Chapter 66: Chapter 66: TERMS AND CONDITIONS 3
Zara was relieved to hear his assuring words. It would be pretty bad if he didn’t agree to what she had just said and that would have put her in a tight spot.
"I am glad that you agreed."
"I will always agree if it’s you who asks!" he didn’t forget to be flirty while he was it making Zara burst into a peal of hearty laughter, finding Amir to be very different from what his image portrays to those people who don’t know him.
"Then I will continue asking for more."
"Um. Don’t relent, and just give it your best!"
Ava and Emma listened as the two talked harmoniously as if they had known each other for ages.
How long had it been since they had heard Zara laughing continuously like that because of anyone? Even Quinn wasn’t able to do that at all.
And when they both thought of the young man standing by the wall with his arms crossed and eyes closed, the two couldn’t help but look at him and become helpless.
That couldn’t be helped. Although they weren’t happy with the way he treated them that night, he was still the young master they raised literally. So, they knew his thoughts very well.
He had been harboring feelings for Zara for far too long. It was no longer that easy to put a time stamp on it. However, they all knew that his feelings were genuine, though he was just a bit too obsessive for their liking.
After all, even if he liked her, was it really necessary to make his future in-laws so angry that they hated him so much? With such an attitude, how could he even convince them to give support if he ever gets successful in being with their daughter?
Unfortunately, there was no need to worry about that anymore.
honestly, if it wasn’t for Amir appearing at such a time, they would have continued to support Quinn in pursuing Zara, after all, having Quinn stay by Zara’s side was much safer and better since they have known each other their whole lives.
Unfortunately, Quinn’s procrastination led to this very disaster. At least he hadn’t said a thing to Zara, so their relationship would at least remain normal.
If they had somehow gotten involved before all this, wouldn’t it have been even more ridiculous if they were to be forced to separate because of a ring?
How much bloodshed, heartache, and other crazies would they have to witness just because of a damn love triangle?
Fortunately, none of that happened, but when they looked at his clenched fists as he listened to the laughter from the lounge, they just didn’t know what to think about anymore.
......
Later that night, Zara sat on the bed with a smile on her face as she recalled how happy she was when she was with Amir. Despite being cold on the surface, the man did everything just to see her smile and be happy all the time.
And when she thought of what the future would be like with him in it, she couldn’t help but think of the golden book.
Although she knew that there were still a few days remaining until she could use it, she couldn’t help but try her luck and call it out.
If the book comes out, it means that her chance to ask questions could be used, but if it doesn’t come out, then she would have to wait for a while longer.
So, she thought about the book and opened her eyes as she stared at her hands, hoping for a miracle.
She didn’t know whether she would succeed, but who knows if something would happen and surprise her?
"Flash!" as she thought and prayed for a miracle, a golden flash illuminated the room and, upon seeing that, a smile appeared on her face.
"Wonderful!" she exclaimed happily as she held the magical book in her hands.
"Now let’s see what is in store for me today!" she happily clicked her tongue as she opened the book.
From the first page, Zara saw all the conversations she had with the book. Everything was recorded, which made it easier for her to read it again and commit it to memory.
After reaching the new page, Zara began to think about what to ask next.
And in the process of doing so, suddenly the familiar handwriting started appearing on the blank page, writing something that made her stop thinking for a while.
[Congratulations child for successfully gaining the first relic needed to remove your curse. Your courage and faith in the unknown are truly commendable and for that, you will be given a chance to ask an extra question, making your questions four until you find the next relic which I will show you below. If you have any questions, think carefully before you ask. I wish you the best.]
Reading up to that point, warmth welled into her heart. She felt very touched, knowing that she was rewarded with an extra question and a free description of the next relic.
Zara didn’t hurry to ask her questions but thought of the first one very seriously before asking.
Q: [Where can I find the next relic?]
Since she was going to be described the relic for free, she might as well as when she will find the next relic.
A: [Athary, Dielas.]
Q: [When will be that?]
A: [July, this year.]
Zara was tempted to ask just exactly where in Dielas and Athary, but when she thought that by asking that question, she might waste a question, she decided to let the matter rest for the moment.
She had used two questions, and she had two more remaining. So, she needed to ask something more crucial if she wanted to save the last question for emergencies that May.
’What should I ask?’ she couldn’t help but wonder.
After an hour or so, a question finally came to mind.
Q: [After getting the ring, how long do I have to live?]
