Shi Qian, recalling the dialogue between Xia Qingtian and Bo Jingyan, found it suspicious.

She couldn’t help probing, "By the way, Brother Jingyan, what were you talking about with Qingtian just now? What answer did you need from her?"

Bo Jingyan coldly replied, "If it’s none of your business, don’t ask!"

Bingbing told him, "I wanted to let you know that some big shot is visiting the set today and there’s going to be a dinner tonight with the cast, so we’ll finish shooting early. By the time you get here with Ice Cream, we should be done."

"Won’t you be coming back very late tonight?" Huo Qilin felt slightly disappointed.

"Not necessarily." Bingbing said, "You know me, I’m not into socializing and would rather keep to myself, so I’ll probably make a brief appearance and then leave early."

After she was tricked by Shi Qian at the Golden Chicken Awards, Bingbing had become wary of such events and had lost all interest in social gatherings.

When Huo Qilin heard she’d be back early, he dropped the idea of visiting her on set and instead offered to pick her up, "What time do you think you’ll be finished? I’ll come to pick you up."

"No need." Bingbing was certain.

Huo Qilin could tell from her tone that she genuinely didn’t need a ride, it wasn’t just a polite refusal.

Though he agreed reluctantly, Huo Qilin was still a little worried, "Then come back early, and call me if anything comes up."

"Ok, I got it." Cheng Bingbing promised.

With all said and done, Huo Qilin should’ve hung up, but for some reason, he didn’t. He wanted to listen to Bingbing’s voice a bit longer.

Even if it meant engaging in pointless chatter.

"Bingbing, are you done with your break yet? The director is about to start shooting the next scene."
