The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress -
Chapter 99: HOME SWEET HOME
Chapter 99: Chapter 99: HOME SWEET HOME
’It’s good to be home!’ that’s what Zara thought as she finally saw the light.
Being a princess carried out of the RV by Emma, Zara smiled as she looked at the group of people who were waiting for her.
These people were her family, the people who had always been there from day one. Whether they love or hate each other, the fact that they were all part of the same family wouldn’t change.
Seeing them in one place after years felt surreal.
"I am home!" she whispered as her eyes became teary.
Emma’s hands flinched when she heard the whisper. Mixed emotions surged through her as she gently placed Zara in the wheelchair. However, she didn’t say anything.
Seated in the wheelchair, Zara looked at her mother, who was nervously standing several meters from her. Her eyes were red and teary, and the way she was clasping those hands together, Zara had an inkling of what she was thinking about.
Looking at different and yet familiar faces, Zara knew she couldn’t cower at the last minute. No matter what, she was going to brace everything head-on.
Without thinking too much, she knew she had to use her charms to the fullest. Who made her the last born?
So, without further ado, Zara suddenly smiled brightly as she stretched her arms cutely forward, her gaze fixated on her parents whom she knew pretty well missed her badly more than anyone else currently waiting for her.
Lena and Cade, seeing that, which persuasive words did they need to be told to know what their princess was implying?
"Baby!" Lena cried out joyfully before losing it.
Emma watched tearfully as Lena, the lady who was concerned with her image, ran without a car to where they were standing.
Emma and Ava both stood a distance away after noticing what Zara wanted to do. Since their Miss was ready to face her parents, as assistants, they knew what was required of them. Stay away and give the family space. And that’s exactly what they did.
Zara smiled brightly as her mother approached her. If only she could stand up at this moment and hug her, everything would be perfect.
Unfortunately, because of her rashness a few days ago, she was banned from doing so. And she knew that it was for her sake. So, she didn’t make things difficult for the nurse.
"Mom!" she called out excitedly to the incoming woman and before she knew what was happening, she found herself in the arms that felt familiar and yet not familiar at the same time.
Zara started crying as she laid her head on her mother’s shoulders. Lena, carrying Zara in her arms, felt alive after a very long time.
When was the last time she carried or touched her baby?
She felt so light like she did when she was still eight years old. Even after fifteen years had passed, it was as if everything was still frozen back to that time. Getting overwhelmed with emotions, Lena hugged her daughter tightly and began to cry alongside her daughter.
By the time Cade arrived, the mother and daughter were both crying. Cade helped to carry Zara since he was afraid that something might happen.
Watching as the three hugged each other with sobbing sounds spreading everywhere, Selena scowled, her expression becoming sour.
"To think that I pushed my appointments to watch all this. What a waste of time!" she clicked her tongue as she looked away.
Brexley shook her head, lightly sighing at how childish her mother could be at times.
If she was someone else, she would have thought that her mother was being an evil stepmother again, but as her child, how could she not know her?
Ignoring her mother, she looked to the front and smiled relievedly. It’s been fifteen years, and it hasn’t been easy for everyone.
Ever since the day Zara was diagnosed with that unknown illness, her father became a bit distant and cold. It was not easy staying at home. Thankfully she was old, so moving out of the mansion was possible.
Without seeing his grumpy face and a crying Lena, her life went smoother than expected. She had heard about what was happening at the mansion and how difficult it was to see her fifth sister. Of course, everyone understood why it was like that and she found it a pity.
She didn’t like Zara that much. After all, it was because of her birth that they all sort of lost their father’s attention. However, at the same time, she understood that it was not Zara’s fault. Blame their father for loving Lena too much that he became like that.
Zara was back and, from the way she was seeing it, it didn’t seem like the spoiled princess would be dying soon. Rather than hearing hearsay, she was someone who preferred seeing with her own eyes. Just like she did.
And seeing Zara with her own eyes, she didn’t know what to think of it. Should she be happy or sad about this outcome?
Happy that she had a chance of recovering and that her father might be back to normal again. Or be sad that because she was like this, her father might start overindulging her again to make up for the fifteen years?
That was the greatest worry her father’s children had at the moment.
However, as she touched the hankie in her pocket, her temples began to throb.
’Let’s wait and see!’ she decided to see how things would flow from now on.
Meanwhile, on Zara’s side, Cade’s smile was slowly blossoming as he held his darling daughter in hand.
How long had he been waiting for such a day? Only the heavens would know and understand his pain and heartache.
And to be able to see this day, forget about the money and status he carries in Kuville. He was just too happy, unfortunately after so many years of being expressionless, he couldn’t express himself properly.
Nevertheless, seeing that smile on his daughter’s face was all that mattered.
Now it finally felt like home.
