Chapter 424: Chapter 424: Hooked Up with a Beautiful Young Rich Woman?_1

"Wow, sister-in-law, you look so beautiful!"

When Samantha Tate appeared before everyone, Lillian Frost’s eyes lit up instantly, and she ran over and hugged Samantha’s arm, full of envy as she complimented her.

Samantha was clearly dressed with great care, from her makeup to her attire, she looked beautiful and elegant without being flamboyant.

She was also surprised when she received Carson’s call, but then she was happy.

She was happy for Carson since things hadn’t turned out as bad as Carson had previously estimated. Carson received great importance and a warm welcome from the Frost family, which meant Carson would have relatives in the future and wouldn’t be alone anymore.

She was also happy because Carson was taking her to meet his family members!

Although it was only meeting cousins and not elders, it still indicated her status in Carson’s heart.

If he hadn’t been sure about her, given Carson’s personality, why would he take her to meet his family?

Lillian Frost’s call of "sister-in-law" made Samantha’s heart bloom with joy. Carson smiled and introduced, "Lillian Frost, a senior college student... Nathaniel Frost, my cousin... This is Samantha Tate, you can just call her Sister Samantha."

Nathaniel respectfully greeted, "Hello, Sister Samantha."

When Nathaniel saw Samantha Tate, his sense of surprise about Carson grew even stronger.

At the family dinner the day before, Nathaniel hadn’t spoken much, but he had heard about Carson’s general circumstances; he was adopted by a man, grew up and joined the army, and after returning started working, selling stuff, and working as a security guard – everything seemed very ordinary and normal.

Nathaniel felt some sympathy for his suddenly emerged cousin Carson. Supposedly, Carson’s biological father had an extraordinary background, and with a mother who was a member of the Frost family, it stood to reason that Carson’s background wouldn’t be just any ordinary person but should naturally be one without worry for food and clothing, rich and honorable. Yet, Carson’s life seemed so frugal.

However, last night’s experience made Nathaniel doubt Carson’s "ordinary" past.

Sitting in a glitzy bar, drinking wines worth tens of thousands per bottle with a group of rich young heirs, Carson showed no signs of discomfort or embarrassment, behaving very naturally and calmly.

This seemed quite unreasonable!

Frederick Howell, with his strength, overshadowed Nathaniel and the others, yet Carson calmly stepped forward, took Frederick down with a single flying kick, and left him seething but unable to speak.

What’s more, Carson’s attack on Frederick looked casual, and he showed no worry about any retaliation afterward.

He looked so nonchalant!

He looked so confident!

Nathaniel didn’t know the extent of Carson’s strength, but being able to handle Frederick so easily clearly indicated it was not low—this was too far from the few years of martial arts training with his master that he had talked about, wasn’t it?

Samantha Tate was stunningly beautiful – dangerously so. And just by looking at her dress and demeanor, one could tell she came from a wealthy background, an absolute rich beauty. Could such a wealthy beauty fall for a salesman, a security guard?

None of the heirs to great fortunes were fools. Although Nathaniel wasn’t as sharp as his older brother, he still had good discernment.

He had the vague feeling that this cousin of his, who had fallen on hard times, might have an unknown side to him.

Nathaniel didn’t say anything but kept a careful watch while feeling a hint of excitement, as if a detective was on the verge of clearing the fog and uncovering the truth of a mystery.

"How did you and your sister-in-law meet?"

Carson looked at the two women walking arm in arm ahead and smiled, "She was crossing the street and on the phone, not watching for cars. She almost got hit, and I pulled her out of the way, then we just met..."

A hero saving the beauty?

Nathaniel smiled and gave a thumbs up, "Impressive, it’s fate!"

The four of them went to the cinema, watched a movie together, and since it was still early for dinner, they strolled around the nearby mall.

Samantha Tate picked out two outfits for Lillian and insisted on paying for them, claiming it was a welcome gift for Lillian.

Nathaniel noticed the price of the clothes; the two outfits together were over ten thousand.

As Samantha was paying with her card, Nathaniel sneaked a glance at Carson, who was persuading Lillian to accept the gift and was not paying attention to the card transaction at all.

Could it be that all his previous suspicions about Carson being off were just because Carson had a rich and beautiful girlfriend?

Had he latched onto a wealthy beauty?

Yet, Nathaniel also noticed that Samantha was incredibly tender and obedient towards Carson, not showing any haughtiness typical of a rich girl.

This cousin has got something!

He felt a bit envious...

After paying, the group carrying bags of clothes left the boutique, ready to find a place to eat, when a young couple walked towards them.

The girl, clinging to the man’s arm, cooed: "Brother Santino, I spotted a bracelet last time; it’s only over fifty thousand..."

Only?

What a word to use!

Carson smiled and turned his head as his gaze fell on the young man and then he froze.

The man pinched the girl’s face playfully and responded with a grin: "I’ll buy it! As long as you’re good, I’ll buy you anything..."

The man’s voice suddenly cut off, and his steps halted abruptly, eyes wide in disbelief, staring at Carson standing before him, quickly turning from shock to horror.

To Carson’s surprise, he hadn’t expected to bump into Santino Vasquez here of all places.

Carson gave a slight smile: "Mr. Vasquez, what a coincidence, running into you here!"
