Chapter 743: Chapter 743 Too Deep Hearted_1

Bo Jingyan gave the chief physician a deep look, seeming to believe him, and did not continue to inquire.

He said lightly, "We haven’t discussed anything you can’t overhear."

Seeing this, the chief physician sighed with relief.

The pressure from Mr. Bo was too intense, if he kept probing further, he wasn’t sure if he could maintain his composure, if he could stop any slip-ups from showing.

Luckily, he didn’t keep probing.

Bo Jingyan took a step back, clearing the way for him to enter the ward, and said, "Aren’t you here to visit the patient? You can also check on my mother and see how her condition is."

The chief physician felt the urge to flee.

But Bo Jingyan was staring at him, running away would only imply guilt.

So, even if he didn’t want to, he didn’t dare play any tricks, he feigned indifference and said, "Sure, I’ll check up on Mrs. Bo now."

The chief physician then walked straight into the ward.

He had no intention of genuinely examining Mrs. Bo, instead, he quickly muttered, "Mrs. Bo’s condition is still stable, after a few more days of recuperation, she can start the make-up. Currently, Mrs. Bo’s cancer cells have only recurred and have not started spreading. So, after a few more chemotherapy sessions, she should be able to recover."

Bo Jingyan nodded, then as if contemplating something, he said, "This hospital is the best private hospital in A City, charging much higher fees than public ones, so there shouldn’t be any misdiagnoses, right?"

The chief physician felt on edge, sensing an underlying meaning to Bo Jingyan’s words.

But faced with probing, he couldn’t do anything but insist, "Of course not!"

"Good." A cruel smile surfaced on Bo Jingyan’s face, "Since there are no misdiagnoses, if my mother’s condition differs from your diagnosis, it means you’re deliberately deceiving me."

"The one thing I, Bo Jingyan, hate the most is deception. If you dare deceive me, I guarantee you will wish for death!"

While speaking, he walked over to the doctor and patted him on the shoulder.

Though he patted lightly, it felt like a hammer to the doctor, almost making him kneel. Thankfully, he merely stumbled and did not fall.

"Mr. Bo, even if you gave me the courage, I wouldn’t dare deceive you." He wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, forcing a flattery smile.

"I hope so." Bo Jingyan withdrew his hand.

The physician dared not be in the same room as Bo Jingyan any longer, fearful he would spill something incriminating in a slip-up.

If he did, he would surely be doomed!

Thus, he promptly excused himself, "I have other patients to visit, so I won’t disturb you further."

Bo Jingyan did not stop him.

The physician quickly exited Mrs. Bo’s ward.

Bo Jingyan addressed the TCM doctor, "Dr. Gu, thank you for your efforts. I will send you back to your hotel for rest. If necessary, I might need to trouble you to visit the hospital again to examine my mother’s condition and find out who’s orchestrating this."

Dr. Gu stroked his beard, looked wise and said, "Doctors are like parents of patients, I will cooperate as much as I can."

After their discussion, Bo Jingyan said to his mother, "I’ll send Dr. Gu back to his hotel, you rest well. If all goes well, you should not need to come to the hospital again in a few days."

His mother nodded soberly.

Obviously, she was still overwhelmed by the series of events, unsure whether she should believe the doctor or Dr. Gu.

In a show of sincerity, Bo Jingyan personally sent the old TCM doctor back to his hotel before returning to the hospital.

Once back in the hospital, he didn’t go straight to his mother’s ward, instead he went to the maternity ward to see Xia Qingtian, who was still in Cheng Bingbing’s room.

Seeing Xia Qingtian, he asked with a touch of concern, "Did you get bored waiting?"

"No, I wasn’t bored at all." Xia Qingtian shook her head.

She was being sincere. She was alone in the ward, but she was constantly on the phone with Bo Jingyan. She was not physically present in Mrs. Bo’s ward, but she was fully informed about everything, so she didn’t feel bored.

Bo Jingyan hugged her into his arms, not saying another word.

Xia Qingtian could sense the emotions welling up in his chest, so she didn’t resist, she wrapped her arms around his waist, and buried her face in his chest.

The two people embraced for a while, neither uttering a word.

Xia Qingtian could feel Bo Jingyan’s emotions, and when he seemed to have calmed down a little, she couldn’t help asking, "Is the TCM doctor’s diagnosis accurate?"

The TCM doctor was invited by Bo Jingyan after a lot of time and effort, so he must be reliable.

Even if he couldn’t cure Mrs. Bo’s illness, he surely wouldn’t be wrong about whether she was seriously ill or not.

Deep down, he believed in his chosen TCM doctor, but rational thinking reminded him that it was better to have a detailed examination by other specialists and decide who to trust later.

After all, his mother’s life was at stake.

Bo Jingyan said to Xia Qingtian, "I will contact some other experts for a consultation, and perform a detailed examination. We can know the result by then."

"If the TCM doctor is right, why would he tamper with your mother’s medical condition? He has no grudge against your mother." Xia Qingtian frowned and murmured.

A gloom flashed in Bo Jingyan’s eyes, "That depends on who benefits from this."

A name floated into Xia Qingtian’s mind — Shi Qian!

Shi Qian was the biggest beneficiary.

They were on the verge of reconciling due to Mrs. Bo’s illness, but ended up further apart, even reaching the point of divorce, and as for Shi Qian...

She was already being suppressed by Bo Jingyan and even Mrs. Bo’s pleas fell on deaf ears.

But since Mrs. Bo fell ill and couldn’t be stressed, Bo Jingyan had to comply with her. How many benefits did Shi Qian obtain? What good resources did she get?

So, if the TCM doctor was right and Mrs. Bo wasn’t ill, then conspiring with the chief physician to fake Mrs. Bo’s illness would definitely be related to Shi Qian.

Thinking about the possibility of all this being orchestrated by Shi Qian, Xia Qingtian felt a cold shiver. Shi Qian was too cunning, willing to do anything to achieve her goals.
