"Xia Qingtian, what are you trying to say?" Bo Jingyan stared intently at Xia Qingtian, his voice husky as he asked.

Xia Qingtian was unable to shake off his intense gaze, which was so fervent it looked like it could dissolve her soul.

Unable to escape, she had to explain, "This is a reward for you."

Bo Jingyan immediately understood her meaning.

Xia Qingtian did not like when he acted kindly towards her with a motive. She needed genuine, heartfelt care. As long as he was sincere, she too would act accordingly.

Upon understanding her behavior logic, Bo Jingyan chuckled lightly, a hint of mischief in his voice, "I am not fully pleased with this reward. Can I exchange it for another one?"

Xia Qingtian paused, somewhat caught off guard with his request. "What reward do you want in exchange?" she asked, going along with him.

This time, Bo Jingyan didn’t say a word, he directly expressed with his actions what the reward he wanted was.

He held the back of Xia Qingtian’s neck firmly, preventing her retreat. He then slowly moved closer to her and, in an uncompromising manner, kissed her.

He was extremely domineering, almost as if he wanted to devour her.

Xia Qingtian felt breathless from his kiss.

Just when she was about to fall due to lack of breath, Bo Jingyan finally decided to let her go mercifully. But he followed it up with a meaningful remark, "It seems we need to practice more in the future."

What exactly he wanted to practice more was self-evident, considering Xia Qingtian was gasping for breath, clutching her chest.

It took Xia Qingtian a moment to recover.

Unable to help herself, she shot Bo Jingyan a harsh glance, and gritted her teeth, "Stop pretending to be innocent after taking advantage of the situation."

Bo Jingyan did not get angry at her accusation; instead, he reminded her, "It’s time for you to go to work, or you will be late."

Xia Qingtian checked the time; indeed, they had wasted a bit too much time.

She had to hurry to the company, so she brushed off the disagreement with Bo Jingyan.

However, just as she turned around to leave and had taken only a few steps, Bo Jingyan stopped her abruptly, "Wait."

Even though she didn’t turn around, her steps involuntarily paused.

"I’ll pick you up after work." Bo Jingyan’s voice came over.

Xia Qingtian immediately turned around to refuse.

But all she saw was a faint glint of mischief in Bo Jingyan’s deep eyes. He quickly rolled up the car window, waved her goodbye, and drove off.

As she stood there watching his car disappear, Xia Qingtian pondered over the look in Bo Jingyan’s eyes earlier. She felt that his words weren’t as simple as they appeared.

He must want more rewards!

With that thought, Xia Qingtian subconsciously touched her slightly numbed kissed lips, her face breaking into an involuntary smile.

She wasn’t resistant to the kiss.

In fact, it faintly transported her back to the time before Bo Jingyan lost his memory.

The old Bo Jingyan was just as dominating and unreasonable.

After standing on the spot for a while longer, Xia Qingtian, realizing that she still had to get to work, cast aside the chaos in her head, and started walking towards the company.

After only a couple steps, she saw two people standing at the entrance of the company.

They were Huo Qilin and Cheng Bingbing.

It had been a while since she had seen them, and she missed them. Thus, she quickened her steps to meet them, "What brings you two here?"

Huo Qilin was silent, seeming somewhat absent-minded.

Cheng Bingbing gave him a significant look before turning to answer Xia Qingtian, "Qilin and I had some business at the company. On our way, we noticed someone who looked like you, so we decided to take a closer look."

Xia Qingtian took a good look at Cheng Bingbing.

She looked different from before, less devastated. Even though she hadn’t fully regained her radiant confidence, her face was flushed and she had lost some weight, which made her features more striking and her beauty more apparent.

Xia Qingtian was momentarily stunned by her transformation, her voice cautious with anticipation as she asked, "Are you okay now?"

Despite Cheng Bingbing looking fine, remembering how broken she seemed before, Xia Qingtian was still a bit worried that she might be faking her cheerfulness.

"I’m fine now." Cheng Bingbing replied, smiling, "Qilin took good care of me and encouraged me a lot over this time."

While speaking, she subconsciously glanced at Huo Qilin.

Seeing her look at Qilin, Xia Qingtian immediately knew she didn’t need to ask or probe further.

Because she knew Cheng Bingbing had indeed moved on.

In Cheng Bingbing’s smile, there was warmth and when she looked at Huo Qilin, there was light in her eyes. Her smile was cheerful, her eyes bright.

With these signs, how could she still be mired in sorrow?

It seemed that her decision to entrust Cheng Bingbing to Huo Qilin before going to B Country was a wise one.

Huo Qilin had taken excellent care of Cheng Bingbing; Xia Qingtian doubted if she could have helped Cheng Bingbing recover as quickly.

With this realization, Xia Qingtian looked at Huo Qilin and said, "Mr. Huo Qilin, it seems like I owe you a big favor. But don’t worry, I brought you a gift."

"Thank you." Huo Qilin forced a smile and as if remembering something, he said, "I must go; there’s some important work waiting for me. I’ll catch up with you later."

Finishing his sentence, without waiting for Xia Qingtian’s response, he turned and left.

He moved so quickly as though being pursued by a ferocious beast.

In the blink of an eye, Huo Qilin’s figure had disappeared from Xia Qingtian’s sight.

"What’s wrong with Huo Qilin?" Xia Qingtian turned to Cheng Bingbing, puzzled, "Is there something bothering him at work? Or did someone upset him?"

"No." Cheng Bingbing shook her head, "Right before we arrived, we even had a meal together. He was in a good mood and even had two bowls of rice."

"Then what’s wrong with him?" Xia Qingtian furrowed her brows, murmuring confusedly, "He really does seem upset."

Cheng Bingbing fell silent for a moment.

She thought about how Huo Qilin had started acting strangely after seeing Xia Qingtian.

Could it be because he didn’t want to see Xia Qingtian?

Impossible!

Cheng Bingbing quickly dismissed the idea.

Because before Xia Qingtian’s return, Huo Qilin had often spoken about her and had frequently sent messages asking when she was coming back. In fact, whenever Xia Qingtian didn’t respond immediately due to being busy, he’d ask Cheng Bingbing to do it for him.
