Chapter 111: Ultimate Saber Skill: Nihil Severance
"Saber Skill: Shadow Clone!"
Agares created a clone of himself by separating the dark energy from his body. The clone, identical to the previous one, appeared kneeling, then stood tall, facing the giant red dragon monster.
The clone turned and saw his original body wounded and looking messed up, not like usual. He guessed that the monster Agares was fighting was something completely new.
"You know I can’t fight to help you—not right now."
"I know," Agares replied.
He turned briefly to look behind him. Aoi was still lying there, weak and bleeding in several parts of her body.
Agares didn’t want Aoi to be involved in this battle, but he also couldn’t protect her while he was fighting.
Summoning the clone was a temporary move to get Aoi to safety, even though Agares knew the clone couldn’t fight or protect her.
But it was still better for Aoi—since the teleportation token couldn’t be used once the boss room was active.
Agares took out two HP potions and handed them to the clone. The clone knew exactly what to do.
He carried Aoi carefully, avoiding the flames bursting from the ground. The only safe place for them was the front of the hallway.
Two potion bottles were opened. The clone gave them to Aoi one by one, slowly. A green light briefly shined over Aoi’s body, a sign that the HP potion was working well.
Seeing the good response, the clone used the second potion until it was empty. Slowly, Aoi opened her eyes and saw Agares in front of her.
"Master...?"
"I’m just a clone."
"Your master is over there," the clone said, turning.
Aoi also turned and saw Agares still in the middle of battle, launching slashing shadow attacks at the dragon monster.
The attacks worked, but the damage wasn’t significant. If Agares kept using that skill too often, it would only make things worse.
The red dragon let out a loud roar and stomped all four of its legs into the ground, creating strong tremors that knocked Agares off balance.
Out of nowhere, the dragon’s tail swung from left to right and struck Agares directly. He was flung backward and slammed into the wall, creating a round dent in the wall of the boss room.
Another damage panel popped up in front of him.
[-4000dmg]
[HP: 2050/12350] [-4000]
[Host HP is in critical condition!]
[Please recover fully now!]
"Master Agares!" Aoi screamed, feeling heartbroken seeing him suffer.
She kept struggling, wanting to go help him. But the clone had strict orders to protect her. He couldn’t let his original body’s command fail—it could lead to all of them dying.
COUGH!
Agares stood up slowly, staggering. His vision was blurry, and blood kept dripping from his mouth.
This was the moment his life was truly in danger again—just like back when Milenia was involved. He didn’t expect this monster to have 15,000 total HP.
From all the attacks he had landed, Agares had only managed to bring it down by 3,000 HP.
Besides the huge gap in strength, the dragon’s thick red scales acted like an impenetrable wall.
Still, Agares stood back up and raised his sword. He held it with both hands, his eyes now locked forward with clear focus.
The dragon kept roaring and began to fly, this time charging toward Agares, sensing it was being threatened.
"Agares!" Aoi shouted.
"Saber Skill: Nihil Severance!"
Dark energy across Agares’s body was pulled into Shadepiercer. The sword slipped from Agares’s grip and floated in the air.
He let it go—he had already activated the skill, spending 5000 of his Mana.
The sword shot upward and pierced the ceiling of the boss room, making the dragon stop its attack. Agares and Aoi both looked in the same direction, watching the power of Nihil Severance.
In a flash, the entire ceiling of the boss room collapsed, revealing a wide space full of stars—like outer space.
Agares gasped, eyes wide in shock. He had never imagined the skill’s AoE (area of effect) would be this massive.
’I didn’t know this skill was so terrifying!’
The dragon roared loudly—but not at Agares. It roared upward, toward the dimensional portal.
Agares squinted to see what was really happening up there.
A massive black shadow appeared. It wore a long dark robe and had bat-like wings.
Its figure looked exactly like the god of darkness who always showed up in Agares’s skills.
The god’s hand stretched forward. His palm opened, and a red thread appeared from his index finger, pointing toward the dragon’s forehead.
He grabbed the thread and forcefully pulled it from the dragon’s body.
The dragon let out a huge roar as its soul was ripped away by the power of Nihil Severance.
Agares and the others could clearly see the moment the dragon’s red soul floated out, following the thread of life.
The god of darkness held the soul and turned it into a glowing sphere. He threw the sphere behind him, where it disappeared into the endless void of the sky dimension.
That was Nihil Severance.
[+50,000dmg]
[Erase Existence Activated]
[Dimensional Pressure Activated]
[Instant Kill Activated]
[Anti-Resurrection Activated]
The execution was complete. The ceiling of the boss room returned to normal.
Agares’s sword fell from the ceiling and landed on the ground.
He reached out his hand and picked it up.
"I didn’t expect the damage to hit 50,000."
"But it cost me 5000 Mana, and its cooldown is pretty long."
Even though Agares had used the skill and trapped the dragon’s soul in the Nihil Severance dimension, the monster’s body was still there in the middle of the room—upright, staring upward with hollow black eyes.

"Just a little more until I become a noble-class knight."
Agares collapsed to the ground, exhausted. Aoi saw clearly how weak he looked.
She quickly ran over to him, crying loudly out of fear she might lose him.
"I’m sorry I made you worry, Aoi."
"Can you help me for a bit?"
"Of course. I’ll heal you."
