Chapter 322: Unexpected Discovery (3)

[Space Station No. 35.]

"Do you see this? I mean...seriously? Are they insane? Why are they bringing a whole fleet in here?"

"Isn’t this against Federation Laws? Are they not afraid of getting fine?"

This is clearly the sign of a mutiny. No species in entire galaxy would bring that much battleships if this was simply the matter of using visitation tokens.

"Draw the monitors closer."

"Captain, is that Halfling’s Royal Insignia?"

"It is. Why are they bringing army here?"

The ones inside the spaceships crowded in the monitoring room and everyone was looking at the countless of steampunk ships making its way on the space station.

They counted and the staggering total numbers of ships that assembled was around 400 battle ships.

For a Halfling whose of middle-race, such numbers would be the entire army.

"Is there something that we don’t know. Quickly call the upper management."

One of the operator of the capsule ships also saw the ships and suddenly had a bad feeling about this.

Suddenly, all saw a ship, the largest one and was equipped with the most advanced equipment. Small fighter ships the size of the smallest capsule came out of its rear and flew out in different directions.

"Captain, I received a message. The other side wanted to establish communication about and wished to discuss important deal."

The Captain frowned. He can’t just accept any invitations from non-affiliated species otherwise he will be charge with treason. "Tell him that he can tell in the communicator. No need to dock."

"They refused. They said it they’ll only discuss it privately."

When the Captain was still silent, his subordinate added, "They say we will regret it if we chose to turn it down."

The Captain fell in deep thought, hesitating and decided to call his superior, relaying the Halflings’ strange behavior and when he received a positive answer, the Captain let the tiny space ship landed.

The Captain’s subordinate made sure the ship was cleared of any explosives and was unarmed.

The pod of the ship opened and a halfling greeted the Captain, "Greetings, this humble one came in under the order of our King. Our King wishes for cooperation. The percentage of split will be determine by effort."

"About what?" The Captain didn’t beat around the bush and asked directly.

The Halfling representative smiled mysteriously before saying in a low voice, "Extracting the resources of the Main Game Planet."

----

The Halfling Community was a mess after Dranax’s downfall and remaining halflings were divided into camps with each vying for power.

And what’s more unfortunate was the large outbreak of the thermic fever. Without the barrier partly serving as an isolation facility against the harmful element and the main equipment supplying cool air in the healthy district in the process of being repaired, the Halfling were in no good situation.

That’s when the surviving Dean of the Hospital and main research professor became the target of the halflings. Those who’s showing symptoms pressed the two after failing to cover the news of the previous thermic fever patients recovering when they evacuated.

The Mother Halfling from 405, the previous patients and their families were also among those who had to face the pressure of the masses demanding her when they have gotten the cure.

The masses with their whole face flushed red after getting relocated were clamoring toward the group of people, forcing them in a corner, and threatening them with guns.

The Professor’s side also had some sympathizers. Some guards who sees the bigger picture defended them.

"Keep calm and let’s set up temporary clinic first and have you checked in." The Dean tried to persuade.

"How can we keep calm when we’re going to die? Just give the medicine already!"

"Yes, just give the medicine and don’t hide it!"

"My brother, my brother please, Professor, just hand the medicine over."

The crowd stepped forward making the guards released the safety pins. "Stand back and don’t come any closer."

"Professor, take the dean and the rest to the shelter. We’ll handle this." One of the guards whispered in the low voice.

"Son, I cannot do that. You’ll be put in a difficult situation."

The crowd were slightly deterred at the rows of guns at the volume of the noises were reduced.

But not all were afraid because in times of desperation, some people will do drastic measures.

A scream came from the back of the crowd.

"Some fainted!" The halflings quickly turned to see the source of commotion and found a halfling lying on the ground, with his mouth opened and cheeks sunken.

One of the Halfling in the crowd, bent his knees and checked the halfling’s breath but he stiffened once he sense nothing. "Dead...dead..."

And from that, chaos ensued.

----

Treading towards the south, the three noticed that a lot of destroyed pillars and flooring, a part of roof canopy, two-meter coral trees, and benches made of sponges on the way.

The bangle: I can sense it more.

Chunhua also agreed. The feeling had gotten much stronger.

"Clammy, have you heard yet of any clue about your two other seafood bullies?" Chunhua couldn’t help but ask which in turn caught Haoran’s attention.

"How did you subdue it?" Haoran whispered. It was kind of surprising for a monster big enough to be a three-story apartment to listen to a human, much less take orders.

"Ah, are you talking about Clammy?" Chunhua happily narrated how she gained the loyalty of underling or how her force subdued the underling. "Basically, I really didn’t do anything."

The bangle: Lies. Master, you’re too humble. You broke all its teeth and nearly broke its shell letting the poor guy see his whole life flash before his eyes.

Chunhua could detect the bangle’s sarcastic tone: Who’s side are you on?

The bangle: Of course yours Master...

Chunhua: How come I don’t feel it?

The bangle became emotional: Master, I’m loyal to you 100%. How can you have doubts? How about this, tell me anything I can do to prove my loyalty.

Chunhua was very straightforward: By eating less.

The bangle was silent for a few seconds: How about picking another one?

Chunhua: That’s your 100%?

The bangle couldn’t refute: "..."

Haoran didn’t say anything but his eyes had a trace of probing when his eyes searched for the deep marks on the Clam’s shell and found it.

If the attack was any deeper and Xiao Hua exerted more strength, this guy might not survive, proving just how much strength Xiao Hua was hiding to be able to deal that amount of damage to an exterior that’s a high chance much more durable than those golems.

"Those two guys are sleek and cunning. One day they’ll be in this location and the other they’ll be 30 miles away. But with Boss around, I’m sure we’ll find them in no time." Clammy answered

"Hold on." Chunhua stopped and glanced around. They stumbled upon a tall wall.
