Chapter 267: Send me back

Could it be there’s a spirit stone vein or mine nearby?

Or maybe...

The faces of her Master and Senior Sister appeared in her mind.

A portal back to her world?

Li Chunhua became excited and swam fast. It didn’t take long for her to reach the end and saw a wide cave room not submerged. She spun her head and saw the cave wall full of golden spirit stones, each bigger than her fist.

The qi essence became denser and some of the strands drilled into her pores and slowly entered into her dantian.

Master, talk! Are you fine?

"I-I..." Li Chunhua didn’t know what to say. Her mind was blank as sheet as she crawled to the shore.

This was never mentioned in the book but how can spirit stones appear here?

She can never mistake them because she used those multiples times to buy food and bribed the cooks to make her meal portions bigger.

Li Chunhua looked around a few more times until she saw the spirit stones one by one glowing brighter and the qi essence floated to the ceiling.

A sense of foreboding feeling arose within her as slowly looked up and saw a 1 meter-portal on the ceiling sucking all those qi. The ceiling was full of runes brightly glowing.

"You got to be kidding me!" Li Chunhua tried to leave the cave by leaping back to the water but as if it can read thoughts it also sucked her in.

Not me! Give me break, will you! Find another one to recruit!

Half-way, she cast the absolute zero to cover the portal but it swallowed her skill.

"..."

But Li Chunhua was yet to give up and dug her finger on the wall on the edges of the portal just before she was completely taken in. "I said I will not go in!"

Her fingers burrowed deeper and deeper as the suction force increased.

’Please Champion, help us...’

In the midst of her struggle, she heard a whisper.

"Look for someone else. I’m unavailable. Don’t you know I barely took a break? Have pity for those who work over time, will you?" She replied with difficulty but the voice was like a broken cassette tape record, It repeated the same phrase.

’Please Champion, help us...’

Li Chunhua was about to reply again but the portal widened which lead her to lose a grip.

Li Chunhua: (⊙_◎) Oh-oh...

Thus, she was eventually enlisted to an overtime work against her will.

"Darnnnnn....." Li Chunhua last word resonated with the cave.

The bangle waiting for its Master’s arrival was also pulled where it sunk and sucked in.

Master!!!

Unfortunately, Li Chunhua couldn’t hear anymore.

---

In the surface, despite his hands being bloody and wounded and stamina in critical line, the pale-faced Long Haoran didn’t let go.

He even coiled the roped around his arms. It was the same case for the three gluttons.

"Kya!" (Is Mama alright? I can’t pull anymore.)

"ji ji ji!" (Just a little more. Don’t let go of that rope.)

Little Mantou was also very tired.

Unfortunately, if even Li Chunhua could do nothing, these four’s efforts were bound to be in vain, they were pulled in as well as the large rock, caught in the whirlpool.

The intense spin and current knocked them unconscious. Long Haoran also couldn’t hold his breath for too long. He only managed to take a single glance before everything went black.

A minute later, there were four figures floating on the surface and underwater cave and were also pulled in to the ceiling.

---

After 30 minutes, the scouts of territories nearby who had seen the light had arrived in the border of the destroyed Craghollow Mangrove after losing some of their team members from the bugs monsters and poisonous plants.

From the spots where they were hiding, they could the forest was as if burned. Aside from that, they narrowed their eyes upon noticing some kitchen utensils and pots near the river bank.

[Corporate General Huang]: Report.

[Private Cai]: It’s positive. A battle clearly occurred. We found some things near the river. We are just waiting for the other side to show up and conduct an ambush.

However, after waiting for half an hour, the people they waited for still didn’t show up. The player with the pseudonym Private Cai signaled his other teammates to carefully fetch those things.

The player was very nervous but he couldn’t defy the order. He slowly walked towards the river bank, exposing his body.

A whistling noise entered his ears and an arrow pierced his right arm.

He cried out and found cover but another batch of arrows rained on the tree trunks he was leaning against. "Leader! I’m injured."

Private Cai saw it and trace the direction of the arrows.

Once he confirm, he called out the mage and have the female cast a D-level Fire skill.

Three fireballs shot and set the shrubberies on fire 30 meters opposite of their right. A second later, he heard agonizing cries and detected the blurry outlines of figures in faintly veiled by the smoke.

[-13][-23] [-10] [...]

The floating damage screen appeared making Private Cai’s team thrilled.

"Arrows."

The two sides exchanged fire for five minutes until Private Cai’s team won.

When the coast was clear, he went to fetch the things left by Long Haoran. As he did so, he noticed the white steam coming from the river.

One of the team members was very curious and went closer to the river. Just before he got close, holes appeared everywhere forming geysers and spewing out extremely hot water.

Some of it splashed on Private Cai and his members and he quickly initiated a retreat order to leave the place.

While leaving, Private Cai took a last glance and noticed the water level of the river was slowly reducing.

---

On the shores of a red sea, there was a steep ridge, a cave located at the bottom, closely resembling the cave that was full of golden spirit stones Li Chunhua ventured into but this time, but there was not a single spirit stone.

In the center of it was not a small pond but rather an ordinary looking bricked well. Its mouth was about 1.5 meters in radius. Dozens of weird-looking creature with pointy ears and their hair as if swept by winds and gelled into that state.

Their blue skin glittered as if studded with diamonds.

All these creatures were awaiting and craning their necks watching the well.

Their priestess that had a blue crown above its head was beside the well peering in and praying for a warrior to save them from extinction.

They waited and waited for hours until they saw a pale hand emerged from the well.

The priestess was delighted and kneeled and called out, "Warrior, you’ve come..." She couldn’t finish the rest of her words because a spear with its sharp tip grazed an inch her neck.

"Send me back." Three words were uttered softly yet it carried such a commanding tone that can scare someone witless.

The priestess stiffened in place, slowly lifted her eyes and saw a pair of blue eyes staring at her coldly.
