Chapter 65: Chapter 65: TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2

"So, dear. Are you ready to tell me what you want for this marriage to be in existence?" Amir asked patiently as he looked dotingly at his beloved. He couldn’t look away even for a second.

Feeling his gaze on her, Zara couldn’t help but blush, complaining inwardly about how shameless and thick-skinned he was for him to say such words and act like that.

"You .... You are okay with me asking for terms and conditions despite it being me who is gaining more from you?" she asked hesitatingly after a thought, casting aside Amir’s shamelessness.

Amir looked at his beautiful goddess, his princess and the holder of his heart with affection holding her hands gently with his with his gaze remaining locked on her and answered, "Dear, don’t ever let yourself lower your position in my heart like that. I am not making a loss with this at all. In fact, I should be the shameless one here, since I am the one who will be getting more than you."

"If it wasn’t for this ring, I wouldn’t have forced you to make such a decision in the first place. I understand that this is something that I can’t change, but it also doesn’t erase the fact that I am taking advantage of your desperation to get what I want. So, dear, don’t underestimate the power you have over me. I will break my heart."

’OMG! This man is deadly. How can he say such words without even blinking for a second? How can he be so sweet?’ Zara cooed inwardly as she maintained her expression while looking at him with a faint smile.

"So, just give it to me. I will accept everything as long as it means that one day you and me will tie the knot!" Amir encouraged her upon seeing how quiet she was.

Zara exhaled as she closed her eyes for a moment before snapping them open again.

"Okay. Fine. You listen to me and then we discuss later once I am done!" Zara stated, leaving no room for discussion.

"Um. I will listen to you. Just take your time."

And taking her time, she did.

Zara thought about it for a long time, actually. What she wanted and how she could maximize her benefits in this arrangement. Although she could tell that Amir’s feelings for her were genuine, love was a scary thing actually, and she needed to make a safe space just in case something unexpected happened.

Besides, she didn’t want to trust a man fully, simply because he held one part of something that was crucial in reviving her cursed life.

So, she thought hard about it before concluding what she needed and so she began to tell it all to him.

"Honestly, I have never been in love before. In fact, I didn’t even imagine that one day I would get a proposal or face someone who loved me in such a sense and be so daring to tell it to my face."

"Despite being twenty-three years old, my body doesn’t fit my age. So even if people see me, they would all assume I am just a kid. So, the probability of me facing this current situation in my head was truly very slim."

"So, I am still quite shocked to know that this is happening right now, but always know that deep down in my heart, I really like what is happening. Because of you, I finally remember that I am also a woman and if I get better, I might even surpass other girls out there."

"For that, I thank you. However, just because I agreed to marry you, it doesn’t necessarily mean that I will do it straight away. I might be old, but in my heart, I am also a child. I haven’t seen the world as much as I want as even now, I am still locked in the house."

"I can’t even go outside freely, as anything might happen triggering an early death. So, for now, I will only worry about not dying without any thoughts of marrying."

"If you want to marry me, then you will have to wait. I will need to get better first, get completely healed before I even think of committing myself to someone else."

"My body needs to recover so that I won’t look like a little kid when I am with you. I don’t want people talking behind my back or pointing fingers at either of us."

"I haven’t done many filial acts towards my family, so I would like to stay with them for a while before I think about leaving."

"You live on a completely different continent, which will be difficult for me. So, for now, I will start learning your language, the way you know mine. This way, if I ever meet your people or your family, I won’t need a translator."

Zara sighed as she concluded, "So please, just give me time. It might be two, four, six or eight years, but what I know is that it won’t reach ten years. I will do everything in my power to make sure that I get healed. I don’t want to die and I won’t allow anyone or anything to kill me as a result."

If he were to say that he didn’t expect such an outcome in the first place, he would be lying to himself. At least she didn’t throw aside the idea of marrying him. It’s just that the marriage had been slightly moved until further notice, which would have been tricky for others, but for him, hehe, that was child’s play.

Since he was able to wait for thirty-one years, or should he say more than that, how could he lose patience for just a decade?

So, he rubbed her gloved hands in assurance, hoping that she wouldn’t feel bad about what she had said and commit to them before responding, the light in his eyes made her feel at ease. "I will wait for you until you are ready. I won’t force you to do what you don’t want. As long as I know that one day you and I will be together. Waiting won’t matter at all."

And those words came deep down from his heart.
