Chapter 206: Chapter 206: REMOVING THE CURSE 4
The thought of winning against Amir made him so eager that when Zara told him of her request, he didn’t hesitate but comply.
"There is something that I didn’t tell everyone before. To remove the curse, I need blood from the person who loves me, cares for me, someone I love dearly and have been with for the longest time."
Hearing such a long confession, at least for him the part where she said someone I love dearly, how could he not do what she wants?
The truth be spoken, Zara loved him. He didn’t know if it was the brotherly love or the love between a man and a woman, but he knew that she had feelings for him.
If circumstances did not force her, then maybe it would have been with her right now, and not Amir.
Unfortunately, after cutting his palm, he didn’t feel well at night, so now he could accompany her to protect her during the ritual.
However, inwardly, he vowed that once his illness settled; he was going to stick by her side like a leech and never leave. She needed him, and he was going to do his best to make his presence known.
When Amir heard those words, he didn’t dare believe them, but seeing how confident Quinn was, his heart couldn’t help but feel very cold.
Feeling frustrated with the boasting, Amir suddenly reached for Quinn, who was still at ease, feeling like boasting and without warning, landed a punch on him.
Thud.
Without warning, Quinn found himself falling to the ground with blood seeping from his lips.
"Hehe!" he couldn’t help but chuckle mockingly as he wiped the blood from the corner of his lips while looking at Amir as if he was a fool and said, "The second you did that, you lost. Just wait and see her leaving you! Haha!"
Bang. Bang. Bang.
Thud. Thud. Thud.
Grunt.
Grunt.
Grunt.
All sorts of sounds resonated in the room and Tehr plus several guards guarded the door closely while stopping Quinn’s subordinates from getting anywhere closer to the room.
After a while, Amir got out of the room, his knuckles red and his expression very gloomy. Without saying a word, everyone could tell that a bloody storm just passed in the room and whatever mess remained in there it was going to be horrible.
Amir left without looking back. Those daunting remarks continued to swirl in his mind.
Remaining behind at the temple, his subordinates found Quinn a mess, battered and beaten a bit too much.
There was blood everywhere, and he was laughing like a maniac as if he had won something instead of losing.
As a result, the subordinates could only treat him and hope that the wounds would heal as soon as possible.

After driving for hours, Zara and everyone arrived once again at the scared land. And this time, they were more welcomed than before. After all, when they left the last time, the sacred land received a bountiful blessing, and the land was recovering. And all that was possible because of Zara.
So, seeing her again, they couldn’t help but have hope that more miracles would happen again.
On that night, Zara met with the priestess who confirmed with her about the sacrificial items or relics she would need to bring to the temple for the ritual ceremony.
Zara had everything ready, and the priestess was relieved. The priestess told Zara what she needed to do, and the other agreed to everything.
The next day, Zara went through a cleansing ceremony the whole day and ate vegetarian dishes. It was a tortuous day, but one that made her feel like she was getting nearer to what she wanted.
The next day, Zara was brought to the forbidden land where the temple was located. The one where the three goddess statues were. The temple where she got the fourth relic.
When everyone arrived there, there was an altar prepared with thousands of candles placed around. The temple looked cleaner than before and Zara didn’t know if the people cleaned it or it cleaned itself.
Anyway, she was here to get the curse removed, and not to inspect the temple.
To remove the cruse, Zara was required to follow strict steps and any mistake would result in something awful and irreversible. A single mistake would result in death, and no one wanted to see that.
Wearing a white gown, Zara wore the pendant of eternity as required around her neck. The ring had never left her finger, so it was safely in place. She also wore the armlet and the moment she put it on, for a moment she felt dizzy, as if she was getting overwhelmed by intense energy.
These three relics were required to be worn on her body before lying on the altar.
With everyone watching, Zara was helped to lie on the altar where her hands were put on top of each other, waiting for the Book of Death to be placed on top. It sounded scary just to hear about it. After having that damned book on her would seem to be calling the spirit of death over her and not chasing it away.
Zara closed her eyes as soon as she was in that position and waited for the priestess to finish the remaining procedures.
Amir, alongside others, was watching as the priestess took out the book of death, that damned cursed book capable of killing people without a move and then the dagger of suffering.
However, as he looked at the dagger, he noticed something strange.
Why did the dagger have blood on it? And it even looked fresh.
Who was stabbed by the dagger?
He didn’t see Zara at all. Then whose blood, was it?
Thinking about this, he couldn’t help but think of Quinn. A sharp object slashed his palm and now that he looks at the dagger, that seemed to be the culprit.
Why did Zara use that cursed dagger to slash at Quinn?
What was she hiding?
Could there be something more that she didn’t share with others?
Suddenly, he found that this might make sense. But now the question remains, under which capacity did Quinn offer his blood and what was the connection between the curse and Quinn?
The more he thought about this, the more agitated he became.
