Chapter 763: Chapter 763: Lucy Frost_1

Onyx Mason’s expression faltered for a moment as he cautiously sized up Carson Flores.

"Mr. Flores, may I ask why you are inquiring about them?"

Carson Flores’s heart leapt with joy, the steward’s expression clearly indicating he knew them.

Naturally, Carson would not reveal the truth, and he improvised, "Entrusted by others, I have a letter to deliver to them."

The steward gave an oh of understanding but didn’t think much of it, after all the identity of Carson Flores as a disciple of Nutwood Mountain Cave Master was too formidable, enough to prevent many questions.

"Mount Kahdas’s main peak has seven summits, each named after the stars of the Big Dipper. Westin Flores is a disciple of the Tianquan Peak, one of the outstanding young disciples, mentored by Elder Fernando Acevedo. He once went on an errand to the Mortal Realm and brought back a woman from there, which caused quite a stir at that time."

A disciple of Tianquan Peak Elder?

This status should be quite impressive, right?

Carson mumbled in his heart, and at the same time, a surge of gratification rose within him because they indeed returned to Mount Kahdas, and they were alive; otherwise, there wouldn’t be any talk of causing a stir.

Carson curiously asked, "Falling in love and marrying a woman from the Mortal Realm doesn’t seem like a big deal. Why did it cause such a stir?"

Onyx Mason chuckled, "The main reason is that this involved Adelaide Bautista, the Miss Tang you just mentioned. Adelaide Bautista is the Cave Master’s granddaughter, a woman of high status, so she garnered a lot more attention."

The granddaughter of the Cave Master?

Carson widened his eyes, his gaze filled with shock.

Dad, well played!

Carson pressed on, "Ms. Adelaide and Westin Flores between them..."

Onyx Mason cleared his throat, "The matters of love between man and woman, who can really tell? I’m not very clear on the specifics, after all, I’m just a lodge steward."

Carson knew Onyx Mason was being cautious and unwilling to say more, so he smiled and said, "Steward Onyx, could you trouble yourself to take me to visit Westin Flores and Lucy Frost? I would also like to fulfill someone else’s request."

Carson took out a wooden box containing Spiritual Medicine and handed it to Onyx, smiling, "A small token of appreciation, thank you for the trouble."

Upon seeing the wooden box, Onyx knew it contained Spiritual Medicine and was overjoyed. "Mr. Flores, you are too kind. It’s just a minor matter; I cannot accept such a generous gift..."

Carson smiled and pushed it into his hand, "You’ve been troubled, it’s only right."

No longer standing on ceremony, Onyx’s attitude became much more attentive, "Mr. Flores, would now be a good time?"

Carson replied in a relaxed tone, "Whenever the host finds convenient. If now is possible, that would be even better."

Onyx nodded, "Alright, then please follow me, Mr. Flores."

Onyx Mason took to the air with the wind, and Carson followed closely on his flying sword, silently musing that Mount Kahdas was indeed powerful, for even a steward greeting guests possessed Nascent Soul Strength.

Over the sprawling mountain range and arriving at the fourth towering main peak, Onyx introduced, "This is Tianquan Peak."

The two landed before the Mountain Protection Array, and after a brief exchange with the guarding disciples at the entrance, Onyx led Carson towards the back of the mountain.

"Westin Flores and his wife reside in Cave Residence No. 648. Mr. Flores, please follow me."

648?

Carson roughly understood the ranking rules of the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens; the higher the rank, the better the environment and the higher the status.

Westin’s mentor was an elder; elders are usually First or Second Generation Disciples, so Westin was likely a Third Generation Disciple.

Excluding the higher status First and Second Generation Disciples, Westin’s residence at Cave No. 648 indicated a respectable status.

Didn’t Onyx say so? He’s a standout among the younger generation of disciples.

Carson’s heartbeat began to accelerate slightly.

Am I about to meet my parents?

Carson wanted to understand the situation more clearly, but since Onyx was unwilling to elaborate, there was no choice but to meet them in person.

After flying a considerable distance, Onyx landed halfway up the mountain, smiling, "Just ahead is the place."

Passing through a forest, a small quadrangle courtyard came into view, adorned with a variety of fruits and vegetables planted in front of the house.

Onyx stepped up to knock on the door, but no one responded.

"They might be out. Shall we come back at another time?"

Carson said with a smile, "I have nothing pressing to do; I might as well wait here for a while. Steward Onyx, you can go about your business, and I’ll head back on my own later."

Onyx’s expression showed some hesitation, and just then, his Communication Stone suddenly began to flash.

After checking the message, Onyx apologetically said, "I have an unexpected meeting to attend straight away..."

Carson interjected, "Go ahead, Steward Onyx, and I’ll wait a little longer. If no one shows, I’ll come back. I won’t wander around."

With a few polite reminders from Onyx cautioning Carson not to stray to avoid misunderstandings, Onyx quickly left.

With Onyx gone, Carson’s excitement grew unconstrained now that nobody was around; there was no need to hide it anymore.

Carson knocked again, but still, no one answered.

Standing still for a long while with nothing to do, Carson casually strolled down the path next to the house.

Every step on these stairs, his parents must have trodden countless times.

Carson wanted to walk around and see, to feel the environment where his parents had lived.

After walking two or three hundred meters, the sound of water flowing and voices speaking suddenly came from up ahead.

Carson’s eyes lit up, and as he walked through a pine forest along the narrow path, the view abruptly opened up.

Carson immediately saw his mother, Lucy Frost, who had a face strikingly similar to his aunt Leah Frost, making her highly recognizable.

Joy rose to Carson’s brows, but in the next second, the smile on his face suddenly froze.
