Chapter 112: Ch 112: Why don’t you divorce him? - Part 1

Anabella opened her eyes as she forced her body to wake up. A nagging feeling in the back of her head told her that she needed to wake up, but Anabella usually did not listen to that voice telling her anything.

But for the first time in a while, she felt the need to wake up and look around.

Her phone was going off with messages after messages and a few calls. Most of these calls were from her mother and step-brother. One was from her father, and a few were from unknown sources.

But the one that attracted Anabella’s attention the most was from Daniel.

She knew from experience that Daniel did not call her unless it was an emergency. And after what happened a few days ago, there was no way he would call her under normal circumstances.

Anabella’s first instinct was to ignore that call and not think about it, but then she thought about the situation a little more and decided to give her husband another chance.

"Why are you calling me at such a time? You know I do not want to talk to you after what happened? What part of ’leave me alone’ did you not understand?"

Anabella asked in a tense voice, but for once, the person on the other end of the phone did not yell at her or call her names.

It was deadly on the other side of the call to the point that even Anabella felt scared for Daniel.

"Hey, are you fine? Did someone steal your phone or something? If you are going to speak up, then do it now."

Anabella let it be known how annoyed she was, and the other side finally spoke up.

But instead of it being Daniel, the speaker was someone else with a more feminine and airy voice.

"Are you Daniel Ross’s wife? My name is Lola Miers, and I want to tell you something important. You need to divorce Daniel Ross as soon as you can. He has marked me, and I need to be his new wife, no matter what."

The female spoke confidently, and for a second, Anabella blinked and felt confused by what she just heard.

She pulled the phone away from her ear to look at the caller’s name, but it was not a prank call. Someone had taken over Daniel’s phone and called her to prank her about this.

"Wow! This sounds funny, but I do not want to talk about this. Tell Daniel that he needs to be better if he wants to prank me. Now, I will go back to sleep-"

"I am not joking. The marking happened last night; you can see the evidence today when you meet your husband. Our union also has the blessings of Daniel’s mother. So please, back off and break this marriage."

The female omega stressed these words and seemed to have the wrong impression of Daniel and her relationship.

*Sigh*

"Look, miss, I don’t know what happened or what you know about my relationship with Daniel, but we are not close like that. If anything, you should be calling Daniel’s ’lover’ and not me. Now, I will cut the call."

Anabella warned seconds before she executed her threat. She could tell the other side had more to add but was not in the mood to hear her out.

She cut the call off and closed her eyes.

Then, it hit her all of a sudden, and she suddenly sprang up in her bed. She suddenly realized that someone else (not Sharon) had called her from Daniel’s phone to tell her that Daniel had mated her (again, not Sharon) and that Anabella should file for divorce.

Because of this, Anabelle could find so much ground to cover, but she had no idea what was happening. The most she could tell was that her husband had fucked up.

’Eh, it is not my problem. He will have to deal with Sharon on his own. I just hope it does not cause me problems in the long run.’

Anabella sighed as she lay down on the bed once more. She decided to throw this encounter out of her mind.

But just because she was willing to forget and forgive did not mean that everyone else was in the same boat as her.

Sharon bit her lip as she looked down at her phone. She felt annoyed with Daniel, and she wanted to call Daniel. But her pride would not allow her to call first.

Daniel had always been the one to call her first, and she would be damned if she allowed herself to give in and call the man first.

But as time passed, Sharon felt the urgent need to call her alpha and reassure herself that nothing had happened.

Just when she decided to put the phone down and do something else, she got a call from her friend.

"H-Hey, Sharon, promise me you won’t get too angry, but I have news about your...boyfriend. Don’t worry! Nothing happened...yet! But I am here to tell you something might happen and to brace yourself."

Sharon felt her heart skip a beat when she heard those words. She felt like she had learned of some forbidden knowledge that she should not have been imparted with.

It made her grip her phone and almost break it.

"Where did you hear this news from? Why don’t you tell me more so I can converse with my lover about it? I am sure he will have much to explain soon."

Sharon spoke harshly as she tried to contain her temper. But she was having a hard time keeping herself in check.

Hearing her speak made her friend realize she might have made a mistake. But it was too late to return anything and not tell her friend more.

"So, what happened is, don’t be mad, but your boyfriend came to his mother’s party, and people saw him leave with an omega in the middle of it. His grandmother took James for now, and no one has seen the pair."
