Chapter 321: Unexpected Discovery (2)

The owner of the body had a blue skin. Her hair was long and the tendrils were line vines cascading her back and slightly curly. She had a glass Happy Fat Water body and she was dressed in blue victoria secret model lingerie following a blue and gold motif.

Her face had the distinct features of a human and her beauty could be classified as western version of the Legendary Pan-am, whose looks could gain him crates of fresh vegetables, fruits, and flowers in just one parade in the morning.

Both of her wrist were had a gold bracers at Epic-Grade which can only indicate her identity was not an ordinary one.

[Advance Appraisal Skill activated.]

Both Haoran and Chunhua used the skill at the same time and Chunhua was very shocked.

[King Nephim Level ??? (HP: 0/0)]

"King Nephim? Why is she here?" Chunhua was astounded.

"Boss, what did you say?"

"It’s King Nephim."Chunhua repeated.

"Woah, so I’m front of the most fearsome ruler of the sea?" Clammy was in awe at such a rare opportunity and leapfrogged closer. "Wait, isn’t King Nephim dead? That doesn’t look like a corpse."

Chunhua touched the body and found no signs of decay or being eroded by the seawater and it was soft like a gelatin. "You’re right."

King Nephim looked like she was just taking a nap. Chunhua refused to believe she’s dead but the HP bar was zero which signified that King Nephim shouldn’t be alive.

"Who is King Nephim?", Haoran didn’t share the same degree of reaction as the two because he had no idea of who this body might belonged to.

Chunhua remembered that Chef Long wasn’t updated and shared what Uncle Ron and Clammy told her before.

"If that’s the case, there is a chance that a trident must be in this room?" Haoran thought after all, weapons are closer to their owner.

"Good thinking, Chef Long."

The three left the fancy clam bed and rummaged the room but apart from few things like furniture, they failed to find it.

Now that’s left was the Throne Room and Treasury.

Haoran noticed something on the floor under the Clam Bed. He gave it a push and revealed the magic circle.

"What is this?" Chunhua traced her finger on the lines.

Haoran also inspected but they were not in any way proficient in the runes and thus could only chose to take the whole flooring with them.

As for the one who suggested it...

You know without the Author telling.

"Are you going kill me?" Nikolai had already transformed into a human form and was currently chained to the chair, cuffed at both of his wrists and a collar was placed on his neck imbued with magic-restriction, disabling prisoners from accessing their mana.

He was familiar with this collar because this was utilized by the Federation. His hunch was right, this Halfling was not from this world.

But what exactly is he going to do with that Giant?

"Killing you, a higher race would be a waste." The Halfling chuckled.

Continuing he said, "I heard a lot about your species, arrogant, unfettered, tyrant, and very powerful. Rumors had it that your blood contains a bit of your ancestors’ genes, that Victor no. 90 who specialized in stealing powers of others by blood extraction."

"After I punch a hole on that barrier and escaped this darn place, I’ll take you back to my planet and make you my blood bank." The Halfling said his plan without reservation.

Nikolai was slightly relieved that his life was safe for the meantime but there was something bothering him. "You must be out of your mind. Don’t you know who I am? If my Clan finds out about these, you’ll not escape the fate of your soul and your clan being reduced to dried corpses."

The Halfling snickered, "I don’t care one bit about your identity and you won’t have the chance the do that. That clan of mine you’re referring will disappear by tonight. Oh, I forgot to tell you, this part of the world will collapse."

Nikolai’s mind became blank.

Collapse? Then what will happen to those candidates?

Suddenly, the Halfling paused and sensed the land trembling.

There was an earthquake.

----

The Armory was also affected by the earthquake. The trio quickly went out, to find a safe place, avoiding the falling rubbles.

Chunhua didn’t forget to take King Nephim’s body.

"Boss, what are you going to do with that?" Clammy asked anxiously while escaping.

"Bring her back. At least the nymphs ought to give her a proper burial." Chunhua said before giving the body to Clammy. "I’ll leave the body to you Clammy, I’ll take it later when we go back."

Clammy didn’t want such an important thing at all but considering his Boss tendency to be violent, he acquiesced. Shaking like a leaf, he gently placed the body inside, making sure it doesn’t get even a scratch.

When the earthquake was gone, Li Chunhua felt something coming the south. Something was drawing her to that direction. It was a faint feeling but she couldn’t shake it off. The last time she experienced it is when she got lost in the mortal realm and found a stall on a secluded street selling the most delicious snacks in the whole area.

She better checked it out.

"Is there something wrong, Xiao Hua?" Haoran noticed her staring blankly.

The bangle: I sensed the faint presence of a powerful item.

Chunhua snapped out of her daze at the bangle’s hint and said to the man, "Chef Long, let’s head to the south first."

"Alright." Haoran didn’t object and obeyed her orders without question. "But if we really can’t find the trident in the next twenty minutes, we’ll look for your mission objectives instead. So you can get out of here early."

"Then, what about you? Mine don’t have a countdown while yours has. You’ll be trap here if you don’t complete it." Chunhua didn’t like that idea.

"Don’t worry about me. I can look for other ways." Long Haoran was firmed in his decision. He’d rather be trap in this world than for the end of the dream to happen.

"Chef Long, it’s really okay. We’ll finish yours first." Chunhua waved her hand, slightly smiling, never minding the work.

"No." Haoran asserted, "Twenty minutes and we’ll change the target."

Chunhua had never seen Chef Long so serious when speaking to her and the man didn’t even let her say something before grabbing her hand and swimming towards the south.

Clammy: The amount of dog food the two fed him was high as the mountain.
