Chapter 178: Heart of Unicorn elf

Baron Cleveland’s forehead sweated as he cursed his daughter for showing her stupidity in front of the lord. Their lord wanted powerful warriors to regain what he has lost and summon his faithful servants calling them from hell itself and here she was showing off her stupidity as if she was a blubbering idiot like that boy jumping down the pothole.

Did she think that she could save the world? What an idiot!

He grasped Estelle’s wrist and tugged her hard enough to make her stumble to the ground, Estelle winced as she dropped to her knees. Her palms scratched because of the rough wooden floor that hasn’t been cleaned for who knows how long but before she could even raise her head to see the damages, her father grasped the back of her head and with a bang ——bowed her head in front of the figure hiding in the dark.

Estelle sucked in a breath as pain shot through her forehead from the crown of her head down to her teeth. She gritted her pearly whites and managed to stop the hiss that was building in her throat, inhuman. Every single one of them was inhuman and nothing else!

" Forgive me, my lord." Her father’s grovelling voice echoed in the wooden chamber along with the scent of rotten wood and ancient dust. " She is still young and I might have doted on her a little too much, she is genuinely a good girl.. good enough to be of your use." Estelle felt her father’s fingers knot at the back of her head and her head was dragged back up, the roots of her hair pulled and she sucked in a deep breath while staring at the bloody reds in front of her. " She is a moon-child, born from the mating of me and her mother, in her veins flows the pure blood of the unicorn elves, the purest of all forms. I bred her just for this day waiting for you to revive. And now that you are back my lord, I will hand this girl to you and make her a pet or slave, she will surely follow your lead."

Estelle clenched her fingers on the floorboard. Bred. What an interesting way to say that he joined in the process of giving birth to her. Estelle like her mother was a moon child, an offspring of unicorn elves. With skin as silvery white as that of a unicorn, with moon goddesses as their guardian and blood that was purer than that of elves, they were rare creatures who hid in the thickest forest of the Agoryn. A place where no human could reach, though the forest gave them security it also tied their feet to the territory of the forest.

Her mother unrestrained and mercurial as she was escaped the security of the elders of the Agoryn forest and then was caught by her father. Who with his charming voice and handsome face of his youth enchanted her mother right into giving birth to her and then he killed her mother.

Right on the night of her birth, no funeral was held and her mother’s body was thrown into the wilderness like some pet who has far lived its due. Of course, her mother’s body was dried off the last drop of blood and then securely kept in a hidden chamber.

"It’s all right, there is no need to be so rough with the child," the voice said but contrary to what it was saying, the prince sounded amused like he was liking the pain that her father was inflicting on her. Psychopath.

Was there any sense in abandoning the sensible dragon queen who knew her limits to this man who knew nothing about boundaries?

" I don’t have many fans left not after the purification where my dear sister captured all of my supporters and sent them to hell." A gulp resounded in the room followed by a thick scent of blood and terror clawed against Estelle’s rib cage. Swooping on her like a second skin. Those bloody red once again darted to her with mirth dancing in them. " If she is a moon child surely her mother would have been a unicorn elf? Blessed by the moon goddess, what happened to her?"

Baron Cleveland let go of Estelle’s hair with an expression as if his comprehension was finally dawning on him, like the sun breaking through the horizon. " I have it here... I didn’t need her anymore, she was too noisy and annoying. I got rid of her but my lord, I made sure that you will be able to get what you wanted on your revival."

She watched her father blankly but when Estelle saw the golden vase inlaid with many jewels together with the figure of moon Goddess carved on it like some big joke, her eyes shook. She knew what this was... she knew what was inside the jar.

" The heart of the unicorn elf dipped in her own blood for more than ten years, my lord." Her father said those crude words without the slightest bit of tremors in his voice, like the blood he was talking about didn’t belong to his dead wife and the mother of his kids. " You can feast on it and regain your strength, my lord. I pray for your complete revival, only with your revival will a new dawn break through this Empire."

Semel walked forward and then took the jar from her father’s hands and headed towards the darkness in front of them. Estelle heard the light thud as the jar was placed on the table and to her horror, she watched the man with a grim reaper-like smile walk towards a cabinet and take a silver plate along with some kitchen utensils before setting it in front of the man hiding in the darkness.

Estelle watched Semel pick up the jar with her mother’s heart and tipped it into the plate with rounded and curved edges. Silver blood splashed out and then a lump of red, pumping muscles fell between the plate.
