The maid looked at her with a confused expression before she laughed out loud and said, " Plant? Of course not, your majesty." She politely bowed as she pointed at the mud-like substance and carefully explained, " That is a traditional method of lowering the body temperature from where I come from, I saw that the first consort was really surprised by the sudden spike in your temperature that’s why I volunteered to take care of your fever. We have lost more than half of our accommodations that’s why I had no other choice but to use this method or else you would have burned out because of the fever."

Of course, Bree understood this as well but she really couldn’t bear the smell that was coming from this traditional method. She tried to regulate her breathing as she said, " Thank you but if you don’t mind will you fill that tub as quickly as you want? I want to take a bath, the smell is quite——"

" Unbearable?" The maid helpfully said with a smile. " Don’t worry your majesty though it smells really bad, you can rest assured that it’s quite effective, as for bathing water, would you mind waiting a little? The knights are boiling the water, I will bring it in a little while."

Bree could, of course, do nothing but wait or else she would look unreasonable after all they all were attacked a few hours ago, they have lost a lot of supplies but even then somehow the knights and maids whom she brought with her were trying their best to make do with the minimal supplies that they could find. "It’s all right, I will wait for the water to boil and in case you all need the warm water for something more important, then you can use it."

The maid showed a slightly surprised expression but she still bowed her head slightly and said, " As you say your majesty."

After saying so, she retreated out of the tent, seeing her walk out Bree wanted to go out of the tent and see what was going on as well but when she looked down at her clothes that were almost burnt to a crisp with several holes poking here and there, she could only sit tight and wait for the water to be delivered. She thought that it would take the maid quite some time to bring the hot water but surprisingly the maid worked really fast, within a span of five minutes she returned while carrying the hot water in one hand and the cold water in another. Bree got up from her bed and took the bucket from the tiny maid who was sweating a bit too hard after bringing the water to her tent, " You could have asked someone to help you in bringing the water, there was no need for you to do it by yourself."

"It’s nothing your majesty, everyone is busy with one thing or another," said the maid with a bright smile. " Lady Agard is busy treating the ones who got hurt during the attack and the other omegas are busy cleaning the wild boar that the knights caught for dinner, as for the other maids they are trying to look for some edible wild vegetables in the forest, we have a lot of injured and some are suffering from fever, that’s why just that little bit of boar meat won’t work, since I can’t hunt or look for edible fruits and mushrooms, this is the least I can do." More importantly, that woman’s vulture was still flying over the caravan, he was worried that if he was to stay out for long, the woman would surely find him.

When she put it like this, there was nothing Bree could say, she poured the water inside the tub that the maid has earlier pushed into the tent and said, " By the way, what’s your name?"

The maid blinked her eyes before she lowered her head and answered, "It’s Cassidy, your majesty."

" Cassidy?" Was there a maid with this name in the caravan list? Bree was a bit surprised having never heard the name of a maid with the name Cassidy in the end however she threw it at the back of her head. Maybe there was indeed a maid with this name, it’s not like she was going to remember the maid of every maid. " I see, Cassidy can you help me with the strings on the back?"

" The ..what?" Cassidy stared at Bree as she looked at the tied strings at the back of the dress that Bree was wearing.

Bree turned to look at Cassidy a bit surprised that she looked a little stunned as if she couldn’t believe that Bree was asking her to untie her strings. " The strings, Cassidy..help me with the strings." It wasn’t that she wanted anyone to help her while she was taking her clothes off, but there was no other way for her to take the dress off her body. The strings behind the gown were something that she has always struggled with, what was more... this time maybe because she didn’t take the head maid’s advice, the strings were tied so tightly that she was sure that she needed a pair of tongs and shears to take the dress off, the old woman seriously took all her anger out on the poor strings didn’t see?

" I ..." sweat started to coat Cassius’s forehead, even though he was in the get-up of a woman, on the inside he was a man! A pure steel man, how can he help a woman who was neither his wife nor lover to take off her clothes? However, if he doesn’t help Bree then he will be attracting unnecessary attention to himself. With a huge gulp, he walked forward and with trembling fingers, he tugged on the bottom of the dress where the strings were tied. It’s all right, he will run away as soon as the strings were untied, without seeing anything but just as he tugged on the string with his eyes closed he realised that the knot was fucking tight!
