" I know, I was there when he did that," said Cian with a sour expression on his face. " But I would have rather believed that he was dead after doing that big hoo-hah."

A Year ago after Prince Leon was publicly executed, Semel as his loyal commander appeared on the Execution ground with a bunch of magic bombs tied to his body. He crazily waved those bombs around as he swore that he will revive Prince Leon and his movement and dethrone the Dragon Queen from the throne that didn’t belong to her after swearing he activated the magic bombs before taking out almost half of the execution grounds. " I can’t believe that he managed to stay alive despite that big explosion."

" He must have grasped an escape route for himself," said Dominic wisely. " Semel was crazy but he wasn’t suicidal, yes he loved Prince Leon a bit too much to the point that he would throw his entire family down the dungeon but he wasn’t a fool, stupid enough to kill himself. And everyone knows that he only supported the prince this much because he saw himself in him."

Semel was an illegitimate son born of the Duke of Parsons, though he and his mother were given a small space in the house of the Parson family, many believed that he and his mother was maltreated by the mistress of the Parson family and her sons. And what was even worse Semel’s animal was a falcon, unlike his brothers who were royal lion shifters, he was born with a spirit animal of a falcon and was often looked down on because of his weak bird. The falcon shifters were often used in the royal army and they were indeed treated with respect but compared to majestic lion shifters they were far behind, his falcon was seen as a weakness and even the Duke sort of abandoned him, once the Duke turned his back on him...Semel’s mother too turned her back on him and ran away with a stable boy in the manor of the Duke.

Every time someone hurt him, weird marks would be found in front of their rooms or house after that mark was found nothing would happen for three days but on the fourth day, there will be corpses of animals, birds would be found outside their rooms, on the fifth day, they will get caught in an accident, on the sixth they will be seriously injured and on the seventh, the person who hurt Semel would die in a gruesome way. Everyone in the Parson territory knew that Parson was behind these things but no one was able to prove anything.

And later on, after he joined Prince Leon’s section and after that he was untouchable, he will run illegal auctions house and shifter butcher houses, where he will hire kidnappers to bring shifters of all kinds and either sell them as a slave, a blood resource or their flesh to their predators to eat.

Many thought that he died on the day of the explosion but if what Andrew said was true then Semel was alive and very much active in the shadows.

Because when the fire was put out after the explosion, no one was able to detect which corpse was his. The bodies were so badly burned that they couldn’t even make whether it was a man or female, so it was impossible for them to know whether one of the dead was Semel or not.

Cian licked the front of his teeth. " This is not going to be fun if Semel is the one who is behind it. I hardly see these auctions being put on hold."

" Of course, they won’t be put on hold," said Claus climbing out of the dungeon after them. " Have you forgotten what he did to his family when Prince Leon’s forces were on upsurge? He killed them after three nights and four days of torture before turning them upside down and hanged their bodies on the wall of the Empire. I don’t think that a man capable of killing his family so brutally will be compassionate enough to care about children and women, and if the blood of those innocent creatures brings him the feeling of ecstasy of the so called revival then I am sure he will continue with his auctions as long as he can. He was never right in the head anyway, remember the one time he submitted the memorandum to make the hunting of half shifters and centaurs legal?"

" I do," said Cian, he was present in the court when Semel was asked to explain his motive behind his application by the Queen. Even now Cian couldn’t forget the wild glint in Semel’s eyes as he excitedly talked about the killings of the half shifters, those eyes weren’t an eye of a psychopath, they were the eyes of a shifter who had gone to the mania of beast.
