world, they would stand by him, offering protection and support.
He couldn’t recall either of these men ever expressing such emotions before. The mysterious influence of his bloodline seemed to be playing tricks on him, and he found himself trapped in this surreal whirlwind of emotions.
The strength to awaken from this delusion escaped him, and he considered if he would meet his end on this particular emotional battlefield.
There was a lingering fear, an uneasiness that maybe one day they would grow tired of him or that these emotions were unanswered. The feeling of connection would ring hollow if it was solely his own.
The prospect of having budding feelings for not one but two men should have left him anxious and tense with confusion. Yet, within the confines of the greenhouse and the comforting presence of the grey eyed man, he found himself oddly calm and at peace.
It was as if, within the embrace of these arms and in the sanctuary of the greenhouse, the world outside ceased to matter. The complexities of his emotions felt more manageable, and he allowed himself to savor this newfound sense of belonging and warmth.
