Chapter 290: Going Ignitio in the Halfling City (1)
"Lad? Are you saying the truth and not pulling our legs?" An old man stammered in disbelief.
"Of course. Cui never lies. What are waiting for? The supplies we have are only a little. If you do not hurry up, it will be out of stock." Cui gave the Elf hiding in the woods an eye signal.
One of the refugees that didn’t eat since the night of the tide had more than 200 copper coins in his account. He gulped and took the lead to buy. He placed 200 copper coins. "Give 5 bottles of water, 2 loaves of bread, one noodles and cup of hot water, and two packets of biscuits."
The non-salted fishes spectators still didn’t believe them and thought it was all a prank until Cui took out the items and gave it to the man.
"That will be 198 copper coins. Here’s the change. As for the cup of hot water, please wait for a moment." Xiang’er had come along to explore and was in charge of calculating. She pushed the two copper coins back to the man.
After they were certain it was a dream or a prank, the other refugees with copper coins surrounded the table, pushing each other to side so they can line up on the front.
Seeing these, Susu and Ge’er raised their weapons. "Line up or else we won’t sell you anything."
The 47 refugees including the young male student and middle-aged healer were nervous and behaved honestly.
"Give me..."
"I want..."
Some wanted to take advantage and buy in bulks but Cui only allowed two pieces each except for the water.
The others wanted to say a few words but the Salted Fishes already incorporated violence in their genes.
All sort of weapon were raised. The players swallowed their complains.
The first customer was in a daze taking the items and copper coins into his hands. His hands tremblingly unscrewed the cap of the water bottle and finished the water in just a few seconds.
He also tore the packages of the bread and took a big bite. Because he was so hungry, the bread was gone after a few bites.
The water didn’t have the metallic taste at all and it was even better than the ones being sold expensively in the market in their previous world. The bread tasted creamy and soft. He thought that the price these young people quoted were very cheap.
Sensing numerous gazes directed at him, the man hid his supplies in his inventory and waited for the hot water.
"Here you go Uncle." Yuan’er handed the bowl of hot water with a smile.
"Thank you Miss." The uncle bowed his head and ripped the plastic before soaking the noodle in it. Even though, the temperature was hot, the Uncle sipped after putting the spices. His lips burned but his stomach was warmed.
The refugees and prisoners gulped seeing him drink.
Lifting his head to see the others eating too, he asked Yuan’er. "Miss, will you set up a stall again?"
"I don’t know but if you joined our territory, you’ll be able to eat every day." Yuan’er replied before handing a bowl filled with hot water to the next player.
[Private Cai]: What’s taking you so long to reply? Don’t you want your brother anymore?
The young male student had just gotten his share and he found a spot to sit down and eat when received the message. He gritted his teeth and looked around.
Absolutely certain that everyone’s attention was on the stall, he snuck out, and completely unaware of two pairs of eyes locked on him.
When he found a place, he opened his chat interface and typed in a message as quickly as possible.
But before he could send his reply, a force knocked him from the back of a neck, sending him to sleep.
Elga gave the Elf a sidelong glance before tying the unconscious player. "So this was your plan all along? I initially thought you became a philanthropist."
Siri’s eyes darkened. "Take care of him." He said before going back to observe the others. In the process, two more were put in the watch list after eliciting some weird behaviors.
The young male student should have less chances of getting caught if he stayed on his spot and send the message in broad daylight but it was his first time doing a sneaky bad deed so his mind was in shambles and couldn’t think straight.
In the Salted Fish, the first batch of clothe made from hemp was made. Auntie quickly sent the samples to Remi who was drown from administrative work, letting her quote the prices.

눈_눈 Motivation level is low.
The allure of the rewards were not so fragrant compared to the food. The system must have sense her dissatisfaction and revised the rewards adding a set of breakfast, planning to be a thief again to burn motivation on Li Chunhua while keeping an eye on a certain someone cooking.
"That’s more I like it!" Li Chunhua gave the system a mental thumbs up. You’re becoming more and more professional system.
Li Chunhua swam further to an area without any ship, planning to scale over the walls but the sight of the hundreds of Halflings and Golems patrolling on top of the walls carrying massive guns and portable cannons on their backs made her change her plans.
Circling around, the numbers of guards apart from the ones patrolling the grounds and entrance were around 800-1000.
[Halfling Gunners Level 75]
The highest level of Halfling she saw was 99 and he was carrying a long red staff, making her wonder what Dranax’s level is for the Halfling’s to address him as His Majesty.
[Halflings’ Pyro Cannons- Epic-Grade]
[Halflings’ Pyro Blasters- Epic-Grade]
An intimidating steel bulwark with tower sentries built every 20 meters entered her sight. In the distance, a tower with a spherical magic ball was releasing something in the air.

This fellow is really rich!
Li Chunhua looked around and thought of a way to enter without getting detected.
Since she couldn’t go through the front and above then why not go under?
As the saying of the professional mole goes, ’There is no place I cannot dig!’
(.^▽^)Breakfast, here I come.
A few minutes later, at the back of two buildings near one of the resident areas, a hole appeared with water filling in and a head emerged.
Li Chunhua spat the water and observed the surroundings. Luckily, the spot she chose was secluded. She crawled out and to edge of the narrow alley.
There, she was able to see Halflings wearing colorful clothes passing by. She realized one big problem. With her height, how will she able to blend in?
Li Chunhua thought of a possible plan.
"That could work." She took put fabrics from her inventory and wrapped herself with only her face exposed.
Three minutes later, some Halflings saw another Halfling with a bulging stomach and thick thighs walking around weirdly.
Li Chunhua was walking while squatting down. This is so hard.

Nikolai felt a splitting headache as he soon as regained consciousness. His eyelashes trembled and a through his blurry sight, he saw the outlines of the tall buildings. he blinked a few more times.
When his vision regained, he was able to see the scenery clearly and the sight of numerous Halflings stunned him. "Where am I?"
