Chapter 61: Chapter 61: UNTITLED
As he looked at his master, a man he had served for most of his life, Tehr couldn’t help but feel very complicated.
His master was thirty-one years old, one of the most sought bachelors in the kingdom of Rozinya, where they came from.
Amir was born the firstborn child but unfortunately, due to some reasons that were only known by a few people, he wasn’t the normal child that the family expected him to be.
In the Frostcrowns family and the main branch where he was born, Amir had a younger brother and a younger sister whom he both loved dearly.
Amir was born the rightful heir to the Frostcrown’s legacy. Unfortunately, due to some reasons unknown to many, he wasn’t able to take on the mantle of such leadership, thereby passing the inheritance of the rightful heir to his little brother.
Amir was not close to any female. All the people who surrounded him were mainly male. Amir couldn’t even spend quality time with his mother or sister. He was simply that way and that problem had been plaguing everyone for the past thirty-one years.
It made the madam worry so much that every time she thought of not holding her grandkids because of that, she would cry for days and get admitted.
But who would have known that one day, Tehr would get to see his master holding a lady’s hand, though the lady was too small to be called one?
Who would have guessed that one day his master would pursue a girl after seeing her photos just once?
Tehr was even shocked when he learnt that Zara was looking for his master’s ring. Why would she look for it when it was a secret of what the Frostcrowns owned?
It was even crazy for him to think about it. Zara wanted the ring, and Amir needed the girl. As long as Amir gave his ring to Zara and she accepted it, it was more of agreeing to become his wife.
After learning that his master had left the ring to Zara, which would make the madam crazy once she heard about it, he didn’t know what to think anymore.
But as long as he was happy, then he was fine with everything.
Now he just wanted to see if Zara was going to accept such an unfair engagement and see what the future holds for both his master and Zara.
......
Meanwhile, at the house where Zara and her people were staying, Zara wore a frown on her face as she fought a battle. She wasn’t winning in the past hour.
"Miss, I think that it’s now pointless. Why don’t you just let it be?" Ava suggested with an uneasy expression on her face, seeing how determined her mistress was.
Zara sighed tiredly as she looked up to face Ava, who had been standing by her side worriedly for the last hour.
"Ava. If I had known that by wearing it, it would be stuck and refuse to come out like this. I shouldn’t have done it!" Zara regretted it so much that if it was possible to rewind time, she wouldn’t be so willful.
Ava, seeing her mistress’s distressed expression, didn’t know what to do. It wasn’t like she didn’t dissuade her into not trying it.
But Zara, being herself, didn’t listen to anyone and wore that ring on her finger. And now she couldn’t remove the ring from her finger. If they used too much force, Ava was truly scared that something scary would happen, and she didn’t want to see such a thing happening.
"Miss ... maybe this is fate. We can’t really escape it!" Emma could only say after thinking about it for a while.
Zara shifted her focus to her nanny and pouted as she looked at her.
"Emma, must I really succumb to it?"
"Miss. We all want the same thing here, for you to live. And for that to happen, the first step is that ring. If Amir didn’t take a liking to you, we couldn’t find it here, no matter how hard we try to find it. Every time I think about it, I think that it is destiny leading us here, Miss. And for things like this, we can run away from it. So, we might as well accept fate and ready ourselves."
"But .... I ... I don’t just want to accept it readily like that. I haven’t seen the world yet and all of a sudden, I need to get married. How is that fair?" she felt indignant the more she thought about it.
Although she knew that only that fate awaited her. To accept it fully and wholly was another story.
She knew that two days later, she would be agreeing to Amir, but she didn’t want to agree just like that. That was the life she was talking about here.
If she agrees to his proposal, that means that he will be stuck with him for life. What if they aren’t suitable? What if he doesn’t treat her the way her family did? Wouldn’t she suffer?
"Miss, I think sister Emma means okay here. Besides, accepting the proposal doesn’t mean getting married right away. We can think of ways to delay the marriage until you are sure that you want to get married."
"That’s true. We can’t go back on our words. One way or the other, we still have to complete the process, but we can determine when that happens. What do you think?" Emma suggested once again, hoping that Zara wouldn’t overcomplicate things and just accept her fate already.
Zara sighed helplessly when she heard that.
She had asked herself several times whether this was what fate wanted, but now that she was hearing someone else pointing and stating the same; she knew that she wouldn’t be able to run away from all of this.
"Fine. I guess I can only succumb. Let me think about how long I can drag this out. At least I have two days to think about it!"
