Chapter 423: Chapter 423: Is She That Terrifying?_1
"Auntie, if you want to buy me clothes, there’s no need to beat around the bush,"
Leah Frost looked at Carson Flores with a helpless expression and chuckled, "Alright, alright, it’s just that your auntie here lacks grandeur. I was afraid you’d feel embarrassed."
Carson Flores laughed, "I’ve already accepted a car worth more than six million, would I be bothered by a few more sets of clothes? My skin is quite thick."
Leah Frost reached out and pinched Carson Flores’s cheek, "That’s more like it. Don’t ever be polite with your auntie. As long as I have it, just ask for it."
Carson Flores laughed, "I really don’t lack anything."
Leah Frost insisted, "What you have is yours, and what’s given by your auntie is from your auntie. That’s two different things, no conflict... Come on, try this on."
Helplessly, Carson Flores began his journey of trying on clothes. He had a well-proportioned body and clearly defined muscles, the perfect template for a fashion model, which made Leah Frost’s eyes sparkle as he wore the clothes.
"So handsome! I really don’t know which girl will be lucky enough to have you. I need to sort through my contacts and pick a good one for you!"
Along the way, Leah Frost bought Carson Flores a lot of sets of clothes, from the inside out, even not sparing underwear and socks, which made Carson Flores somewhat embarrassed.
"Embarrassed about what? I’m your auntie!"
After strolling through the mall for a while, Leah Frost checked the time, "Let’s go, time for lunch!"
Carson Flores asked, "Aren’t we going back to eat?"
Leah Frost replied, "I’ve already let them know we’re not coming back for lunch. Don’t overthink it. Do you feel guilty eating out on your own normally? You just eat wherever you want, right? Home is a place for rest, where your mind can be at peace, not a place to restrict you. You’re an adult now, with your own schedule; grandparents won’t interfere with you. Of course, whether you eat at home or not, you should let the family know."
Carson Flores obediently agreed, "Mhm."
Just as the two were about to have lunch, Carson Flores’s phone rang.
Lillian Frost.
"Cousin, we’re here. Let grandparents know to count us two in for the meal."
Carson Flores laughed, "I’m at Sky Street mall with auntie, not at home, and we’re not coming back for lunch either."
"Then we’ll come over and join you for lunch."
"Sure!"
Carson Flores hung up the phone and said, "Nathaniel Frost and his sister are coming."
Leah Frost nodded, "Good, the more the merrier."
The two found a restaurant and sat down. Soon, Nathaniel Frost and Lillian Frost arrived, with Nathaniel’s right cheek slightly bruised and swollen.
"Auntie!"
Leah Frost’s eyes swept over Nathaniel Frost’s face, "Did you get into a fight during a night out?"
Unable to hide the truth, Nathaniel Frost frankly replied, "Yeah, Khalil Baker that jerk tried to steal my girlfriend, and we happened to bump into each other at the same bar... so we had a fight..."
Leah Frost raised an eyebrow, "Did you lose or win?"
Nathaniel Frost glanced at Carson Flores and grinned, "Of course, I won. I slapped Khalil Baker three times."
Leah Frost noticed Nathaniel Frost’s glance and turned her head to ask, "Carson Flores, were you involved too?"
Carson Flores smiled, "With Nathaniel being so brave, Lillian and I were just watching the show, right, Lillian?"
Lillian Frost blinked and nodded vigorously, "Right, cousin and I were just watching. Brother was really fierce last night!"
All the small movements were caught by Leah Frost, who was certain that the three had kept some things from her. Maybe Carson Flores had joined in the fight to help? Nathaniel Frost and Lillian Frost were worried about being scolded by her, so they lied to separate the fighting incident from Carson Flores, while Carson Flores also played along with the act, indicating he was not a participant.
Leah Frost huffed, "What’s with all the winking and nodding? I don’t care about anything else, as long as you won the fight. If you lost, you should ask your brother to take revenge for you. If he can’t handle it, I will!"
After the meal, Leah Frost paid the bill and tossed her purse, "I have another appointment. You guys go and have fun."
"Okay!"
After Leah Frost left, Nathaniel Frost and Lillian Frost both let out a sigh of relief.
Seeing their reaction, Carson Flores said, "What’s with that reaction? Why is it like you’ve seen a ghost? Is she really that scary?"
Nathaniel Frost chuckled, "Seeing a ghost might leave room for negotiation, but with auntie, there’s no room for that. With her temper, if I really piss her off, she will literally beat me up so bad that I won’t die but will certainly shed a layer of skin!"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah!"
Lillian Frost nodded in agreement, "If she knew we took you to a fight, there’s no telling if she would deal with us."
Considering Leah Frost’s earlier reactions, Carson Flores laughed, "She probably already knows. She didn’t look into it only because she heard you won the fight."
Nathaniel Frost was startled, "Really?"
Carson Flores nodded, "Most likely."
Nathaniel Frost grinned, "Then I better keep my distance from her for a while, to avoid her venting her anger on me."
Lillian Frost spoke up, "Cousin, hurry up and call sister-in-law to come out. We should go see a movie. There’s a new one that’s really good."
Unable to decline, Carson Flores picked up his phone to call Samantha Tate, "Do you have plans this afternoon? If not, come out to watch a movie. My cousin and little cousin want to meet you..."
