Sharon felt shocked at the question she had been asked, but soon, joy filled her heart as she considered why Daniel was asking her this question.

A lot of possibilities crossed her mind, but one made Sharon want to jump for joy.

’He has finally come around. I cannot believe it is time to express my desire and take what belongs to me.’

"Oh, I have thought about it a lot, and I believe that it is time-"

"I don’t want another kid, and James does not want another sibling. I am sure that this is something we are on the same page about. That’s why I am so happy that you are my partner.

Daniel’s words were loud enough to overpower Sharon’s, and she looked at the alpha with a blank look.

Sharon could not believe what she just heard, but her heart skipped a beat and broke.

But she kept her expression hidden behind her strained smile.

"I-I see. You are right. I also don’t want a kid since it will interfere with our family. But still, if an accident were to happen and I somehow end up pregnant-"

"You don’t have to worry about it. I already talked to the doctor and got pills that would make it impossible for me to impregnate an omega. Unless something drastic changes inside me, or I take counter pills, I won’t have another kid.

So, you don’t have to worry about a thing."

Daniel’s smile poked at Sharon’s heart. That smile seemed to mock any effort she had made up until now.

But Sharon did not show it on her face as she continued to smile and bear all the hurt.

"I-I see. That’s good, then. I guess I don’t have to be extra careful with anything."

Sharon smiled on the outside, but her insides felt burning. It now made sense why nothing she had done worked until now.

’Tsk, I thought there was a problem with me, but it turns out that the real problem is Daniel. I need to get hold of his pills and change them so that I can get pregnant.’

Sharon had no idea when Daniel had started taking those pills of his, but she was glad that she had not gone ahead with the idea of getting pregnant medically and then pinning the blame on Daniel.

It had been a close call, but Sharon had been talked out of her stupid idea by Daniel’s sister.

’Tsk, that bitch knew that her brother was like this, but she did not say anything to me except advise me to drop this topic. I see that she is in on this secret as well.’

Sharon felt like she was being driven into a corner because of what happened, but she remained calm and did not show anything on her face.

"Good! Now that we are on the same page, I should leave now. This topic made me aware that I need to sign in James as my only heir to the company. That way, even if someone wants to use me in the future, they won’t be able to.

It is good to be careful and have all our bases covered."

Even though Sharon was not after Daniel’s money or company, this hurt her hearing and made her eyes water.

Her lover did not consider her a possible option to put in his will.

Sharon knew she should stay quiet and not speak up, but in her irritation, she asked Daniel a question she would regret.

"What about Anabella? Are you going to add her to your will as well?... Nothing is wrong with it, but I feel weird since you don’t get along..."

Sharon knew she had made a mistake when those words left her mouth. The tight look on Daniel’s face told her that the younger had forgotten all about Anabella until he had been reminded of her.

"Tsk, I will have to add Anabella to my vow since I don’t have a choice. Well, at least my lawyer would have brought it up when I talked about the will to him."

Daniel spoke in an annoyed voice, but he also flinched as soon as he realized he had no choice.

His words made Sharon relax a little. She knew that she hadn’t made a mistake with what she had done.

But still, it sucked that her lover was forced to attend to his wife, whom he did not even love or get along with.

’This sucks. But what else can I even do about it? In the end, I will just have to grin and bear with it.’

The current situation sucked for Sharon, but she was sure that it would be fine if she just kept her head in the game.

She had not lost this yet.

Even if she could not get pregnant, she still had Daniel’s and James’s love. And as long as she had it, she did not have to worry about anything.

With that in mind, Sharon changed her actions and headed after James.

Out of everyone in this family, the only one who could make Daniel change his mind about something was his son.

As long as James asks for a sibling, his father won’t have a choice but to listen to him and give Sharon what she wants.

She had no idea that her husband or Anabella had asked her not to have a kid. James had no desire to share what he had with a sibling.

This was also the first crack in her relationship with James, which grew deeper and deeper with time and no effort to correct it.
