Chapter 764: Chapter 764 You Go Ahead and Tell, See Who Will Care About You_1

Lucy Frost held a basin of clothes in her hands, apparently just having washed them by the creek.

Standing in front of Lucy were three young men and women, two women and one man, one of whom suddenly swung her hand, striking the wooden basin that Lucy was holding.

"Smack!"

The wooden basin fell to the ground, and the clothes inside scattered everywhere.

The woman sneered and said, "Lucy Frost, don’t be shameless. As a mere Foundation Establishment Early Stage cultivator with mediocre talent, what right do you have to occupy such an excellent cave dwelling? If you know what’s good for you, hand over the cave dwelling immediately."

Lucy replied calmly, "The cave dwelling belongs to my husband, and you have no right to take it."

The woman sneered, "Westin Flores, haha, if Westin were still here, that would be one thing, but he’s been missing for ten years now. That place is a death trap. Do you really think he could still be alive? If he were, he would have come back long ago."

Standing not far away, Carson Flores’s face suddenly turned deathly pale.

Missing for ten years?

He had come to Mount Kahdas filled with joy, eager for a family reunion, but he didn’t expect that upon arrival, he would see his mother being bullied and hear news of his father’s decade-long disappearance in the Forbidden Ground, his life or death unknown.

Carson clenched his teeth, and in his gaze towards the speaking woman, a hint of ferocity emerged.

Lucy’s complexion turned a shade paler, and clearly, the woman’s words had a strong psychological impact on her, but she stubbornly insisted, "He is just missing; it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s dead. Perhaps he is secluded somewhere, cultivating. Isn’t it normal for a cultivator to cultivate for ten years?"

The woman burst out laughing, "Deluding yourself. Harmony Hollow Forbidden Ground is rampant with monsters. Nearly all who went there died. Westin Flores disappeared. Do you think he would be an exception? I suppose he might have ended up directly in the belly of some monster."

Lucy swayed for a moment, her face becoming even paler, "You’re talking nonsense! He must still be alive!"

The woman’s smile disappeared, and she said icily, "Enough talk. I’ll ask you just once, will you hand over the cave dwelling or not?"

Lucy, gritting her teeth, replied, "I won’t! You have no right to take someone else’s cave dwelling!"

The cold and detached woman standing by interjected, "Of course forcefully taking is not acceptable, but if you voluntarily agree, then it would be fine, wouldn’t it? I believe you will agree voluntarily, right?"

The woman who had knocked over Lucy’s basin sneered, "A mortal woman has somehow, through some trickery, seduced Westin Flores and thus entered Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven. Now that Westin is dead, you’re still foolishly dreaming about keeping the cave for yourself. Wishful thinking. Since you’re unwilling, today I will teach you a lesson to remember."

The woman stepped towards Lucy, a mocking smile on her face, "Don’t worry, I’m not slapping you to take your cave dwelling—I’m just teaching you a lesson for your insolence. Even if you complain to the high heavens, no one will care."

Lucy bit her lip and took a step back, assuming a defensive stance.

The woman sneered, "With your pitiful skills, you dare to bristle at me? Let me tell you, the more you resist, the more you will get hurt. If you don’t agree to hand it over, I will come and trouble you every day. Let’s see how long you can hold out!"

Lucy threw out a punch.

"Overestimating your abilities."

With a sneer, the woman dodged the punch with a swift move, then raised her right hand, poised to slap Lucy’s face.

"Swoosh!"

A Flying Sword, like a darting swan, shot instantly through the pine forest, heading straight for the woman.

The woman sensed something amiss, glanced to the side, and her pupils suddenly contracted. It was already too late to throw out her Magic Artifact for defense, and she could only jerk her body back dramatically. The Flying Sword grazed past her face, leaving behind a fine sword cut. A trickle of fresh blood immediately appeared, the bright red blood hanging on her face was stark and glaring.

The Flying Sword circled back and hovered in front of Carson, gently trembling, ready to shoot out again at any moment.

All four individuals present turned their attention, their gazes unanimously fixed on Carson, who stood at the entrance of the pine forest.

A flush of red suddenly rose on Lucy’s pale face. She stared intently at Carson, her eyes filled with incredulous shock and confusion.

At first sight of Carson, she subconsciously thought it was Westin, for the resemblance was striking. But in less than a second, Lucy realized that it wasn’t Westin.

Carson was younger than Westin, with a different aura about him; importantly, the look in his eyes as he saw her was different.

But who was this then?

Why did he look so much like Westin?

Considering Carson’s age, he must have been around twenty-six or twenty-seven. That age...

Lucy’s body trembled slightly.

A thought started to form in her mind, but she herself couldn’t believe it was possible.

This was Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven!

Without a gate invitation, people from the Mortal Realm were unable to enter the Cave Heaven!

Yet that thought grew unrestrainedly like weeds, quickly filling her heart.

How she wished it to be true!

Lucy locked her eyes on Carson, her voice trembling as she asked, "Who are you...?"
