Chapter 64: Chapter 64: TERMS AND CONDITIONS
"Miss, how did you do it?" Ava asked curiously as she helped Zara to change her clothes.
Zara grinned as she looked at Ava and Emma, who had finally thought it through after so many hours.
"Hehe, I guess that getting the ring had such an effect. I guess that now it’s evident why I needed to get it!" Zara responded truthfully, as she felt very jubilant at the thought that she would be able to do more the more she collected every relic.
When the two heard that, they both looked at the ring with awe in their eyes.
"Miss, this is very good! Haha, at least we didn’t suffer like that for nothing. I am happy that your dream has come true, princess!"
"Haha, this is only the beginning. You will see."
The three of them were very excited as they prepared for the day.
Meanwhile, in the flower field, two tall men stood glaring at each other, devilish sparks getting exchanged between them.
"If you are not going to say anything, then I might as well leave. I have an appointment with Princess!" Amir scornfully said as he sized the young man. He hated so much more than the enemies he had been battling with for decades.
Quinn looked at the man he had only known for a day and yet hated so much that if his princess wouldn’t get hurt because of his actions, he would definitely get rid of him, even at the expense of his life.
Ever since he heard Zara declaring that to survive, she was willing to marry a man she had only met for a day; he knew when she was gone, and after digesting her words that a shady deal had been made in exchange for the ring.
He couldn’t confront Zara or the two aunts, so the best choice was for him to confront the culprit, who caused so much bad luck to happen in the past few hours.
So, he went to look for Amir and the man was very cooperative and agreed to meet up with him. However, the two of them had been sizing each other for a while without saying a word.
But now, Amir was literally provoking him intentionally, which was a declaration of war to him.
"What did you threaten her with?" he asked hatefully as his eyes were bloodshot just looking at him.
Amir scoffed as he looked at the man, who only realized it when it was already too late, and replied, "How can I threaten her? Do you think Zara will respond to threats?"
"You ... just answer the damn question!"
Amir shrugged before letting out a chuckle. "Boy. You are still young and I understand where you are coming from, but what does that have to do with me? If you are curious, go and ask her. Maybe she will tell you, maybe she won’t. But one thing is for certain, you will be seeing me more in the future."
When Quinn heard that, he was so infuriated as he couldn’t believe that Amir dared to confront him like that.
"You .... What will it take for you to leave her?" Quinn closed his eyes as he asked that.
"Hahaha, boy. You are truly a dreamer, aren’t you? Since I have found her after so long. What makes you think that I will leave her?" Amir mocked as he looked at Quinn with a disgusted expression. "If you have the means to snatch her away from me, then you are welcome to try. I have an appointment to keep."
Quinn opened his eyes as he looked at the back of the man, he so dearly wanted to get rid of, but he knew that it wasn’t the right time for him to do so.
He needed to know who his opponent was first before he could even think about that. So, as he watched Amir leave, he took out his phone, made a call and issued a string of orders before hanging up gloomily.
....
When she saw him entering the house, a smile blossomed on her face. She thought that he wasn’t coming seeing how the clock continued to tick without his appearances.
"You are finally here!" she said in relief as she saw him approaching.
"Um. I am sorry for being late!" Amir apologized as he approached the little girl sitting in a wheelchair and covered in a heap of blankets affectionately.
Zara waved her hands dismissively while wearing a smile on her face. "Don’t fuss. Just come and join us. We are about to have breakfast."
Amir’s eyes lit up upon hearing that. Having a meal with his beloved, he was looking forward to it.
"Sure, thanks," he didn’t let the chance pass and agreed readily.
Zara’s eyes brightened, seeing that Amir didn’t turn down her invitation, she urged him to come and sit next to her.
Since they were going to get married in the future if she managed to survive, she might as well try to get close to him and learn more about him in the process.
Emma and Ava both had smiles on their faces as they watched their princess take the initiative to invite Amir over.
They also watched happily as the two ate heartily. What made them even happier was how Amir was concerned about Zara and showed it without hiding at every second.
He didn’t eat much but made sure that Zara was well fed and he was very patient about it.
When the meal was done, Zara and Amir went to the lounge where they sat while Ava and Emma stood close, just in case Zara needed something.
They also stood guard just in case Quinn returned from wherever he had gone to, early in the morning.
When they were seated, Amir’s eyes locked onto the ring that sat perfectly on her finger and love oozed from his eyes just seeing it there. ’Perfect!’
Seeing the ring that had been with him for decades, Amir couldn’t help but recall that dream that had been taunting him for decades.
’I found you. Don’t worry, I will bring you peace pretty soon. Just be patient for me, my goddess!’
