Cassius opened his eyes as he looked at the bow that was tied at the lower back of Bree’s dress and swallowed. The strings were tied in such a way that they were entangled to the point that he couldn’t even think of untying it without shredding the strings to bits but he couldn’t do that, he was portraying as an omega, since when an omega started to shred clothes of an alpha? It was always the opposite way.

So what should he do now?

" What’s wrong?" Just as he was wondering whether he should just tug it until it rips off, Bree’s voice came from the top of his head. He was lightly stunned when she turned around and looked at him with those slitted eyes, though her eyes had a chilly look in them...something about them was quite alluring, he swallowed hard and lowered his head before replying in a slightly hoarse voice, fortunately, his voice was that of a female and thus, not much changes were detected in it. " The knot is entangled, your majesty."

Bree’s brow scrunched up. Sure enough, the head maid really took her revenge like this, she sighed as she turned to look at the front and said, "It’s alright, you can keep trying, if you can’t untie them with your fingers, use your teeth."

" My...My what?" Did he really hear her say what he just heard? Was she asking him to use his teeth and rip those strings off? Did she really have no idea about his identity? Why did he feel like she was seducing him?

" Your teeth, Cassidy?" Bree frowned, she wasn’t an unreasonable person and she was thankful for Cassidy’s help, after all, because of her, her fever was now getting better but she did have a small flaw and that was—— she really, really disliked anything smelly or dirty. The mud-like thing might have helped in bringing her temperature down but that didn’t change the fact that she was feeling quite uncomfortable with the smell, right now all she wanted was to take a bath and honestly Cassidy wasn’t helping. " Just rip the strings off, the smell is making me feel unpleasant."

’And your request is making me feel uncomfortable!’ Cassius roared inwardly, he was really anxious. In fact, his entire being felt like it was going to be sick, he has never been close to a woman before and now he was suddenly asked to do something like this, how can he not be uncomfortable? However, for the sake of not blowing his cover, he gritted his teeth and lowered his head, his lips brushing against the soft yet charred strings and his fingers unconsciously clenched. Why? Why in the world, did they lose all their accommodations if there was a single pair of scissors then he would have used it without even caring a thing!

With his eyes closed he slowly yet very carefully untied the strings that were tied to the point that they looked like they wouldn’t separate even at the end of the world. As soon as he did that he stood up, making sure that he wouldn’t be able to catch a single glimpse of Bree’s naked back but even with all his precautions, he still caught hold of the milky white skin that seemed to be glowing under the light of the lotus lamp, a small mole peeped out of the burnt dress making Cassius’s throat to suddenly go parched. And just as Bree lowered her dress, he retreated knocking into the small cabinet behind him causing the things sitting on top of it to fall on the ground, the noise wasn’t loud but it was enough to make Bree look over her shoulder. Her perfectly arched brow furrowed as she asked, " What’s going on?"

" I... I..." as Cassius tried to think about an excuse his gaze fell on the perfect bosom that was peeking out of the dress that was almost slipping down Bree’s shoulders. His heart thumped as he bowed and said, " I will send someone else to take care of you, your majesty. I just remembered that I need to do something." Then without giving Bree a chance to say anything, he immediately rushed out of the tent, Bree who was surprised by the little maid’s actions frowned and muttered under her breath, " But didn’t she say that there was no one, who was free other than her?" But then she shrugged off her dress, there was no need for her to worry about it, maybe the maid really had something to do.

Other than worrying about the maid, she needed to take care of this god-awful smell.

Cassius rushed out of the tent and immediately ran to a small tree where he leaned against the trunk and took a long and harsh breath. That was ... what was that? His heart was still beating to the point he felt like it was going to jump out of his chest.

" You...what are you doing?" He was still busy trying to calm his heartbeat when he heard a familiar voice and turned around at once. "First consort?" Then as if realising his position, he lowered his head and greeted Yakov. " Good evening to you, first consort."

" Yes, good evening to you too," said Yakov as he looked at the little maid, as far as he knew, he sent this maid to take care of Bree. So, what was she doing here? " I asked you to take care of her majesty, what are you doing here?"

Cassius stiffened, the sweat on his back didnt even get a chance to dry up and now he was sweating again. If the first consort ever found out that he was a man dressed as a woman, he will send his head flying—— with a gulp, he quickly thought of some excuse and said, " Its ...It’s just that the Queen is so beautiful that despite being a woman, I can’t help but feel attracted to her."

Cassius: "....." Too embarrassing, why not just say that ’ I am salivating over your wife, you idiot! Dumbass!’
