Chapter 98: Uh oh

The attacker was as stiff as a board, maybe upon seeing so many piranhas swimming in the water he was worried that even the slightest movement might cause him trouble. Cian could sense that his attacker was trying to shift and he would have succeeded if the guild didn’t raid the magical tower under his lead and stole a bunch of magical restrains that stopped shifters from shifting to their animal forms.

Cian smiled at his ’cute’ attempt and very generously said, " There is no point in trying to get out of this if you do then" he pointed to the normal-looking leather bounds. " these will explode and you will be very sorry indeed."

The attacker suddenly stopped struggling against his binds and sat docilely but his eyes never left Cian. In them was a promise of retaliation if he was able to escape out of this situation like that was ever going to happen!

" I know its quite upsetting to wake up tied on a chair with several blood-thirsty piranhas, with teeth sharp enough to chew through dragon skin but you should have learned your lesson of 101 never f*ck with a siren because they were vicious little things when pissed and I am pissed as hell. And since you played a very major role in pissing the siren off part, I would kindly advise you to lower your eyes down before I get pissed even more and wrench your eyes out."

His attacker did as Cian told him but as an ex-assassin, Cian knew that his attacker was only being docile on the surface, beneath it. Heh, he sensed his moments when the attacker darted his eyes around the basement of the guild —— of course looking for escape routes. But his luck was rotten, there was only one route and Dominic was standing in front of it, with a move a finger and I will chew you out expression.

Dominic didn’t want to take the back seat but he has no choice either, Cian was someone who didn’t share his prey, since this one tried to attack him then he will make sure he will be the one who would make his attacker rue the day he accepted the job.

" Now, you don’t have to be scared as long as you are cooperative, I wouldn’t do a thing to you. From the looks of it you should already know who I am and what my name is, so there is no need for introduction, I guess." Cian gave his captive a smile that was as sweet as the one he gave to his mate when he was enraged at her for ignoring him. " But I don’t know what’s your name, go ahead and tell me."

The attacker held his gaze, his eyes filled with nothing but defiance and determination.

Cian sighed. " Would you look at that? And here I thought we will be able to get along well. Anyway, I think I will be kind enough and give you one since your parents were not as kind as me. I mean it would be rude to call you fuckface all the time like I am doing in my head now."

He leaned back and tapped his chin. " Hmm, I think I will call you broody for now, your face sort of matches with the name. Oh don’t look at me like that, I am being very kind here, usually, I would have asked one of my little pets to have their meal by now but I am holding back, aren’t I?" He motioned to the piranhas that hissed and showed off their sharp teeth to broody.

The attacker shivered and his light shivers gave Cian a wonderful delight. This was what he loved, interrogating, killing and making a living out of it, he would have lived like that if the situation didn’t call for it and he wasn’t heartbroken enough to accept the Dragon Queen’s embrace.

" Now, I will need you to tell me what’s going on, and how come some stupid organisations got the guts to kidnap the consort of the Dragon Queen?" asked Cian, meeting the gaze of broody who was looking at him as if he was an idiot.

God, he would love making this guy scream. Out of pain of course.

" You think that just because I am the Queen’s consort now, I have lost my touch don’t you?" said Cian and when the man smirked, he knew that the attacker was looking down at him for being a woman’s Concubine. He wasn’t the first and he wouldn’t be the last but he will be one of those who will certainly regret looking down at him. "That’s stupid broody, just because I am the Queen’s consort it doesn’t mean that I have cut off my balls and handed them over to the Queen to keep, they are very much with me. You can either tell me whether you are going to answer my questions or I can make you vomit them out." ’

His attacker was dumb enough to roll his eyes.

" All right then," Cian sighed as he stood up from his chair and gripped the chin of the man and stared right into the eyes of the man. " You might not know this broody but Sirens are not just some beautiful daydreams, we can be one of your worst nightmares." And then he opened his mouth before humming a tune causing the attacker’s eyes to go glassy before he started twisting and struggling in his chair.

Cian pulled back as he watched the man jolt in the chair and smiled in satisfaction when the man cried out in pain and terror. " You should have answered when I asked them kindly, now I will leave you and your monsters alone for the night, Broody."

" Jesse, you have no idea how much fun tonight was," gushed Cian as he climbed back into his bedroom through the balcony because it was dark, he could only see a blurry outline of the figure that was sitting on the couch of his room.

Knowing how much of a worry wart was his aide, Cian assumed that the figure belonged to his aide before he kicked off his slippers and bundled his long hair in a bun. " The most fun I had in days, I will tell you everything when I am done changing——"

The lamp on the table next to the long couch was switched on and in came the view of a very ...very angry-looking Dragon Queen causing Cian’s smile to drop as he blinked and awkwardly smiled. " Uh oh?"

" Uh Oh." conceded the Dragon Queen.
