Chapter 323: Unexpected Discovery (4)

Shivani was on her way to decks from inspecting the new research room, when she heard noises coming from the storage room. She entered the room and saw her Sister Shillo and Shana was assuming the posture as if they were ready to fight and their hands were earthen bowls.

"That is mine, Shana give it back." Shillo tried to take the bowl away from Shana.

Shana quickly stretched the bowl out of Shillo’s reach. "I watch over you when grow up, I’m like sister to you. Learn to share good things, eh?"

"I can share anything else but not that. Give me back or we’ll have a water golem war." Shillo jumped and tried to extend her hand but due to the height difference, she wasn’t successful.

Shana quickly hugged the bowl and ran towards the exit only to found out it was blocked.

"Oh, it’s you Shivani. I didn’t notice you. How long have you been standing there?"

Shillo also stopped when she saw her Sister.

"Look at you two behaving like children. You’re the pillars of the future generations and are supposed to be examples. How long are you going behave like that?"

"It’s not you’re thinking, Sister. Shana wanted to snatch the things the Champion’s friend gave me and I just want to retrieve it." Shillo defended herself.

Shana bit her lips as she turned towards Shillo , "Hey, you already five of these and I’m just asking for one bowl. Just one bowl, don’t be too stingy."

"What one bowl? You took two! 2 of them!" There was only eight bowls and Shillo was planning to save the two for later but someone with a sharp nose smell it from a distance and decided to eat. By the time, she caught the thief, she already ate one bowl and snatched one and even initiated a chase.

Shana let out a small cough of awkwardness. The food was so good that she lost count. "Well, just two. Come on, it’s just food. It’s not like I took your precious pearls or something."

"Shana, you greedy nymph!" Shillo pointed her finger out of frustration.

"You..." Shana wanted bared her teeth.

The two glared at each other.

"That’s enough." Shillo cut off Shana and confiscated the bowls in their hand, "Unless you two reflected on your actions, I will keep these." The mouth-watering smell mixed with the steam of the still warm food drifted in Shivani’s nose. Her throat moved.

"Sister..."

"Shivani..."

The two blinked pitifully and stared at the two bowls in the priestess hands.

Shivani didn’t show mercy and returned to her room and when she reached it, she quickly looked around, before shutting the door. She placed the bowls on the table, gulping in the process.

[Braised King Eel]

Anyway, it’s just one bite. One bite. No one would notice.

She convinced herself before tasting. "What is this?" Her eyes widen as her mouth was invaded by flavors she didn’t knew before.

Shillo and Shana looked at each other. Realizing getting angry won’t do anything good, the two temporarily set aside their discontent and made a truce for the sake of the rem

"50-50 split." Shana narrowed her eyes.

"Fine." Shillo agreed. Anyway, after the Champion and her friend come back, she will exchange more for water cannons. A cunning smile spread on Shillo’s face.

The two went on to knock the door of the priestess’ room and pushed it opened and when they saw the clean bowls, they were beyond thunderstruck.

"What happened?"

Shivani replied calmly, "I accidentally spilled it."

The two looked at the stains on the priestess’ mouth and were speechless. Spilled or eaten?

Shivani noticed their heated gazes and found out she left some evidence. Coughing to hide her shame, she made a suggestion that quelled down the two’s anger, "When the Champion comes back, I will ask her companion to teach us how to make them, happy now?"

Shillo and Shana thought that the idea was feasible and nodded fiercely.

In the end, three figures newly turned foodies could be seen gazing at sea with longing waiting for Chunhua’s group.

"I’m hungry."

"Have some blessed water first." Shivani conjured water to ease her fellow foodie’s pain.

Shana spat the tasteless precious drink, "I taste nothing. When will they return?"

After collecting all the stuff, the ice ship soared to the sky and 20 minutes in mid-air, the nymphs assigned to be radars reported the sighting of multiple ships sailing.

Shivani was quickly informed and have the Ship sailed closer. Then they heard the sound of explosions. It turns out that the ship leading the front was being chased and being target cannons and got hit on the stern. Clouds of black smoke and fire sparks as the shots collided mid-air.

"Shivani, should we help?" The nymphs asked out of courtesy for the Champion who seemed to be fond of halflings.

This instantly raised an argument, "You’ll save them and after that they will turn their guns against us? Do you want to repeat the cycle and give them the opportunity to torture and kill us again?"

"That’s not what we meant."

"Then why are you asking your priestess to whether save them or not?" The nymphs happened to be on the upper decks and expressed their distaste for Shivani’s clan members’ earlier question.

Rita was among the spectators and after seeing the spectacle below, she was horrified and prevented Aqua and the others from witnessing it.

"I heard the loud noise Auntie. What is that?"

"Nothing. Go back and play first." Rita had the little kids play somewhere else. She saw that commotion but was too powerless to help.

"Don’t talk disrespectfully towards my tribe members." They may have the same race but Shivani will never tolerate anyone being rude towards her tribe members.

Shillo and Shana were also dissatisfied with how the other nymphs turned their anger towards someone unrelated.

The nymphs that were being scolded gave Shivani cold looks, turned around and climbed down the decks.

Her tribe members though were glad that Shivani spoke up to them.

There was another explosion and the ship was again hit. It sailing speed was slower than before.

Shivani narrowed her eyes.

Suddenly the sea once again experienced tremors and this time, it was fiercer than before.

The three quickly found shelter first until the sea was calmed again but this plan could never happened because a whirlpool formed underneath their feet looking like a blackhole.

Because of its abruptness, Haoran was caught off guard and sucked in.

"Chef Long." Chunhua chased after the man and let herself be willingly pulled to the depths.

"Boss?" The Clammy wanted to rescue the two but couldn’t pull them out on time.

Half an hour later.

A trickle of water dropped from the stone ceiling and landed on the unconscious figure’s forehead laying below the ruins.

Haoran opened his eyes, quickly spat out a mouthful of water and gasped for air. The first thing he did was called out a name, "Xiao Hua?"

When no one responded, Haoran groped around and felt dry sands and spongy texture under his palm but there was no one near him.

"Xiao Hua?" he called out again but got the same result.

Worried, he propped his arms to sit up before taking out another elliptic bead illuminating the surroundings.
