Chapter 115: Gravity Manipulation Skill

After having dinner together, Agares—disguised as Rey—stepped outside in his black suit. He walked along the city streets with Milenia, heading to one place: Merchant Lo.

At the very least, to make himself fly, Agares had to make sure he’d reached the Noble stage.

The EXP he got from killing the Fire Dragon wasn’t quite enough to push him straight to that noble stage.

So, Agares had to buy an EXP Elixir to get that extra EXP.

Along the way to the merchant shop, the men—clearly adventurers from the surface—kept glancing at Agares and Milenia.

They all knew who the girl was, but the guy she was holding onto so sweetly? Total stranger.

"Damn! He’s so lucky to get that woman."

"But don’t even think about messing with him. He beat a Warpriest with just one hand."

"What? Warpriests are known for their physical endurance. His strength must be terrifying."

Milenia chuckled softly while occasionally closing her eyes. Even though they were focused on getting to the shop, she couldn’t ignore the gossip around them.

"Looks like you’re starting to get noticed—and hated—by them," said Milenia.

’Long before them, I was already hated by many.’

The woman beside Agares smiled and nodded. No denying that Agares was a wanted man by almost everyone, but since the news of his death spread like a plague, maybe soon people would forget about him.

From afar, they saw a long line stretching in front of Lo’s shop—at least seven adventurers were standing, waiting for their turn to shop. Agares sighed.

"Lots of adventurers lately," Agares said.

"Yeah, I don’t know why, but they’re showing up in crowds."

Agares and Milenia joined the line. They waited quite a while as the adventurers ahead bought the items they needed, and finally, it was their turn. Agares and Milenia stood tall in front of the shop.

Lo clapped his hands and smiled, welcoming his number one customer in the city—Milenia.

He was also excited to hear about Milenia’s pregnancy from the man standing beside her, even though Lo had no idea who he was.

"I’ll be the first to bring a gift on the day your baby is born!" Lo said excitedly.

"Thank you, Lo."

"So, did you come here for something specific?"

Milenia cleared her throat and nodded. She clearly stated she needed a high-quality EXP Elixir for Rey. Not low or mid quality, but the good stuff. It was to help Agares level up fast.

Looking at how much EXP Agares had, he needed at least 10,000 more to break through the 500,000 total mark. That way, his stage would go from Officer to Noble.

Lo nodded. He opened a panel page and looked through it carefully. The merchant confirmed that he had at least 25 high-quality EXP Elixirs.

Milenia smiled and nodded in agreement. One high-quality EXP Elixir was more than enough to give Agares the EXP he needed.

[Payment Successful]

[Item: Elixir EXP High || 1x || 500 Monster Core]

[Total: 500 Monster Core]

Merchant Lo handed over the elixir, and Agares handed over 500 monster cores as payment. Agares took the Elixir EXP and held it in his hand.

"Do you want to buy anything else?"

Agares silently shook his head. Nothing else he needed. One EXP Elixir was more than enough.

He and Milenia walked away, leaving the shop behind and letting the adventurers in line step up to buy from Lo.

"Aren’t you going to drink it now?" Milenia asked.

"No. A stage-up might look a little too flashy for them. Better if I drink it once I’m home."

"Alright."

They kept walking home, still ignoring the stares from the adventurers curious about Rey and Milenia.

Once they arrived at Milenia’s home that night, nothing bad had happened. That was a relief. Agares honestly thought those barbaric people would attack Milenia for going out.

Agares went straight to the backyard. There, he saw no one—it was just him. Milenia joined him, sitting in a small pavilion.

He opened the EXP Elixir and drank it quickly. Slowly, a bright light started glowing around Agares’ body, a sign of new power flowing in and filling his EXP bar. He felt genuinely happy.

Agares smiled. That was a massive upgrade, happening exactly when he reached the next stage and level. One of the passive skills that came with being a Noble stage knight was gravity manipulation.

He had no idea what that ability actually was. So, he asked Milenia directly, since she was at the same stage as him.

Instead of giving a detailed explanation, Milenia raised her hand and pointed it forward. Agares saw her gesture—it looked like she was pushing against something.

And sure enough! Agares immediately dropped to his knees, powerless, crushed by a huge invisible pressure on his head and body.

The weight triggered a fear effect in him, and all his attention snapped to Milenia.

"This is gravity manipulation."

"Not only can Noble-stage knights fly, but they can also do this. Though, since it eats up a lot of mana, they rarely use it."

Milenia waved her hand to the side, releasing the gravity pressure on Agares. He let out a relieved breath, slowly recovering his strength and shaking off the fear in his chest.

Agares looked at his hands.

’I didn’t expect a passive ability like this to be this useful.’

He raised one hand toward Milenia. She smiled, realizing he was going to try the gravity pressure on her. But his hand stopped in mid-air—he decided not to go through with it.

Milenia was stunned, unsure why Agares stopped.

"Why?"

"You’re pregnant. I don’t want to put pressure on your body—or our baby."

Milenia’s heart melted. She had chosen the right person. The man in front of her was the one she wanted to share her life with.

She stepped forward and hugged Agares tightly, burying her tearful smile into his chest, thankful for everything she now had.

"As long as you’re here, I don’t need anything else."

Agares smiled and agreed. He said the same thing—he would stay by her side no matter the risk.

Milenia and Agares smiled, eyes locked with each other, and that night, they kissed tenderly with no one around to witness it.

That night, the silence faded—replaced by their warmth. Agares and Milenia became inseparable.

They agreed to continue their training tomorrow. Agares didn’t mind. After all, he had already leveled up and reached a new stage.

Now, he just needed to practice balancing himself in the air using gravity manipulation.
