Chapter 340: Desolate Labyrinth (2)
[Ice Ship]
Thalassa bowed her head and fixed the hemp cloth covering her right hand before saying with an amiable smile, "My apologies."
Thalassa?
"Where have you been?" Shana asked as her eyes secretly roamed on Thalassa’s body and stopped at the hemp cloth.
Thalassa sensed Shana’s eyes on the hemp. Her lips parted and answered Shana’s question slowly and without a hint of nervousness, "It’s my first time outside. I was holed up inside a room for years and I wanted to take a look and decided to roam around. Is there anything wrong?"
Shana’s nostrils moved, "I could smell an acrid scent off you." The smell similar to those lava golems would emit. She lifted left hand and moved it towards the hemp wanting to see what this nymph was hiding.
Thalassa’s eyes became a bit sharper noticing Shana’s attempting to remove the hemp and her left hand slowly moved behind her and water droplets gathered on the palm.
But before Shana’s hand could touch her aim, a nymph came behind and anxiously said, "Shana, the Priestess called for you. They found King Nemphim’s body."
Both Shana and Thalassa whipped their heads towards the source of the sound.
"What?" Overwhelmed by the magnitude of the news, Shana forgot about the hemp and quickly followed the nymph to the deck.
While Thalassa was left on the spot and mumbled with indescribable gleam flickered in her eyes, "King Nephim’s Body?"
Thalassa climbed to the upper decks and saw the nymphs crowding around. Their faces were solemn. Thalassa slowly approached and squeezed in, allowing her to see the body being carried.
It’s indeed King Nephim. Her lips tilted upwards.

Ownership of the Trident?
"No need Grandpa. Chef Long’s mission is done. I was planning to return it to you. Or do you want me to make you a grave where I could lay the trident and burn you some paper money or do you want to hand the trident over to the nymphs?"
"What do you mean? What mission?" That’s a mythical grade weapon. Doesn’t she know the value of it? It may not be the highest grade out there in the galaxy, but it still valuable enough but this brat didn’t show any greed and gave up just like that.
Then if that’s the case why did she get all the trouble in trying to get the trident in the first place.
Chunhua revealed her and Chef Long’s identity as players and how they were forced to complete mission in order to get back to the main world or else they will be stuck in this special realm forever.
And Chunhua was surprised that the system didn’t put a ban on her when revealing things to the old man.
Grandpa Trident processed her words. Being sealed for a blurred a large chuck of his memories so it took him a while to understand and when he did, he was anxious because if that is the case, this brat can leave this place anytime once the man completed his mission. She doesn’t have to worry about that nether flame old witch to hunt her down for roasting her child.
Grandpa Trident showed a mournful look which only stayed for briefly because the brat said something that wiped the burdensome thought on his mind.
"Rest assured Grandpa. Even without the trident I will still help you seal it. My conscience cannot bear to leave the nymphs with a huge danger around especially if I knew I can do something for them." Chunhua said so quickly after noticing Grandpa’s frowning.
The stone pressing on Grandpa Trident’s heart disappeared and his expression eased. This girl who knows sealing arrays and was the only one able to see him is his only hope, so if she refused then he doesn’t know what else to do.
Chunhua took the chance to ask about another thing, "Grandpa is your name Triton?"
Triton was surprised.
"How did you know? Did you heard about my sea heroic adventures-" Triton beamed a proud smile and rubbed his beard ready to tell his tales of vanquishing evil creatures and in his youth, he was very handsome fellow and once was the source envy of males from across the galaxy because females would flock to him wherever he goes. So thinking about it, he shouldn’t be surprised.
The smile in his face deepened.
But Chunhua’s reply burst Triton’s narcissistic expectations. "My appraisal skill told me."
Triton: "..." Never mind, their world may not be that updated or advance to know his name. Triton reasoned out in his mind to save his ego.
Haoran turned around and his eyes filled with deep scrutiny inspected the surroundings of another living person but there was none prompting to question the girl, "Xiao Hua, who are you talking to?"
Chunhua only realized that she had forgotten to tell about Grandpa Triton’s existence to Chef Long. Chef Long must have though she was crazy seconds ago, talking to herself.
Don’t mention about the three gluttons, they were only concentrated on their food.
"It’s Grandpa Triton, the owner of the trident. For some reason, he became a weapon spirit." Chunhua explained.
"A weapon spirit?" It was the first time Haoran heard of that term.
"Ah, a weapon spirit is a spirit that is sealed inside a weapon." Chunhua elaborated.
The bangle: Master, you didn’t explain anything at all.
Chunhua: How so? What I said is right...and concise.
Truthfully what the bangle speculated was right, Haoran was still confused. Nevertheless, he caught on one thing. The spirit was able to converse with her and it was an old man.
Weapon Spirit. It seems he had another thing to write on his notebook.
The trip towards their destination was still long.
"Chef Long, what is good for baby birds to eat?" Chunhua looked at Little Noodle that was staring at the three gluttons eating meals with unconcealed longing, a tiny drool dribbled from the side of its beak.
"Chirp Chirp." The little phoenix chick flapped its wings and began pecking and scratching Chunhua’s palms and when it couldn’t find anything, it tried to fly towards the three but Chunhua caught it.
