Before she left, Huo Qilin’s album was still in the promotion phase, but upon her return, it was about to be released.

And then, she linked arms with Cheng Bingbing, heading into the company, chatting as they walked, "What about you? How are things going between you and Huo Qilin?"

Thankfully, being an experienced agent, Xia Qingtian easily managed the workload and didn’t find it stressful.

With her mind at ease, she immersed herself in work.

It was not until a knock on the door interrupted her thoughts that she lifted her gaze from the pile of documents.

She rubbed her temples, which had become somewhat sore due to work, and invited whoever was outside to come in.

Very soon, the office door was pushed open, and someone walked in.

Upon spotting the visitor, a smile appeared on Xia Qingtian’s face, "Qilin, have a seat..."

Huo Qilin sat down directly in her office.

Xia Qingtian got up to make a latte coffee for him—a drink he liked with extra milk and less sugar.

After the coffee was ready, she handed it to Huo Qilin and asked, "So, what did you need to see me about?"

Huo Qilin took a sip of the coffee. A shy smile appeared on his face, "Is it so strange that an artist would want to see his agent without a specific matter?"

She hadn’t forgotten how much Huo Qilin had helped her to feel comfortable leaving A City for B Country to look for Xia Guohua. Without his help, she would have been incredibly worried about Cheng Bingbing.

Hearing Xia Qingtian’s answer, the smile on Huo Qilin’s face turned even more sincere.

His desire grew stronger, and he wanted more.

Now, standing at a distance and watching Xia Qingtian was not enough to satisfy him.

So, seeing the intimate behavior between Xia Qingtian and Bo Jingyan, Huo Qilin lost control of his emotions and ran away like a coward.

But after a morning’s reflection, he had regained his calmness.

He couldn’t possibly tell Xia Qingtian the truth and could only find an excuse, "I was just nervous because my second album is about to be released."

Upon hearing that his answer was identical to Cheng Bingbing’s speculation, Xia Qingtian couldn’t help but laugh wryly.

"It seems that the understanding between you and Bingbing has grown exponentially..." She joked, "That’s exactly what Bingbing said when I asked her this morning."
