The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress -
Chapter 173: DREAM CONTINUES
Chapter 173: Chapter 173: DREAM CONTINUES
"Saintess, you shouldn’t be here!" a young male servant anxiously called out as he looked at the holy lady of the temple, the one ordained by the goddess, walking casually around the area where he was picking up leaves.
"Hehe, is that how you treat me now?" the saintess chuckled lightly as she continued to walk towards the male servant, a smile on her face, making her look radiant and ethereal, especially with that white hair fluttering with the wind.
The male servant at this stage didn’t know what to say at all. It wasn’t like his words were heavy enough to influence the saintess.
The one person who reigns above all and was only under one person, the deity herself.
The saintess tilted her head as she came to a halt, taking a closer look at the servant she remembered giving a name to a while ago.
How much time had flown?
Zahrah didn’t know why she was like this most of the time, but being around this male servant made her feel comfortable.
Once in a while, she couldn’t help but find herself walking towards and observing him.
He was just a sweeper, someone who was saved by the temple and for the rest of his life, he would be slaving for the temple.
He was an existence that by logic and by those old fogies who loved interfering in everything that she does, she shouldn’t bother even sparing a glance.
After all, she was the chosen one, the saintess, and the one destined to save all troubled souls from their ailments.
And yet there she was again, coming closer to him.
’Sigh ..... why am I having a bad feeling?’ she couldn’t help but sigh as she felt shivers down her spine just standing there.
Before she knew it, days, weeks, and months quickly passed. And her life at the temple was the same as always.
Worship the deity, treats the ill and when her boyfriend comes, she would spend time with her.
She was a worshiper, a faithful one and yet the fact that she couldn’t be with a man and couldn’t fall in love, she found it pretty unfair.
It was the first time that Zahrah found herself going against the temple and the goddess she loved the most.
Her life was going to be long. It wouldn’t hurt to love once, right?
The goddess’s love for her was in abundance, so after fussing up a couple of times, the goddess caved in. As a result, she became the first and last saintess of the temple to have a lover.
She was very happy. That wasn’t a secret.
Her lover, Walter, loved her a lot and had always been there for her all the time. He never pressured her, trusted her and, above all, let her do what she loved.
Facing such a man, how could she not let her guard down?
Zara, finding herself witnessing the part of the dream she never got to see, felt like beating Zahrah to a pulp.
Watching the interaction between Zahrah and Walter, she could tell that there was something wrong from the beginning. Unfortunately, Zahrah who never saw the harsh world but was brought up in the temple for the majority of her life, and when she wasn’t yet a saintess, spent her youth worshiping the deity, was an idiot to not see such schemes hidden deep with what Walter was doing.
Seeing that, she acknowledged how easy it was for Walter to have killed Zahrah unexpectedly. She was simply an idiot.
However, for the sake of watching the relationship between Zahrah and Mir, Zara gritted her teeth as she watched the whole one-sided love of Mir.
She found him pitiful and at the same time felt grateful despite everything which happened. There was at least someone who loved Zahrah earnestly.
What infuriated Zara as the dream continued was how she couldn’t see Walter’s face. It was as if someone was obscuring his identity from her and she understood why that might be the case.
With how Mir looked exactly like Amir, she was certain that Walter was the same. Since this person was by her side, then it wouldn’t take much effort to recognize him.
They were probably doing this to stop her from finding the culprit and betrayer, which was uncool. Nonetheless, what else could she do?
It’s not like she could force whoever was responsible for showing her this to give her what she wants.
So, she continued watching the dream and the past events of the time that she couldn’t remember.
One day, the temple was nearly empty. Everyone was busy doing their chores and Zahrah, who didn’t have to treat anyone, was having a rest day.
It was also a day that she usually met with Walter and continued to foster their relationship, and she was looking forward to that day’s date.
With everything prepared, Zahrah waited patiently for Walter to arrive.
"Why is he late?" she couldn’t help but wonder at some point, noticing that time had passed and yet he was nowhere to be found.
Glancing around, Zahrah frowned as she noticed that the number of priestesses, maids, or servants around the temple was pitifully few.
It was as if these people had gone on a holiday.
At this time, weren’t they supposed to be back from their outside chores?
Doubtful of what might be happening and what these people might be keeping from her, she decided to check the main temple, which was a long distance away from her usual date spot.
However, before she could go far, she stopped in her tracks as, from a distance, she spotted him. He whom she had been waiting for a long time finally appeared.
Seeing him walking toward her with his hands behind her back, a smile blossomed on her face.
’What could he be hiding this time?’
’What gift will it be?’
She was filled with curiosity and anticipation about what Walter had for her this time.
He had never been disappointed, and honestly, these gifts to her were always special to her.
They were different each time, and they weren’t as expensive as others might expect.
In her eyes, as long as they were meaningful, then the cost becomes meaningless.
Walter was smiling at her as he approached and so was she.
They were indeed a couple in love.
