Sharon was in an incredible mood at the moment. She did not want anything damping her mood as she hummed and put her stuff in her car.

The driver would be here any second and drive the pair to their destination. But this delay made Sharon want to learn how to drive as well.

’I will ask Daniel about it and have him get me a private instructor to teach me how to drive. It will be a good skill to have in case of emergencies.’

Sharon decided as she got comfortable in the backseat.

Beside her, James sat stiffly. He looked nervous but also looked a little awkward sitting beside her.

Seeing him like this reminded Sharon of Daniel and her first outing. The older alpha had been this tense as well, and he looked awkward, not wanting to look at Sharon in case he accidentally fell for her pheromones.

Getting Daniel to come close to her at first had been a tough challenge, but as soon as he did, things had become much less complicated for her.

"James, is something wrong? You don’t look happy to be with me."

Sharon teased her son, but the kid flinched to her surprise.

"I-It is nothing like that! A-Actually, I did not want to say this, but can you not take me to school? I don’t know what to answer people if they ask me who you are. I-I don’t want anyone to make fun of you because you are my mother."

James looked nervous, and Sharon felt her insides boiling at his words.

She saw red, and her desire to talk with the school increased two-fold because of what James said.

"Don’t worry, James. No one would dare say anything to me when I drop you off. Just wait and see. I will tear anyone apart who tried to insult us."

Sharon promised with a strong look in her eyes. She was ready to fight for her rights, but James still felt worried.

But since his mother had assured him that it would all be fine, he decided not to argue with her, and he headed out with her to school.

Sharon walked him over to the front counter, taking James on her own before she led him to the front door.

Many kids and their parents who saw this paused before their faces became shocked.

"Excuse me, but may we know who you are and what you are doing here with a per student? Please answer me before I need to take legal action."

One of the teachers who saw Sharon and James decided to intervene as she walked over to them. Her firm eyes made Sharon feel insecure.

But the female omega kept a neutral face as she spoke with confidence.

"I am James’s mother figure, and I came to drop him off at school. I will also come to pick him up, so please take care of him."

The teacher looked at Sharon blankly before she took out her phone to make a quick call.

"Hello, police! I need to make a report to you. There is a strange, unregistered woman trying to kidnap one of our kids by saying that she is his mother figure. I need you down ASAP for help."

Sharon stiffened, and her smile faded as she glared down at the teacher after what had happened.

"Y-You-! Did you report me to the police? How dare you...I will not let this go without revenge. James, hurry up! We need to leave now and head home. I will not stand for this slander."

Sharon was pissed off for obvious reasons, but the teacher grabbed her hand and twisted it behind Sharon’s back in an intimidating manner.

"I am afraid that you are not going anywhere. I need you to remain here until the police arrive. James, you should head inside now and do not argue with me over this. It will not end well for you."

The teacher spoke firmly, and James ran inside as soon as possible.

He wanted to help Sharon and tell the teacher his mother was innocent. However, a single look from the beta teacher made him incapable of responding to her words, and he did what he was asked to do.

Sharon watched the kid hesitate, and she felt hopeful that he would speak up for her. But then the kid ran away the very next second, leaving her to face the police alone.

The teacher also made a call to Anabella, telling her what happened and how she had a suspicious stalker and kidnapper in her custody.

It was a bad day that was turning worse for Sharon. She felt her chest boil in anger as she was made to sit and wait for Anabella to come and bail her out.

"Tsk, I am telling you that I am not a suspicious person. I was James’s mother figure, and he loved me as well. You can ask him about me if you don’t believe me."

Sharon yelled from inside the custody room she had been placed in, but no one was there to listen to her.

In the end, she had to spend 24 hours there before she was let out, and that was also because Anabella had vouched for her the day before.

Sharon was red-faced when she left custody, and she felt bitter that her lover cared more about his reputation than her well-being when he came to pick her up. But that was fine for now. She could endure all this for the sake of her love.

’I won’t let this humiliation go. Once I am Miss Ross and Daniel’s wife, I will explain why you should not mess with me. I will kill you all and make sure you won’t be able to fight back against me, no matter what.’

Sharon had a lot of plans, but it would take time for her to execute them. And first, she needed power and authority to show that she had control over herself.
